I recently had an excellent experience at LensCrafters in Fremont Hub, located on Argonaut Way, and I just had to share! I needed new glasses for a new job, and since I was in a bit of a rush, I was looking for a place that could get them done the same day. After a recommendation from my eye care doctor, I decided to visit this LensCrafters location, and I'm so glad I did! I arrived around 10:30 AM, shortly after they opened, and was immediately impressed by the clean and professional atmosphere of the store. There was only one associate available to assist customers, and that was Rez. He was absolutely fantastic--respectful, attentive, and incredibly friendly. His attention to detail was remarkable! I walked in with my prescription and insurance information, and instead of browsing around, I asked Rez to help me find a pair of glasses within my budget that were similar in size to my current ones. He quickly gathered four different styles for me to choose from, including a sleek black metal frame, a plastic option, a gunmetal frame, and a unique design that only holds the top of the lenses. I ended up choosing the gunmetal frame, which looked great! Rez informed me that with a single vision lens, my glasses could be ready in just 60 minutes. He explained the options for anti-glare coatings, which I appreciated. I opted out for the anti-glare with blue light filter, which was a bit pricier. I just went with the anti-glare lens. When I declined the warranty, he generously offered me a 50% discount on it, which was a nice bonus! After he took some measurements and a few photos for accuracy, I was told my glasses would be ready in no time. I left the store around noon and received a text at 1 PM that my glasses were ready--talk about quick service! Overall, my experience at this LensCrafters was fantastic. The quick turnaround, paired with the outstanding customer service from Rez, made it a truly enjoyable visit. I highly recommend this store and will definitely return for my future eyewear needs, especially when I'm ready to get some stylish dark shades! read more

Today I received a text from Lens Crafters to come in. No thank you!' In Nov 2025 I visited LensCrafters and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I tried to schedule an appointment to fix issues with my current prescription, but I was given a hard time throughout the process. Despite clearly explaining that my eyesight had gotten worse, the staff did not update my prescription and insisted on keeping the same one. The front desk guy was awful. He kept asking if I had an appointment and that he needed to see my wrong prescription to make sure it was what it was. I just don't trust their service anymore - the front desk and the doctors. Compared to 5 years ago, I don't think I'd bring my business back here. Because of this, I already bought an eyeglass from another glasses store Jin. And then it was the wrong prescription. had to go back a 2nd time for another eye appointment where they tested my eyes. Then I received the correct eye glass prescription. I also went to Kaiser for glasses to check I wasn't misled. They did give me a normal prescription higher than the 1st doctor at Lens Crafters. So, not only did I pay for glasses in wrong prescription I had to try other places for a second opinion. I expected more understanding and support especially when it comes to eye health. I hope LensCrafters improves their customer service and takes situations like mine more seriously in the future. At this point, I can't recommend this location based on my experience. Service at front desk: terrible Doctor: didn't give me the right prescription. She claims it's better to go lower. I already ordered glasses with prescription. Honestly it was $140 glasses with their wrong prescription. They should really comp that glasses and pay me back. Had to come a 2nd time. Prescription for glasses was same as last years was outdated!!! Costed me to change glasses They made my prescription too low. It doesn't make sense Went to a second shop - Kaiser and they gave me the proper prescription. Also heard that services from Costco and Jin's are top competitors to go to. read more

I have been a long time customer for over 30 years. I will never do business with LensCrafters again I have a low vision disability in which the DMV let you get an eye appointment and the doctor fills out the paperwork return to DMV on this visit, a mystery charge of $25 came up to fill out that paperwork I've been getting filled out for that same period of time Dr Bei Zhang would not explain to me why this $25 charge is now I explain to LensCrafters why I needed this appointment ahead of time asked them for charges. I was not told about $25 charge to fill out a two page questionnaire for DMV. I'm very disappointed in them for taking advantage of people with disabilities. The location is very convenient. I have been the customer of LensCrafters for more than 5 years. I like their nice services and you have more choices of the styles of the glasses in the store or online. They offered free one year insurance coverage for my glasses last December which can protect one year of both the frame and the glasses. This is an additional protection for my glasses. She truly took the time to listen and understand the challenges I've faced over the past few months with both LensCrafters and Warby Parker--especially with my eye exams and getting my lenses made. Her patience and attention to detail stood out, and she was able to diagnose my issue more effectively than any other doctors (at LensCrafters/Warby Parker) I've seen in the past 9 months! The service is shockingly bad, the staff are flippant and unprofessional. It's clear that there's a serious issue with the way this store is being run. I strongly urge the franchise owner to take immediate action to address these problems. This level of service is unacceptable and needs to be rectified now. Came back here to get my eye exam and buy glasses. Figure I give them a try again...nothing has changed. The people here are not friendly and very condescending. In addition, they have no empathy and customer service skills. The optometrist was pleasant, everyone else that works in the front is the problem. I spent over 1 1/2 hours in the store and observed how they treated and spoke to one person to another. Ridiculous!! The reviews for this location are accurate. Service isn't the best and I'd say Dr. Tang needs to improve her bedside manner. Upon arrival, the ladies working had to finish their storytime with their current customer be fore checking me in. Okay not that big of a deal. I'm giving a one star review because Dr. Tang is simply rude. I asked a question when we were discussing an image of my eye and her sarcastic tone and answer was simply not needed. My question for her was concerning something I've noticed with my eye. Her reply of "this is a scan of inside your eye, so I can't see what's on the outside because this is inside" was rude to me. I'm not a Doctor, so I wouldn't know that and it's my eye so I'm going to ask since it's an image of my eye. Anyways to make it simple and clear for anyone reading this. AVOID THIS location! Bad experience: 1) they ask you to schedule appointment but nobody ever picks up the phone, and I had to actually drive there 2) when I get there they ask me to wait for 40 mins to check my insurance coverage 3) I left the mall and came back later, only was told that the VSP insurance doesn't cover the second set frame any more due to it is out of network. They could totally have called to tell me that so I didn't have to drive back. Bad custom service and bad experience for me. Never coming back. read more

