On a recent trip to get out of Louisville on Derby Weekend my wife did some looking for something to and Lemons Mill Brewery was one of those stops after a 2 mile hike (up hill, all the way) at Shaker Village. Kind of an unassuming place, Lemons Mill Brewery isn't all about the hype and outrageous signage, but more about the laid back atmosphere and about being genuine. And it hits that nail on the head. On this Saturday we walked in and sat at the bar, looking for some liquid/cooling refreshment. We were immediately greeted by Colin (as I recall) who engaged us in conversation and answered questions about the beers on tap. It wasn't long before I arrived on my flight of choice for this afternoon. Although they featured beers brewed by Lemons Mill they also had brews on tap from other breweries. I'm the kind of guy who's generally interested in the house brews, so that was my focus. My flight of four were all great picks, and I especially liked the G-Spot Jalapeño Ale. As we sat at talked to Colin and with Keith (one of the owners) the time started to fly by. They were both genuinely nice guys who knew a lot about beer and LOVE what they did. We had an absolutely FANTASTIC afternoon. So much fun, in fact, that my wife even ordered a cider (and that, my friends, does not happen often). It's bigger than it looks on the outside, with a sizable bar, quite a few tables, and all their brewerying equipment out in plain sight. They're not hiding a thing. I wish Lemons Mill was closer to home, but at about an hour away it's really not that far from J-Town. Don't pay attention to reviews that knock this place down for its location or exterior appearance. They're wrong. The heart of Lemons Mill is inside. Oh my god I cannot say enough good things about this place and I can't believe it's taken me this long to review them. I hosted an event here and the owners were truly so wonderful to deal with but I have to highlight Keith. He was such an absolute GEM of a human, he helped me decorate for the party and was so helpful throughout the evening, seeing to it that every single one of my guests was taken care of and we had everything we needed. They have an impressive beer list that I'm pretty sure Keith brews, including some fun and unique offerings like ones that incorporate jalapeño and peach and mango. The mango was particularly delicious and puts Mango Cart to shame! The place itself is super cute and well decorated and I know if I was local I would have spent a lot more time there. They also arranged a local BBQ spot to cater, which was delicious. I truly thank these folks from the bottom of my heart for their stellar beer and wonderful hosting skills and hope they THRIVE, as they deserve. read more

Wonderful, locally owned brewery. They have 9-12 of their own beers plus several guest beers and ciders on tap. They also have a full bar with some unique local whiskeys. The staff and owners are very welcoming and they are dog friendly. read more

In an effort to finally complete the brewgrass trail passport we made a trip to Harrodsburg and Lemons Mill. The bar area had a cool vibe and the beertender was very welcoming and talkative. They weren't busy and our table was near the bar so he happily chatted us up the whole time. They have mostly beers that they have made but also some from national breweries as well as some domestics. Overall the beers we tried were just ok but the variety and service make it a place to try out. read more

One of my favorite breweries. It's a bit of a drive to get here but well worth it. They have a bunch of their own beers (13 on tap the day I was here) and another 11 guest taps. I tried the Red Headed Shroom a pomegranate wheat on a very hot day and it was delicious and refreshing. I've tried flights of their beers on other occasions and they have all been amazing. One of the best things about Lemons Mill is there is always at least 1 gluten free beer on tap. If you happen to be here when the owners are here make sure you say hello. They are wonderful guys and very nice. Lastly there is almost always a good truck here with some tasty food to wash down your beer. read more

We have seen this brewery go through many changes since they first opened. From an expanded bar to an extended patio for private parties groups. Definitely a great addition to the downtown Harrodsburg area. They have won several medals for their own beers. My favorite being their Dunkel, they won a medal from Ireland for this beer. They have 24 taps with half being their own and the other half from other craft breweries as well as a domestic Thursday - Saturday they have food trucks at their location, check out their FB page for their food trucks of the week. read more

