Dr. Bruce Colton saved the day in a big way!!!! I have horrible astigmatisms in both eyes that make finding just the right contacts near impossible. For years, I had been ordering the one brand I could find that was perfect, straight from the manufacturer. Sadly, this year they changed their procedures and began requiring the Dr to be the one to place the order. I was in a serious bind because the person in charge of ordering contacts at the optometrist office that wrote my prescription never got the order right. This is why I started ordering them myself. I was forced to find an optometrist willing to place an order from a script he didn't write and a patient that wasn't his. Dr Colton not only readily agreed but went ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations. He double checked the prescription to make sure they were correct and upon doing so was able to tweek the script so that my vision was MUCH better. Because these are specialty lenses (due to the amount of correction necessary), they usually take some time to get. I am used to the wait. However, when Dr Colton placed the order he was informed the plant was 2-4 extra weeks behind in production due to a flood in the manufacturing plant. The plant had just reopened and they were making all the back orders first. Then Corona Virus happened and the lenses got pushed back even longer due to mandatory shutdowns. It ended up taking 2 months in all to get the contacts. The great thing though is that during ALL of this, Dr. Colton checked on the progress regularly and then gave me updates as he received them from the plant. The minute the contacts were shipped, he furnished me with the tracking number so I could know as soon as they arrived at his office! There were numerous other little things he did during this process that just added to the experience. His staff is SO friendly, welcoming, and efficient! I am impressed as his level of service towards me when I wasn't even a full-blown patient of his at the time! I made a NP appt. with Dr. Jordan took 3 months to get , had to resechudle due to boyfriend going out of town and the dogs. I went it to the appt. and checked in they looked at me like i was dumb, and another girl walked up said i am checked in. Got called back tech was great did her part , then put me in roomn waiting for Dr. Jordan, and a man walked in (Dr Tran) i said i dont have appt with you its with Dr. Jordan he said she is not in was very apologetic and sent message to manger, i went on with him for the visit. Got my prescription and left . I got my glasses at Americas Best the text me when they were in got them and they were so blurry, Deanna said maybe your tired try them out tomorrow and call me. Next day went to wotk and could not do my job, couls not see, next day wore my old glasses and was fine. I called back Americas best they told me to call Brandi back ofice Manger and say you want another Dr to do eye exam , so she got me in with Dr. Colton . I went to my appt. he was so rude did not say sorry once the whole prescription was wrong , he fixed it, so i asked are yall going to reiburst me the money i waisted at Americas Best on things i di not need he laughed . I said give me my prescription and walked out . Went back to Americas Best Lisa Office Manger helped me the DUMB Dr. Colton did not do progressive and my old glasses and the ones Dr, Tran did had them . i was so mad So they called and he was with a PT, i left Lisa said she would call me. I called and Dr. Colton left bt they texed him he caked me and did not say one word but that i told Dr. Tran i did not wmat progressive , Well they had them on the prescription. They are the WORST office i have every been too i DO NOT RECOMEND them at all. THANKS TO AMERICAS BEST IN MURPHY FOR CREDITING ME BACK WHEN IT SOULD OF BEN bRIGHT EYES. The staff was very friendly, the building was nice and clean and Dr. Colton is really amazing. I was a new patient coming in for an eye exam and to get new glasses before I head back to school. I have a chronic problem with developing chalazions on my eyes which he noticed and we talked about and he ended up prescribing a medication that would help prevent their formation in the future. I just want to say thank you, I've been taking my medication for 2 days and the chalazions that were there have virtually shrunk. No ophthalmologist I've been to, whether here in TX or in DC where I currently reside, has ever taken the time figure out how to stop these infections from reoccurring and would rather have me pay hundreds of dollars to receive steroid treatments and surgery. He solved my problem in a matter of minutes and I am truly grateful for that. This will definitely be my preferred optometrist when I return home from school. -Torian G. read more

I had been to Dr Colton a few times for prescriptions and new eyeglasses with great success in the past. This time I had a glasses emergency since the frame snapped apart suddenly and I was in a panic. I came up to Bright Eyes Clinic and saw the they moved to a larger facility and have several eye doctors there now. First, I was recommended where to take my glasses for repair and I did that immediately. I made an appt but Dr Colton was on Vacation so I reluctantly made it with his new colleague, Dr Suarez. I will say that I am just as happy with my appt and manner of which she took the time to explain some things she saw in my eye pictures and made some suggestions for things to test the next time I get blood work done with my primary doctor. I am now confident that I can see any of the 3 doctors in Bright eyes and get excellent service. The assisting staff was also excellent in what they do!! AAA+++ read more

