They were at the Mission College First responders & Nursing Career Fair. My friend and I went to their truck because it seemed like the only place on campus that was selling food. I made my purchase paid around $15 with a tip. Had I know they were in a process of a big order. I would have made the decision not to buy food. I waited about 30 mins. When I asked about my order he had forgotten. With the amount of orders they had to fulfill. My order felt like it could have used a little more rice and salad. Overall food was ok. read more

I ordered ahead of time via website and picked it up. I arrived right before they were closing up for the night. They offered and gave me extra egg rolls from the newly fried up batch they made for me. The food was really good and I would definitely return to try more items. I love their really sweet and nice energy they gave me in small talks. Customer service is excellent! I followed their Instagram page to be able to see when they return back to SJ flea market location. read more

We were thrilled to see the Lemongrass Lane truck at this year's AAPI event at the San Jose History Museum Park. The food was excellent as was the service. We ordered the lemongrass chicken which was cooked to perfection and the flavors were so delicious. The salad was very refreshing - this is the first time we have had a salad dressing with a little sriracha kick. We hope to see your truck at the next fair or event! read more

I was at a local event that had food trucks and this was one of them. I had the Chicken Curry Rice Plate: Curry consisting of potatoes, chicken, onions, carrots. It was not bad, nothing special. Not super flavorful but filling. Liked the soft potatoes and plenty of chicken in it. Good amount of rice. Took quite awhile but they were busy. read more

Solid meat and rice. The egg rolls were nice and crispy. For the price, you get a good amount of food compared to other food trucks. They also get the food out quicker than other trucks as well. read more

Can't say anything with regard to authenticity as I have limited exposure to Cambodian food, but I'm pretty sure the beef slices in lemongrass beef shouldn't be pink in the center (as you'd get with a medium steak.) The lemongrass sauce was decent and flavorful, but the meat had that weird half cooked texture. The portion was pretty much the standard portion as seen in the picture on the side of the truck, plus another full load of beef! Uhhh, the spring rolls... Pretty good deal, 6 giant spring rolls for $7.50, but they were lukewarm, greasy and had zero crunch. The filling was tasteless and required the much needed spraying of that sweet and sour sauce. They were more than generous in plating but should probably focus more on the quality of the food. read more

Got to try this place when they came to the flea market and I ordered the beef plate. I didn't get any of the carrot salad thing like in the pics and got just salad instead which was fine. It comes with a lemon grass sauce which I felt it tasted a little off but that's probably Just the lemon grass. The meat and rice and portions were a good amount. Pretty simple so if you are looking just for meat and some rice this is a place to go. They were also fast and friendly service ! read more

I lived in Cambodia for 6 years and I've never had Loc Lac that tasted traditional until I tried Lemongrass Lane. They season the beef perfectly!! You can add a spring roll for $1. Move over King Egg Roll! These egg rolls are probably the best egg rolls in South Bay. The egg rolls were crispy, well seasoned, and a hearty meat filling. My only complaint, it didn't come with a dipping sauce (maybe Tuk Trey/fish sauce?). These egg rolls are a must order when trying this truck out :) read more

Lemongrass Lane catered my kids birthday party! It was our first time using a food truck and it was the best! They worked with me to create a kids menu- chicken tenders and fries and all the adult food. Communication was easy and smooth, setup and service was great! The Lemongrass Lane food truck was in front of my hotel when I got there after a long day of training. Because I had a lot of work to do, I figured I would just grab something quick from the food truck and it would be another mediocre meal on the road. I ordered the beef and rice, and a chicken spring roll. First off, the two ladies who were working the truck were absolutely adorable. They were very sweet, and I chatted with the one who took my order for the three minutes or so that it took to prepare my meal. Big plus for actually engaging with customers! Now, imagine my surprise when the meal that came out was not just some little appetizer-sized meal. It was huge! The beef was cooked perfectly. It was moist and tender, not overdone and tough. The beef was not overly spiced, so I got a perfect experience of the savory meat. The egg roll was nice and crispy, and absolutely delicious. If you have any concerns about Cambodian food, you can forget them. It's similar to other southeast Asian foods. It had a nice serving of rice, and was served in a bed of lettuce. It was not super spicy at all - I added Sriracha because I like spicy food. My spice averse kids would have no problems with this food. When I stopped by on the way out of the lobby to go to my room in another building, I told the lady in the truck how much I enjoyed it. She just beamed. It was so cute! I definitely recommend this place. The people are awesome, the food is fantastic, and the portion was huge. Wins all around. read more

