I'm highly disappointed with this place. Came here with my girlfriend for the 90 minutes promo they had thinking it was going to be $40 line all their flyers and the sign on their front desk said. The massage itself was mediocre at best and the lady had my boxers pulled halfway down my butt and the door open, terribly unprofessional. When we to pay we give them $50 each. $40 for the massage and $10 for tip. The man tells me that the $40 is for something else as each massage was $50. So I give him an additional $20 for our tip, and at that point he turns around a sign that said a minimum tip would be $30. At this point I'm not even trying to argue because I have a flight to catch and I just fork over the cash. AVOID THIS PLACE LINE THE PLAGUE!!!!

Always a pleasure and from the moment you walk in; its very relaxing. As far as the massage: I've been here enough times to say it depends on the masseuse. They're all good but have different techniques. *Tip - Advise the masseuse ( beforehand ) of any preferred target area.

False advertising. The 90 minute massage was actually $65.

I would not recommend this place even for someone trying to save money. I saw advertisements (as shown) saying 90 minutes for $40 instead of $50. I assumed it meant 90 minutes for a Massage. They were accommodating and flexible; they fit us in same day plus I changed our massage time 3x that Wednesday afternoon & they were fine with it. My deep tissue full body massage was alright. The music playing overhead repeated fur elise on the piano which got annoying to hear for 90 minutes straight. Halfway through the massage the masseuse left me in the room with the door open to talk to someone which I also found annoying. In the final 5 minutes, my face was worked on which felt like it was being stretched into funny faces. I've never had this done in a deep tissue massage before. When it came time to pay, my boyfriend and I gave $40 plus a $10 tip each. As we turned to leave, the masseuse asked us for tip money and said that we only paid the amount for the massage. We pointed to the $40 promotional offer and stated that we did in fact tip. We were told that the promo somehow didn't apply for us; his reason was lost in his broken English. He flipped the promotional sign which on the back had Chinese words and "30 - $5, 60 - $10" & then stated that for 90 minutes we should pay $15 each. Confused and annoyed my boyfriend forked over the extra demanded cash. Instead of leaving the massage relaxed, we left irritated. The false advertising had us fooled.

WooooSahhhhh!!!!! I really didnt want to write a review for this place, simply because I wanted to keep it ALL to myself. But..here ya go. For a long time me and a few coworkers have been saying that at the end of the school year we would treat ourselves to a relaxing day at the spa. After searching websites like groupon, living social, lifebooker, and the spa week website (because it was spa week duh ), we gave up and turned to good ole yelp for help. The reviews were limited and not quite recent but after several phone calls (and also noticing that this spa was on groupon) we decided to give it a shot. Fast forward to the big day of our appointment and skipping all the details of the phone conversations...this place is wayyyy in college point. Its actually located in a new hotel in college point, but there is a shuttle bus offered by the hotel that takes you to and from mainstreet. We didnt know about this until we took the q25 and noticed it in the parking lot area of the hotel. Ok, so we were directed to make an appointment in advance for our large group to ensure that there would be enough staff available the day of the appointment. Now I didnt know what to expect at all as I entered but was really surprised. Very very very clean, dim lighting, clean, smelled great, clean, great decor, clean, friendly staff, great service, nice bathroom, oh and clean! I guarantee that you will feel like a brand new person after you leave this place. I felt like puddy....mushy gooey puddy. I was on a different kinda high (no drug needed). I decided to go with the deep tissue massage (even though the hot stone was included we ran out of time... *insert sad face*) but she got every kink and knot out of me. Ahhhhhh ( what a long review). To sum it all up you better head here for a great, reasonably priced massage. Service and experience will blow you away.......actually don't go here because I still want to keep it to myself ;)...just kidding. P.S. 1. I recommend KiKi :) 2. CALL BEFORE YOU BUY THE GROUPON.... you might not need it in order to get the same price for the service. 3. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. DO NOT JUST WALK IN.

The facility seems nice but the staff is all over the place. After waiting 1.5 hour in the lobby room, they told us to go to the rooms which were not yet cleaned! We told them that they were used and they took another 30 min to clean and set up. Then when we laid in the room, we waited for another 30 min for a total of 2.5 hours. We had a dinner reservation for mother's Day and had to push it twice to fit this booking in. The worst part is we got zero apologies and when I complained the representative told me to stop asking and go back in the room. They didn't seem to care about our bad experience being so delayed in the least. Totally appaling experience.

