Thai Dirty Rice
Autumn L.

I love lemongrass so much!!!! Everything is so flavorful. They have a good lunch special, and I would highly recommend the dirty rice. I'm not a huge beef jerky fan, but this meat is so tasty and well seasoned. The portion is a big size too. Definitely enough to share.

Place was packed the seats within 10 minutes. Food was amazing! Succulent flavors and great heat to the spiciness. Definitely will return the next time we're in Davenport!

Gra pow with shrimp

I took no chances and went there as soon as they opened at 4pm, this place is super cute and has a great mural on the wall that's fun to look at, the service was great, the food was fast and fresh. I got the Gra Pow with shrimp, the flavor and the level of spicy was perfect really enjoyed my early dinner!

Thai Dirty Rice

We came here during a volunteer event to get some lunch. It was amazing! The best Thai food in the quad cities. The larb is definitely not served how some of us have had it before but it was still good. The dirty rice and coconut soup was absolutely phenomenal. The interior looks like it's been redone and it's a great place to come and relax.

Ok. Good not great. Service was good as I waited about ten minutes for my takeout. While the ingredients seemed fresh, flavor was average.

Food is consistently good. It can sometimes take a while to get your order. I highly recommend the kimchi fried rice with chicken.

Quaint little restaurant and the decor was solid. We had to wait for almost everything which isn't surprising as they looked to be short-staffed - I hope they staff more than two front house people regularly. My friend and I had drinks, he tried a Thai beer and peach saki, which he enjoyed. I had fountain root beer. We ordered steamed potstickers, which came out too quickly, were just north of warm and the sauce was far too sweet. Underwhelming. They'd be better if they were up to temp and the sauce was more savory and less sweet. The crabmeat Rangoon was crisp on one side and a little soggy on the other, they came out hot but I think they had been sitting for a bit. The sauce was again, far too sweet. It looked like straight honey with red pepper flakes in it. The entrees however, almost made up for the appetizers. Both plates were large and outstanding flavor. He had Racy Pad Thai (shrimp) with level 2 heat (1-5). I had chicken pad Thai (level 3), with a tamarind-based sauce and chopped peanuts on top. Again, both were fantastic. Overall a pleasant experience, I will return.

The restaurant has changed over time but it has gotten more pleasant and enjoyable to sit in and the experience of 'eating it' has been really pleasant. It's well lit and you know that you are in a Vietnamese restaurant. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and I recommend this place to everyone in the Central Illinois area. Yum!

I think the broth was good but could have a bit more depth, but overall still really really good and fresh. The lemongrass chicken over rice was also very good, strong star anise flavor which we all like. The tofu with vermicelli was great, I really liked the tofu. The carrots and daikon are marinated lightly which was really good. Cucumber was shredded so it's easy to eat with the vermicelli. Overall we enjoyed everything. Just wish the place was a bit cleaner, but it's not bad compared to many other places!

You do have to pay for extras like peanuts or baby corn if you want to add them, but I don't mind. The only dish I didn't care for is the chicken teriyaki, the chicken was too thinly sliced for me. The Chinese mustard is not my favorite, but they have packets of the CM I love for take out orders, so I get it there and bring it in for my egg rolls. Love the pad Thai and Kung Pao chicken. The General Tso is good. They have a good variety of specials for lunch and dinner. The crab Rangoon is delicious. The wait staff is always very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is in a strip "mall" and kept up nicely, no outdated decorations I find in so many Chinese restaurants.

Review Visit: October 12th, 2014…read more A fancy version of your typical Chinese restaurant. Asia Grill offers everything you can find at your typical 'hole in the wall' Chinese Restaurant, but more upscale. Now, that is not to slam either this place or any other Chinese place. It was just nice to eat at a more restaurant-style Chinese place than the quick grab-n-go places that are everywhere. The food was pretty good and will run you about $8-11 a person, which is what I consider fair. The service was nice, portions were generous and the restaurant was really nice. Overall, if you want to eat Chinese but don't want the 'take out' variety, hit up Asia Grill. My friends and I really enjoyed it... and so did our bellies!

We started with the Beef Rolls. Fantastic! Tasty, tender, and a great starter. It did take about 30 minutes to get our appetizer, and then another 30+ minutes to get our food delivered. For dinner, I got the Hot and Spicy Beef. It was very good, and had a good kick of spice, but still great flavor. Another in our group got the Ambassador Beef. It was also very good (not spicy), with fresh flavors. The other diner got Vung Tau Cashew Shrimp; also very tasty, with a blast of fresh flavors. While we weren't in a hurry, service was very slow, and we even tracked down the owner to pay our bill at the end of the night and we were about the last ones there. Definitely reccomend the food, but maybe carry out is a better option, or maybe we just hit them on an uneven night for service.
