I liked a certain wired topped frame but I wanted the lenses to it to be bigger so I could get bifocals with computer distance on the bottom. He can do that! He explained to me the difference between reading glasses distance and computer distance. It turns out I use the computer distance far, far more than reading distance. His frame selection is good but he can work with any good quality frame and he'll let you know if your frames will work. Some guys will sell you you anything just to make a buck, Randy is the opposite. He'll give to advice about what will work best and has been doing this business so many years he really knows what he is doing. (My advice is to listen to his advice.)

Don't go by his website hours of operation because he does not follow the hours of operation. I called this past Saturday and was told he would try and have them by 3:00pm and he would call me, NO call and of course my glasses are still not ready. I've visited his shop several times to try and talk to him because he never answers the phone. Never there for me to talk to in person. Don't buy from this place unless you want to wait a good long while. Finally got my glasses after a month and they were not good! Left lens was scratched, metal on noise piece was bent and scratched, washers under screws were cracked. Looked like they were very used.

Review of Wylie Eye Center…read more I have been a loyal patient at Wylie Eye Center for the past 8-10 years, returning every couple of years for an eye exam, new frames, and the same type of lenses I've used for years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has been deeply disappointing and unlike anything I've experienced with them before. This time, a mistake was made -- the wrong type of lenses were ordered. I realized the issue immediately upon receiving them and even called from the airport the same day to report the problem. It was clear upon review that they had ordered the wrong lenses. I requested the correct comprehensive lenses to be ordered, expecting the matter to be handled promptly. Two weeks and many follow-up calls later, I was finally told my lenses had arrived. When I went to drop off my frames with the incorrect lenses, I explained the situation to a young staff member, who said she would look into it. The next day, when I returned to pick them up, I was shocked to be told I needed to pay for the new lenses -- essentially paying for two sets, one of which I will never use. What's worse is the complete lack of communication and care throughout the process. No notes were taken, no follow-up calls were made, and the staff I spoke to the previous day didn't even remember me. When I asked to speak with the office manager, I was told she was busy but would call me before the end of the day. That call never came. After over a decade of trusting Wylie Eye Center, this experience has left me saddened and frustrated. The quality of service and care I once valued here seems to have disappeared entirely.

Went there a couple years ago.. Very poor prescription for…read moreprogressive lenses made them like funnels charged $500 and REFUSED a refund. Went to cornerstone this year, I can actually see and they found retinal damage that explained my " fuzzy vision " I told schaker about. Had to get the retina reattached with a laser... At least cornerstone knew what they were doing and saved my eyesight. Next time, don't delete honest reviews because they make you look bad, that explains why BBB doesn't back you.

Went in to get a prescription as required by my employer, which I mentioned multiple times to the doctor and the girl at the front desk as my reason for being there and I don't need any fancy $32 retinal imaging . After them making me take my contacts out and put them back in no less than 3 times, and an exam, the doctor refused to give me my prescription. They also kept asking me about my old prescription as if I know it off the top of my head and told me they couldn't tell if my prescription had changed since I got my previous prescription. I can't see the letters WITH my contacts in, what do you mean you can't tell if it's changed?! My eyesight has obviously gotten worse. This office is straight up incompetent. I'm planning on doing a charge back for services not rendered since I was refused my prescription after paying $139 for a "contact lens evaluation and eye exam"

A few months later I received a statement for less than the amount requested at the time of my appointment. Recently, I returned for a follow up visit for problems I was having with surgery. Upon arriving, before checking me in and questioning the reason for my visit. I again asked for payment prior to my seeing the doctor and submitting visit to insurance. I am having problems with my vision because of potential error made by the doctor, and they are asking for payment prior to my seeing the doctor! Absolutely unprofessional and insensitive! All about the dollar bill! I would not recommend this doctor if care about your vision!

I brought in a pair of Amazon Echo frames, they were new to them. That's fine. But I asked them if they needed them.. (for fitment or ship off) they said "nope! We just use this tool to measure then size and that's it. " Sure enough 2.5 weeks later (after I call a few times to get an update as the website never updated) my lenses come in. Bring my frames and.. shocking the lenses don't fit. So what do they do? Send my frames and lenses out to get taken care of. You would think they would ship these out priority or something. Nope. Here we are 1.5 weeks later and no phone call. I called on Friday and they said "oh I see they shipped back out" Monday (today) no call.. no answer on the phone.. I see on here hours are till 5pm. I leave the house/work 15 mins early to get here before 5pm. Of course. They are closed with hours posted till 4pm. Check Google again, and (verified by them 3 weeks ago) They didn't even have to order me frames! It's just glass. I can't even understand.. who are they using for manufacturing because this won't cut it. Dr. Was super nice. But that was all of 20 mins. The rest of the experience is with everyone else.. Get with the communication a bit better please. This has not been the best experience.

DOWNHILL!! Newbie employee couldnt even tell us which are women frames and which are men's. He…read moremumbled horribly and was not shadowed by a seasoned employee. He could answer no questions. We were there forever, and left with his $900 quote ... and that was with a 50% discount and no blue light. Other employees were dealing with a customer unhappy with a quote they would not honor. Ageism is rampant at this location and we've been loyal customers for a decade. We walked away, and won't ever be back. We will tell our friends to stay away from this Firewheel location.

The doc was rude, unprofessional, and unwelcoming, an absolute grotesque bedside manner. The so-called eye exam, if you want to call it that, lasted less than 2 minutes and in that time, he pushed my daughters' shoulders back 2x and he was completely dismissive of her responses. When i asked if my daughter needed new glasses/new prescription his response was condescending. He never gave a straight answer as to whether or not she needed a new pair of glasses. He never introduced himself nor did he ask my daughter's name. When I mentioned that my daughters school nurse informed me that my daughter failed her schools eye exam, his response was "well where is the paperwork to back that up, I will sign it". He appeared to be agitated that he was even having to give an eye exam. The worst part of this experience for my daughter was that he put his hands on my daughter shoulders and pushed her back. My daughter is Autistic and has a sensory processing disorder, so she was very uncomfortable being touched like that. What kind of eye doctor touches their patients that way, it was unsettling. Again, the whole 2min exam was an awful experience and grotesque. Please do not use this office, if you want stellar service please look elsewhere. If I could rate this as a -100 i would. I am looking into reporting him medically for touching my daughter in that creepy way!