They provide a bathrobe, a hand towel, and slippers. No outside flip flops allowed. When you are ready to shower, you can ask for larger shower towels. - Large, spacious, and clean facility with Greek-esque blue and white architectural details. We enjoyed the open layout with the different heated pools, the vast array of strong jets, and the hot tubs. All the jet buttons worked, and the jets turned on right away. We loved the large Himalayan Salt sauna, which was also the hottest. Overall it wasn't crowded at all! - My daughter loved the outdoor pool with the overhead waterfall, the indoor pool right by the bar, the playhouses in the relaxation area, and the kids' playroom. - The hydrotherapy pools, cold baths, and steam room in the changing areas/locker rooms were clean and well-maintained. - The Korean food is delicious! The Korean Beef Stew was some of the best we've had in a while. - Kids allowed (all ages accepted!), and my daughter had a blast! Cons: - Some of the rooms, such as the relaxation room at the top, could use an upgrade. - The co-ed outdoor dry sauna needs to be much hotter. Wish they had a co-ed steamroom like at AIRE Ancient Baths. - Some of the shower heads in the sitting shower area were weak and needed fixing. - The foosball table for kids was missing the ball, and needed extras around. - $13 ramen was the 85-cent Paldo Gomtang Korean Beef Flavored Instant Noodle Soup you can get at H-Mart. Note: - Take advantage of the 30% off admission special offers on https://shop.nyspacastle.com/newyork/index.php. $59.50 for adults M-T and $77 for adults F-Sunday. You cannot redeem and use it within 24 hours! "Any earlier attempt to redeem is invalid. If you plan to visit the facility within 24 hours, please make your purchase in-store." So much fun, can't wait to come back with a large group!

Last Wednesday, we visited from around 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM (they close at 9:30 PM), so we were mindful not to rush them or their closing shift. Overall, the spa experience itself was good. The facilities were fine, and the food was absolutely chef's kiss as always -- that part never disappoints. I also understand that prices have gone up, and while Spa Castle is now priced similarly to SoJo Spa, I didn't mind paying more since everything else in life has also gone up. However, the experience was completely ruined at the very end. When we were about to leave, we realized there were no hair dryers at all -- not even one. Yes, you read that right: a spa with NO hair dryers. I asked the three ladies at the front desk if there were any hair dryers available, and they told me, "We don't have any. Customers steal them." I was shocked. That is not the customer's responsibility -- it's the spa's responsibility to manage and replace basic amenities. A hair dryer is a basic service at any spa, especially in winter, when it's cold outside and people cannot walk out with wet hair. When we went to check out, a male and a female staff member were at the counter. The man asked how our experience was, and I honestly said everything was fine except for the fact that there were no hair dryers, which was very disappointing. He looked at the female staff member, and she said, "We do have one hair dryer. Did you ask them?" I told her yes -- we asked twice, and three employees told us there were none. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, her tone was rude and dismissive. There was no effort to resolve the issue or even acknowledge how uncomfortable and unfair that situation was. No spa should send guests out into the cold with wet hair after they paid full price for the experience. Sadly, the lack of basic amenities and the unprofessional attitude at the front desk completely ruined what could have been a great visit. I was very disappointed, especially as someone who has supported Spa Castle for years. At this point, I would rather go to King Spa or SoJo Spa, where customer service and basic spa standards are taken seriously. Very upsetting experience, and sadly, I don't think I'll be returning.

When I was trying to see if it was possible to make an appointment on the same day, the receptionist said I can just pay at the spa, instead of getting a Groupon deal (probably because Groupon takes out some portion as commission). I was really hesitant because I've paid the spa directly before and when the service was terrible, I couldn't get Groupon customer service protection. Since this spa allowed me to split 3 facial package with my husband, I agreed to pay the spa directly. We were 10 minutes late because there just wasn't any parking available around Main Street, but the receptionist was very understanding and said don't worry about being late. Once we got there, we were in a couple room and got changed and got started right away. I had Tina and my husband had Zoe - they were both professional and extraction and décolletage massage was nice. They didn't push us to upgrade the service and my husband and I were so comfortable that we both fell asleep and snored. I definitely had a better product and techniques before and I would rate this place more like 4.5 stars, but since the customer service was great, I'm leaving 5 stars. *Tip: pay in cash because if you use your credit card, tax will be charged.

I came on a groupon, in my search to find my new regular spot, but honestly was rather disappointed. The products used are ok - Keve and Collin - some generic spa stuff (did not see any commercial stuff like Vaseline or other drug store brands, as you might at some other cheap spas). My facial was actually somewhat torturous -- the facial massage is just so rough and not at all relaxing or rejuvenating. I felt like the facialist was trying to force moisture back into my poor dry skin. The extractions were fine, on the properly aggressive side. I HATE that they use razor to do eyebrows - no reason not to pluck, esp as I wasn't that overgrown! I would not return, though packages run from as low as about $35 per facial in a package of 10.