I wouldn't even go inside this place. When Siri told us we arrived at our destination, I was shocked. All I saw was an old garage and what looked like trash bags covering a deck. I didn't even see a marked entrance! The only way I knew this was the place is my husband spotted a small sign on the building. The neighborhood was sketchy. The parking lot looked like a good place to get abducted or shot. Now I know why there were no pictures of the exterior of the location on Facebook. It might look better on the inside and maybe they have good food, but first impressions are everything and mine was to get the heck out of there! read more

Don't pass this place. We visited Harrodsburg to see the Shaker Village. When first passed by the Lemons Mill Brewery on our way to our inn. We didn't stop in until we discovered that the tavern at our inn wasn't going to open. I suggested to my wife that we try the brewery. What a great surprise. I tried 8 of their brews, and all were great. I come from a city that has over 30 breweries and this SAS my favourite. The owners were onsite and spent a lot of time with us. So refreshing, my wife, who doesn't drink, even encouraged me to stay. I took multiple beers home, which I never do. Great place and people. Highly recommend. From the outside, you may drive straight past the unassuming, industrial building, not thinking this as a gathering spot. Go on, step inside. You'll find a cozy and fun tap room offering a very large selection of their house beers. During the holidays, they had several seasonal brews (6 or 7 I think) including a unique Key Lime number that just tickled my taste buds in the best way! Lemons Mill is a craft brewery I have followed since the beginning and I must say they have definitely stayed close to there roots with this location. The staff were friendly and the beer was good I was let down by some of there offerings but overall most beers were really solid. During my visit they had roughly 16 beers on tap all of which were made in house, and the brewery had plenty of places to sit and visit even with the covid-19 restrictions there was plenty of room in the bar. This place is a solid local brewery and somewhere I would definitely visit again. read more

They have a ton of beers on tap that are there's and also they have a ton of beers on tap that are not there's (Country Boy, Three Floyd's, ETC..) there's in-house brews are okay. Myself I don't not prefer them.One of the owners was nice enough to give us a tour and that was really awesome to see a small town brewery compared to a big brewery. Great Tap room, very vast and inviting! We have never been here so we need to get a flight each. I got the dark ale( Bullocks), blonde ale ( H2A2), dunkel ( Schadenfreude), and fall ale ( 4th and Goal). My favorite which we didn't get in out flight was the Dr. Peckerweizen(Hefeweizen). This brewery has a pretty cool tasting room. There is a bar and also seating area with couches. They also have an outdoor seating area. We chose to sit at the bar and were not disappointed. The bartender was polite and very helpful. He was dressed in a kilt but for some reason I never asked him why. My wife and I both tried separate flights of their beers. Most of them were really good. After talking to the bartender more, he let me sample a couple of others that I did not select for my flight. These were good and I got a pint of one of his suggestions, I just cannot remember the name of it. I believe they have food trucks but we were there very early so we did not eat. If we are back in the neighborhood we will be sure to stop in for drink. read more

My boyfriend & I stopped in this brewery on our way back home from visiting friends. Their #6 Hey! IPA was really good. There is an area behind the bar with a sectional, coffee tables, comfy chairs to relax at with group. Country music was playing over the speakers that night. Didn't ask but sure they open the garage door when weather permits. We were there a few wks ago in freezing weather so it's a good thing the garage door were closed. read more

I've lived in H-burg for almost 8 months and didn't even know such a place existed! Went here for St. Patty's drinks and had a great time! 24 taps, some brewed there and some local favorites. Good beer at good prices, but to clarify: the brewery serves NO FOOD. They have a rotation of food trucks that park outside, so check their Facebook page to see what food truck will be there. You can bring the food inside the brewery and sit on sofas or at bar tables. Great idea. read more

We went once and had an okay time. Good atmosphere & clean. If they had a few more selections of domestic beer, then 'maybe' we would go back. My husband drank their beer (I had a couple of samples but didn't care for it) so I had to settle for wine.
