My fiancée and I came here for breakfast on a weekend getaway, and it was the PERFECT way to start our day. We got there at about 11:30 on a Saturday morning and there was about a 20 minute wait - not bad at all. Once seated, we were brought water and the cutest bread basket, blueberry muffins!! My fiancée ordered the chocolate chip pancake big breakfast and I got the same, with lemon blueberry pancakes. These pancakes were DOUSED with berries, and the lemon shone through. The eggs were great and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The atmosphere in this place is SO beachside shabby chic. It's all bright wood, local art, and driftwood pieces. Our server was so sweet and attentive and kept our drinks full for the full meal. Though the restaurant was full, we didn't feel pressured at all to eat quickly and leave. One note for parents - the tables are glass topped and they do not allow clip-on high chairs. Absolutely not a negative, just felt it was important information to share. And a more general note: there's no specific parking for this restaurant. Keep an eye out for street parking and non-permit lots as you're getting closer. It's a very walkable neighborhood. Parking is free on the street if you can find a space. Service was good and even though they were super busy, everything was as expected. I really liked the booths and the decor. The cheese omelets are fabulous and the fresh quiche is also very good. They start you off with two little muffins while you wait for your order. We have visited lemon tree several times. My opinion is the prices and service used to be better. The food is consistent. I would say the food is just OK. Pancakes today were quite tough and difficult to cut. Poached eggs were very runny without the typical structure. Service is OK. So good that we went twice for breakfast!! While the oatmeal bowl is great (I'm an oatmeal fanboy), the acai bowl is phenomenal!! Lots of fruits atop an acai-sort-of-sherbet. We made the mistake on our first visit of getting the acai bowl as a side to split between us. It's so big though!!! It's a meal in itself. The waitstaff was wonderful ... both times. We're been visiting Vero Beach for years and always eyed this place, but since we typically stay at the Disney resort hadn't made it there yet. Well this trip we are at the Kimpton, so since it was a short walk, we gave it a try. Still busy on a Monday morning, but we were able to sit outside with no wait. Chicken sandwich was small for the price but very good. Fries were not good. Cold, over fried. I think they are the cheap frozen version. Honestly fries should be better. Husband had simple bacon and eggs for $18.00. Although he enjoyed it, we found it to be very overpriced. So if value for your money is not a concern try it.