First time eating from this food truck and I had the Lemongrass Tofu dish. For those who don't eat meat, this fish won't disappoint. I wanted more but had to control myself. I ordered their beef sandwich and it changed my life. The bread was toasty and had this magical orange sauce on it. The beef was juicy and perfectly cooked. I came back to order the beef plate and ask for more of the magic sauce. They gave me both a lemongrass sauce and an orange mayonaise sauce. Both were mindblowing. The lemongrass sauce was even better than the orange sauce -- it's an oil base with 5 herbs in it. After I finished the beef plate, I looked around to make sure nobody was watching, and drank the leftover lemongrass sauce. These ladies have a passion for what they do and it shows in their food. Delicious Cambodian fare from a fabulous family in a cute lil' food truck? Sign me up. There is no way you can eat just one of their delicious egg rolls !!!! The ingredients were superb and I am so mad that I didn't order more food. Lemongrass Lane came into my life today and I have deemed them as my go to for egg rolls. I have such a difficult time finding a Cambodian restaurant around town. This is my first time finding a good truck that served Cambodian food which makes this one pretty unique! I've tried their lemon grass chicken and vegetable curry and it's worth getting! I've never had anything more authentic than the is place! Would recommend to try it here! read more

I had LemonGrass Beef from this truck during one of our office festivals. The lemon grass flavor was out of this world and created magic in tandem with the beef (they definitely have some secret ingredient :D). I am hooked and will be chasing down this food truck instead of Srasa when I want some Cambodian from now on. read more

Got the lemongrass chicken with white rice. I will say the portion size was good, and the chicken was fine, but it was a bit plain. The rice was a little undercooked. Listen! I've tried this truck a few months back. I just got off of work and had a long day but my boyfriend decided to go fishing after work so we looked for a taco truck. To my surprise there was a truck event going on and right next to the taco truck was Lemongrass Lane Food truck. Cambodian food! I was so surprised because I've never seen a Cambodian food truck. Even though I bought tacos I left it with my boyfriend on the bench and grabbed some lemon grass chicken and beef sticks I was so happy because it tasted just like my moms cooking. It brought back memories , good ones too. 10/10 I'd go back for sure! If only it wasn't so far but hopefully they'd try the food truck mafia for the Oakland As then I'd be there every time they're on the list lol read more

Their efficiency and food were both very bad. It was the worst food truck experience that I have ever had! I went to the truck at Backesto Night Market. I stood in the long time for than 30 mins only to find out the food that I wanted had been sold out. They should have put up a notice or something as soon as they realized that. After ordering a tofu rice plate and a stir beef rice plate, I waited for another 30 mins to get my orders...The tofu was so dry and the beef was lukewarm. It didn't seem that they made the food upon order. If it wasn't, how could it take so long to get my orders ready....I could really tell lots of the customers in the line were very pissed...AVOID THEM. The reason why there's a long line in front of their truck was bcuz they don't have efficiency instead of their food being delicious! read more

