I had the smoked salmon bagel and fruit salad and my husband had an egg white omelet. The service was awesome and the food was delicious!

I believe this is the first time I've ever been in a restaurant where I had such a poor experience that I decided to write a review in real time. It's a beautiful day today in Vero Beach and I decided to get out of the office for a nice meal while taking care of some emails. I came in to the Lemon Tree which seemed to be a lovely diner. I was shown to a table right away by the hostess then before sitting down I asked the waitress nearby what the wifi password was. I was in the middle of sending an important message on my phone and lost my data signal when I got inside. She told me to use the one from the restaurant next door and their password, immediately followed by asking what I wanted to drink. I said water and was about to ask for coffee but stopped myself and told her I didn't know because I'd never been here and needed a minute to look at the menu. One reason I chose this place is because they serve all-day breakfast. Apparently she perceived this as "snapping" at her and proceeded to essentially punish me for the duration of my stay. Pretty much every way a server could be passive aggressively nasty to a customer she was to me. I don't normally take the behaviors of others personally and tried to be especially pleasant, you never know what other people are going through. I tried to focus on my meal and work which became more difficult to do the longer I was there, especially with the polarity of how great of a server she was to the tables who came in after me, and the increased nastiness she served up to me. Finally after she'd slammed the bill down on my table walking past in the middle of my meal which I didn't respond to, she came over and told me they offered complimentary sorbet as I was literally putting a fork of food to my mouth. At this point I confronted her, pointing to my plate and telling her I'm still eating and asked what her problem with me was, as she'd been rude since the moment I got here. She raised her voice at me and said I had "snapped" at her when she asked what I wanted to drink. There was clearly no point of having a discussion, especially as other people in the restaurant were being disturbed, so I stopped engaging with her, nodded, and turned back to my meal. Now from my perspective today I cannot bring myself to give the Lemon Tree a more favorable review. The food may have been great but I couldn't notice based on the experience. That said, every other server I observed was extremely pleasant and service-oriented, and all of the other tables appeared to be very happy. Even the other tables that my server had were treated great. So why am I bothering to write this review? Because I eat out a lot. At least ten times per week. It's one of the things that brings me joy and I believe life is meant to be filled with joy. I could have just left and gone about my day, but not writing this review would be a disservice to you, to me, to the Lemon Tree, and to my server -- who I sincerely hope will reflect on this experience for growth. And because not doing so would continue to perpetuate the decline of customer service -- which I am passionately invested and involved in -- and it would make my experience today normal and acceptable. While bad behavior has been normalized in our society, it's neither normal nor is it acceptable. Especially for those in the business of customer service. read more

My wife and I were visiting Vero Beach and found the best place for breakfast at Lemon Tree, great food and great service... we had the specials, lobster Benedict and the quiche . We stumbled upon Lemon Tree because it was within walking distance from our hotel and we were craving a hearty and casual breakfast. You cannot miss it- all yellow everything! First of all, there is a real Lemon Tree out front, along with quirky repurposed antiques which serve as a specials O' the day display. There are cute benches and a jug of lemon-infused water out front for patrons while they wait for a seat. The restaurant seems to be a place that is steadily packed, but the service moves quickly. Upon sitting we were brought a small wicker basket of mini banana but muffins. The coffee was served up in terracotta Lemon Tree mugs and our breakfast arrived pretty soon after. The Maine lobster Benedict special of the day included home fries and lemon-ey hollandaise sauce. The hubs opted for his usual favorite- sausage gravy and biscuits. Both were hearty, generous portions and no shortage of flavor. The Lemon Tree is cute and all, but they seriously serve a purpose by donating the majority of their profits to local charitable organizations in Vero Beach (along with breakfast all day). read more

Lemon tree was really good and had a lot of options. I did think that the share fee was weird though because my husband and I like to share plates and I didn't think that you should be able to charge people extra for that other than that it was good. read more

Fun place near the beach. Open for breakfast and lunch only. A little on the pricy side but the food and service was wonderful! Free 2 hour parking right along the road out front. I had the quiche and my wife had the oatmeal. Coffee was amazing! And they leave a large pot at your table to refill. Only negative was a little slow getting your food, and we had some small bugs at our table. But near the beach I guess it comes with the territory. We recommend this place. read more

Two words: Absolutely Amazing. The food is fresh and the staff is very friendly. We ordered the Create your own omelet, biscuits and gravy, and the Crab Cake eggs Benedict. The home fries were perfectly cooked and had the right amount of salt, the bacon was thick and cooked just the right amount. (Not soggy or too crunchy) The biscuits melted in my mouth with the gravy. The best part about this experience were the crab cakes. They were made fresh and I could taste every single seasoning, herb and vegetable they put in it. The celery and onions were cooked just long enough that they still had a crunch. We walked in with no wait on a Tues morning around 9:30 am. Why I hadn't been here before is beyond me! This is in my neck of the woods so I'm definitely going back. While waiting for a table on a busy Saturday around noon we were treated to great live music outside while we waited. Once seated, it looks like a diner inside, our server answered our questions and made suggestions. They are known for their quiche of the day and that's what we all ordered. We also ordered mimosas. We've been here twice! Lemon blueberry pancakes southern eggs Benedict omelet omelet was just soggy vegetables stuffed inside a scrambled egg shell. I know every restaurant makes their omelets different but I guess we prefer our veggies stirred in with the eggs themselves prior to cooking. Toast was also served cold so it was difficult to really butter and enjoy with the meal. Staff has been very friendly both times though! read more

1/10/2021 - 7am My mother lives in Vero and recommend my wife and I have breakfast here. Disappointed! Hostess came across indifferent - Server was Ok but cap/ hoodie / and mask -- odd. Server basics 101 - if you bring a plate of food and 5 minutes later the patron hasn't eaten but 2 bites , THERE's A PROBLEM and you should inquire. My wife is to nice to say something . ( and I've learned not to speak for her) Eggs over cooked. Potatoes WAY over cooked. So she didn't eat any of it. I had the Quiche and hash, it was ok. FYI - I blame all this on Management - lack of training for servers & hostesses on reading and anticipating customer needs. Food - lack of QC - someone should always be looking at the food before it goes out. Servers are the last line of defense and if they don't think it looks right, don't serve it. Teamwork leads to success. Anyone can prepare acceptable food, it's the friendliness of the staff that makes the experience memorable. read more

Our server was the best part of our experience. He was kind and had great attention to detail. Within seconds he already had a coloring book on the table for our little guy. The spot was within perfect walking distance for Costa de Este guests and quaint. The cook time was a little long though. The Mickey pancake was visually a hit but it had been sitting too long. The French toast was delish, I'd have it again and add berries! My husband had a omelet that was a little overcooked and his grits were cold and came without cheese. The server sent us on our way with some yummy muffins, that my kid absolutely loved. We were visiting Vero Beach and noticed this mom and pop, country-esque restaurant while walking along the beach strip. We decided it would be great for brunch so we dropped in! This is a popular locals spot, so expect to wait. We waited about 20 minutes until we were seated in a booth. We were greeted immediately by a very upbeat, kind waitress who was very knowledgable of the menu. She told us the specials and then told us her favorites on the menu, since this was our first time at the Lemon Tree. It was great to see every waitress/waiter, bus-person, and hostess was hustlin' and bustlin' because it was a nice change of pace from South Florida, where many staff are on their phones or gossiping amongst each other! Whoops, sorry about the tangent. Continuing on... I ordered the daily quiche special with a side of fruit, which we saw and heard most other patrons ordering, as well.