Just an overall great experience. Scheduling the appt was easy and there was plenty of date/time availability. When I arrived the store was super clean and organized and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The eye exam, both the pre exam and the exam itself were very professional and informative. Yes, this business earned five (5) stars for the exceptional services Dr. Noorie Dong, O.D. and the entire team at this LensCrafters provided me. With a name like Noorie Dong (her real name), you'd expert this optometrist to be a Master Sushi Chef -- making lots of 3-stars Michelin sushi with different nori (edible seaweed); nope, she didn't use my eye balls to make sushi -- probably won't taste good anyway. Maybe she is a Master Sushi Chef incognito :) Optometrist by day; Sushi Chef by night! It was able to get an appointment the same day. The team is very professional, efficient and friendly. And they told me that I can get a 30% discount as a AAA member, even though I have no vision insurance (like VSP). This is a great service and good for AAA (which insures my new car and also provide me with road-side service assistance) -- I needed eyeglasses for night time driving; my current one is 5 or 6 years old -- still good but I wanted to wear eyeglasses that would provide me the best possible visions at night, when I need to drive my recently disabled mother to the ER at night. This place has state-of-the art eye examination machines and equipment. The technician (the lovely Ms. T.; she knows her stuff!) tested my eyes and visions on these fancy machines and equipment with warmest courtesy and tremendous professionalism. Dr. Dong then examined my visions and found that my visions changed only slightly, based on my existing eyeglasses (I had my visions checked 5 or 6 years ago when I got my current eyeglasses from a different optometrist). She wrote a prescription (slightly higher) and referred me to an ophthalmologist for further examination of my ocular nerves. I picked out a frame (with the help of the extremely knowledgeable Sarah) and since the lenses I needed were in stock, they "made" me a pair of new eyeglasses within two hours. I got a 30% AAA discount on both frame and lenses. My new eyeglasses, which was "made" and ready for me in two hours, provide me sharper visions when I drive at night. Great job, Dr. Dong and team! I was pleasantly surprised when I received a follow up telephone call today from one of Dr. Dong's assistant (the lovely Ms. T.) to follow up on whether I had seen an ophthalmologist. Now, that's great service. (I'm hesitant to get these services at Costco, where I'm a member; or Walmart -- goodness no!). And Kaiser Permanente, where I'm a member without vision care coverage, charges about twice as much for eye exams and offers no discounts! Update: November 11, 2015 I went back and got a pair of Ray-Ban ClubMaster prescription polarized sunglasses. LensCrafters is running a special, providing 60% discount on prescription lenses for sunglasses. Alvin used some fancy machine to take measurements of my face for the best possible fit for my RX lenses. I picked out a black ClubMaster (KP charges $199; here it's $149, Ray-Ban's MSRP). It's so convenient for customers like me that LensCrafters has a lab on the premise to "make" prescription lenses. My new Ray-Ban RX shades were "made" in a few hours in the store's lab and ready to pick up the same day! Everyone was courteously attentive to me and made certain my new ClubMaster RX shades fit me comfortable and properly! I bought a pair of Maui Jim non-RX shades directly from MJ (because I had a promotional discount) -- new color: Hawaii Blue mirror coating on a pair of Baby Beach. I brought them to LensCrafters several times for adjustments to the nose pads and ear hooks. Alvin, Gabriel and Silvia adjusted them for free and they were very courteous. I have been coming to the Newpark LensCrafters location for many years and its the professionalism and quality of the staff that keeps bringing me back. If I were to lower the score a tad it would be for the variety of frames - I would ask them to add a few more fashionable ones! But whatever I select, I know I'm in good hands with Alvin Singh. Alvin is knowledgeable, kind and honest with his opinion if a frame does not flatter! He goes out of his way to accommodate my somewhat unorthodox request to "sharpy the inside" of my lenses so that they reflective edge is removed from my glasses. Alvin's colleagues have come through for me when finding a coupon I forgot to bring in... so kudos the staff here. But do try to bring in some cooler frames... read more
