Stumbled in after our original breakfast spot unexpectedly closed their window, and I'm so glad we did. The greeting was incredibly friendly and welcoming right from the start. The café con leche was exactly what we needed and did not disappoint. The avocado toast was so fresh and a very generous portion. The croissant breakfast sandwich was also delicious. We have been vacationing in the area for 20 years.. today we decided to try cravings. 7 of us walked in and immediately felt as if we were not welcome. Place is very small and doesn't accommodate large groups at all.. so this being our first time, we did our best to move where we thought was the right space for ordering. No one greeted us, no one explained what we were supposed to do, no one was helpful. Finally it was our time to order 4 root beer floats, a sundae, and a brownie sundae, Cookie Monster scoop and a cone. Brownie Sundae was a brownie on the bottom of the bowl with a small scoop of weighed ice cream.. once handed over, we explained we would like hot fudge, and whip cream added.. the young lady rolled her eyes, asking for the brownie sundae back so it can be fixed. Now the reason we went was for the advertisement of their sundae. My husband asked for vanilla ice cream.. "we don't have anymore vanilla ice cream, if you want 4 root beer floats. Ok no biggie, so he orders it with strawberry ice cream instead. She then asks what he would like on it.. he points up at the board and says, "just like the board".. fruit toppings with whip cream and nuts.. "we don't have any of that". He then asks what's Available and she points to tubs of candy that are sitting on top of the ice cream cooler. (All candy) He explains that he doesn't want any of those and will just take the scoop of ice cream. She then hands the bowl to him, which is a half a scoop of strawberry ice cream. (We were charged $8 and some change for this scoop of ice cream). Then come the Cookie Monster scoop on the waffle cone... (we are still waiting on the 4 root beer floats, being made by someone else). Huge waffle cone.. 1 small scoop of ice cream. You couldn't even see on above the cone line. FINALLY THE ROOT BEER FLOATS.. Ice cream.. all foam! She brought us 4 extra small glasses of root beer to fill our own glasses because "she was unable to fill them due to the foam"! $71 plus for this experience! Never again! read more

TLDR- Rude and not the most accommodating about allergies. My family member said that she had a dairy allergy when she went to order and asked what dairy-free items they had. They had to get someone else from the kitchen to help her, pulled her from line to look at some items farther down in a display fridge, then left her to take more orders from people behind us without asking for the rest of her order. By the time I had finished ordering for myself, they had taken several other orders and I had to intervene to get them to take her order. She gave them her card to pay (register behind counter), got it back, then we go outside to wait a minute later the workers comes out and rudely tells her she didn't pay. She was also very rude to some other customers while we were waiting. The food was good, but almost $40 for 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches. Will not be going back. read more

A great (across the street from ocean) beach cafe with a large menu! It boasts indoor and outdoor seating with counter service for all orders however they provide table delivery and clean up...stopped for breakfast and ordered a croissant with fried egg, cheese and bacon -it was so fresh and perfect! I ordered a mocha latte and it did not disappoint! Nothing fancy but all you need for a beachside snack or meal...has fresh baked goods and large ice cream selection..pricey but isn't everything today-definitely worth the money spent! read more

People don't need to dine in here to have an experience. I was making a delivery to this establishment and upon walking in I was greeted by an employee with a very negative attitude, replying to me with sarcasm. If this review were just about him, it would be glowing with five stars and heart emojis. BUT. While he was making my smoothies, another associate (aka Mr. Attitude) asked if I needed help. I kindly told him that someone was already helping me but I'd like to order something else. Instead of just taking the order like a normal functioning adult, he cut me off and snapped, "Just order with him," in the rudest, most dismissive tone. Then he proceeded to ignore me like I was a potted plant. I wasn't being demanding. I wasn't being difficult. I was literally trying to give them more money. But apparently, kindness and basic customer service were not on his menu that day. So yeah, smoothies? Good. Original guy? Amazing. Random rude associate? I fell hard for the mixed berry smoothie with almond butter and protein. I recommend less yogurt for a better taste. Had a 2 for 1 coupon so tried their tuna sandwich on toasted French baguette with choice of toppings and also got the salad & fruit plate with chicken salad and raspberry dressing. Both items were delicious and the salad was beautiful. You have to go in to order and when it is busy, it takes a while to order & get your food but the weather was nice and we weren't in a hurry so we sat outside and enjoyed people watching until our food came. Inside it only has seating for about six, but has a large spacious enough outside patio with seating. It's a counter-order place with no real table service except to bring out the food. It's also an ice cream shop that tends to be swarming with loud toddler kids, all of which can really get to be annoying. I had their ham and cheese sandwich on a dark bread that was very good. I love the food here! They have a huge menu of sandwhich and a good selection on the kids meals. I love the ice cream here too as well as my granddaughter. I have been bringing my family here for two years and making it a tradition. BUT, with that being said, i don't expect to be "barked" at while looking at the paper menu for my selection, with ordering for 5 people. This is the first time that has ever happened so hopefully it is the only time and just a fluke. I get it, it happens. It is a confined shop inside, and can be confusing when packed with a number of people.