I was so excited to try a Cambodian food truck. Especially in the Bay Area which is rare to find. However, after ordering my food and trying it, I...I honestly did not like it. The beef was flavorless and very chewy. The pickled vegetables were not crunchy or fresh tasting. My plate was very sloppy, and the rice wasn't...it wasn't fresh. The rice taste like it had sat in the pot for half the day or wasn't cooked all the way, like a mixture. I don't think I'd be giving this a second try, for 2 beef sticks and rice it was approximately $10, but for that price I really wished it was something to brag about. The 2 stars are for them being very friendly and nice. It pains me to have to write a bad review, but I've had Cambodian food and this...this isn't close to the flavor of good Authentic Cambodian Food... flavor just isn't there. Again...I must've went on a bad day or maybe got a bad plate but it's just not it. read more

I tried this place today in Pleasanton, it's a part of Food Truck Mafia. I had the curry chicken dish, and it was pretty terrible. It was $13+ and came with an egg roll which was alright. But the entree itself was cold and extremely bland. The chicken was moist but the sauce it came with was so watery and honestly tasted like plain unseasoned chicken. I was looking forward to some new flavors by trying Cambodian food for the first time, but this food truck is awful. My plate was ready just seconds after I ordered, but it must have been sitting out for hours. EDIT I reached out to the food truck and they were so nice and accommodating!!! read more

Came across this truck at a bike event today and I had to try it since there aren't many Cambodian restaurants/food trucks to choose from in the Bay Area. Hubby and I got the chicken curry and lemongrass beef and it was legit! Great flavor and good portions. Will definitely try their other items if we see them again. read more

I feel like the menu has gotten much bigger including Laos/Cambodian dishes. There were a few parties having lunch already when we arrived. We were told to head to the table inside. No specific tables were mentioned so we sat anywhere that was inside. Menus were brought out right away and the staff stood nearby waiting for us to take our order and was was brought out immediately after we ordered. We ordered the following: 1. La Mein Xao Thap Cam (combination stiry fried noodles): Reminds me of Thai's drunken noodles without the sweetness. Very savory and seasoning was just right. Flavorful but not salty. The noodles were thicker than the usual chow fun. It was cooked perfectly and is chewey just the way I like it. There was not alot of noodles but with the amount of vegetables with shrimp and chicken that it worked out well as the dish filled me up. 2. Hu Tieu Dai, Kho (Combination noodles w/ transparent tapioca based noodles, dry (or you can request with soup): The bowl is big enough for hubby to mix his noodles. He says the noodles were cooked well, nice, firm, and chewey. The sauce is flavorful and not too salty. Hubby says the protein could be more. There were a few slices of pork, 2 shrimp, 1 small piece of squid, 1 thin slice of pork heart & 1 small piece of liver. This dish is accompanied with a vegetable plate and a bowl of soup on the side. The vegtable plate had a small portion of blanched bean sprouts and a couple pieces of cut up Chinese celery. For my husband who loves veggies in his food, that was not enough. He asked for more bean sprouts. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal. Service was not great nor bad. When we need extra bean sprouts my husband was able to locate a staff and got their attention. His request was met promptly. Aside from that, no staff came by to check in nor refill our water. We will definitely returned with our boys in the future to try other dishes. I definitely am interested in the Laos/Cambodian dishes that are on the menu.

Over the phone, I was told the total was $39, which already felt high at about $20 per bowl but I figured maybe there was a misunderstanding. When I got there, I was told the same total again, so I asked for clarification. The menu lists $15 for small and $16 for large, and I'm familiar with places automatically charging the large size for to-go orders, which is fine. But the math still isn't mathing! Even estimating generously: $17 per bowl comes out to $34, plus about 10% tax ($3) brings it to $37. There's also a clearly posted $0.35 to-go container fee, but that still doesn't justify the $39 total. It may only be a small difference, but the lack of transparency didn't sit right with me. Unfortunately, experiences like this make it hard for me to want to return, even for a place I used to enjoy. I won't be coming back.

The noodles come with a side of vegetables including lemon garnish, sliced jalapenos, blanched bean sprouts. I would say the food here is pretty authentic, and great value!
