Had to wait an hour to have work done, again, with lenses that were not as ordered. Asked to switch doctors and they wanted to charge me $50 to change. Now they only have one doctor. My insurance company was able to tell me that eyecare center is trying to charge me for a test that is not covered by my insurance. With every eye appointment I have ever had, if ever there was a test available that wasn't covered, I was always asked if I wanted that. And I have asked 3 times for eyecare center to send me an itemized list. I have also asked on the phone what they are charging me for. They said items not covered by insurance. But they can't tell me what exactly, nor does the bill have a list for what I am being charged for. My husband and I both have been going to eyecare center a long time. The doctors changed, the staff was different. It felt rushed. But what doctor's office waits 6 months to send a bill by email. No call. No paper bill in the mail until I asked. And when I call, I don't get to talk anyone in the office I went to. And they don't call you back. No I do not recommend. My husband and I won't be back.

The front desk staff provided a warm and welcoming greeting and made the check-in process smooth and efficient. The technicians were knowledgeable, professional, and guided me through each step while clearly answering all of my questions or any curiosities I may have had about the equipment. The eye doctor was thorough and attentive, throughout my entire exam (as well as answering any questions I may have had) and the optician was incredibly helpful in assisting me with selecting the perfect pair of glasses. Every team member demonstrated strong expertise in their role and made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my visit. Purchased glasses for the first time with these folks last year, as they are close to me, but have…read moresince regretted it. Whomever produces their lenses makes an inferior product. There's a reason the glasses are cheaper here. The lenses scratch very easily (even via just cleaning with cloth designed for glasses) and when I had the lenses replaced under the 1 year warranty and became extra vigilant about trying to reduce the scratching, it didn't matter. Have worn glasses my entire life (decades) and haven't had to deal with this type of issue before, so it's definitely a symptom of poor lens quality from this business. Will not be returning for future replacements, I prefer not to hear all the excuses they have that suggests it's something I'm doing.

In the last fifteen months, I have had an experience with Drs. Harper, Lark, Baer and Robinson and…read moretheir entire staff that should win them all awards. I had a crazy accident that caused my right eye to actually burst open and fill with blood. We thought I had lost that eye forever. We bypassed the ER and went straight to CEC where the entire staff jumped into action. Dr. Harper, my regular ophthalmologist called Dr. Lark in immediately. They consulted with Dr. Baer, who was out of town, on the phone and they included my wife and me in their discussion. My wife, a nurse, was so impressed by the level of collaboration we saw there. That, in itself, was a confidence builder. Just less than 2 hours from the time of the accident, Dr. Lark had me in surgery putting my eye back together. Along the way, I needed a vitrectomy and a lens implant-- 4 surgeries in all. We are so fortunate to have so many highly trained surgeons- each contributing his/her own area of expertise-right here in Concord . And their assistants and front office are the best. My doctors went the extra mile for me. They gave me their home numbers. They called to check on me. They knew we were worried so they saw me almost daily for a long time. Drs. Robinson and Baer arranged to do surgery at night after long days in the office so both could be there to work together. The teamwork among the staff at all levels was amazing and their kindness has been comforting. I could see that they were all doing their best for me. After the third surgery the doctors said that they were afraid there was little hope that my vision would recover. The next day, however, I saw light, shadows and even color for the first time! Two months ago, Dr. Robinson implanted a new lens in my eye which improved my vision greatly and this week I was fitted for new glasses that will bring my vision back to 20/20 in both eyes!!