I am very picky who I take my family too for medical care. I care for persons with special needs & I have a 10yr old son. You could say doctor appointments are my life. When my son was 8yrs old we were told he needed glasses. He lost 4 pairs of glasses in a 2yr period. I moved to Garland & began looking for an optometrist that is good with children and that I could trust. Dr. Quddus was absolutely great. She had a very good rating and did not make my son complete test he was afraid. Well, come to find out he didn't need glasses @ all. So, not only could I trust her with my kid. My family and I just relocated to the area recently and I just had my first eye exam with Dr. Colton this morning (8am, first appointment of the day). I was in the exam room within minutes having my eyes checked. He was extremely personable and willing to explain everything he was doing. As we have recently moved and needed to find a new optometrist for the family, I went to Dr. Colton in order to have my eyes checked (obviously) and to scout out the operation for the rest of my family. At the conclusion of my appointment, I setup appointments for both of my children next week and suggested to my wife that she setup an appointment - I think that pretty much says it all. read more

Dr Bruce and his team is great. Very professional and helpful. I've shown both my kids here. But what is not great is the waiting time. 45 min after the appointment is just too much to bear. And this has happened on more than one occasion. If the Dr and the front desk sees this review kindly make all effort to reduce the waiting time. Waiting longer than 10 min especially with kids is stressful . We make all effort to get our kids dressed just to be on time. Would appreciate if you do something about it. This office is brand new construction and so nice. I've had two exams with Dr. Colton and he was super awesome both times! I got scratched on the eye with my kid's toy and he was able to make sure it was healing properly. Also, after my third baby my prescription changed and he was able to get it back on track, spot on, so that I could see when I was driving much better! Has also talked me through an eye drainage block (which was very painful) and gave me a reference to an ophthalmologist, but luckily with his recommended treatment I didn't have to get it flushed out- yay! read more

Dr. Colton is awsome! He gives me the attention I need and answers all my questions. I wouldn't go to another eye doctor. He even talked about a growth on the top of my eye, explained what it was and talked about the options on wheither to remove it or leave it there. Doctor Colton has great chair side manner and works with patience by taking his time and explaining what he's doing. He doesn't rush you through like other doctors do. I rank Dr. Bruce Colton as one of the very best eye doctors I have seen. He not only gives a very professional examination of the health of the eyes but also has the expertise to write a spot on prescription for glasses and contact lenses. I am particularly impressed with the state of the art equipment he utilizes to assist him in his diagnosis. I had an appointment today with Dr Colton. Great doctor, great staff! Very friendly, comfortable office. He took the time that was needed to explain things....plus I didn't have to wait long! I had stopped in 2 weeks ago because the lenses had fallen out of my glasses, I had never been there before but the place is close to my house. He fixed them for free. I told him that I would use him when I needed new glasses. So today I had my annual eye exam with him. I'll be using his services from now on! read more

Love this place! My daughters appointment was yesterday. They did an excellent job explaining to me about my daughters vision. They sent her prescription to the teacher in a timely fashion with no problem, The staff is nice and friendly. Books for the kids to read in the nice cozy couches. Clean environment and the wait was not long at all. I enjoyed my visit and wish I know about this place before I got my eye exam at another office. After taking May daughter to vision source in garland for about 3 years, I got tired of how they could makeup their own rules and how rude they were. I decided to begin looking for a new place to visit giving that my daughter needed to be getting her eyes checked. I had lots of questions for him and he didn't mind answering them. He was great with my kids, too. His office staff is also very helpful. Highly recommend I have been taking my daughter to a different clinic for 2 years but because their customer service went down the drain I decided to give this clinic a try. Best decision ever I love the staff and how clean they are! Not to mention they all wear a mask and the wait time is my favorite, I'm used to long waits but we were seen right away and every time my kid had to do something they would make sure to sanitize everything!! read more

Dr. Colton was absolutely amazing with my 8 year old. She had never been to an optometrist, and him and his staff made it fun for her. He took the time to explain in simple terms what was going on with her eyes to where she could understand it. Great with resolving medical issues like cataracts, dry eyes, etc. and takes Medicare and all major medical insurance like Blue Cross. Great explaining glasses and contacts prescription recommendations, and takes all vision insurances like VSP. On call for after-hours eye problems, so you don't have to go to the ER. Dr. Colton is the best optometrist I've ever been to and awesome at handling emergencies ! I once had a situation with my contact possibily being stuck in my eye, and he actually rushed from another office and stayed after closing to check my eyes, which was very thoughtful !
