WOW! i purchased my 04 infiniti G35 coupe 6mt sports edition sight unseen online from a private seller in connecticut (i live in Maryland). i was very worried about the whole deal and was leaning more towards NOT purchasing an out of state vehicle. Then i discovered lemon squad and figured a certified mechanic going to look it over AND TEST DRIVE the car would be WAY better than me looking at it (since i'm not a mechanic).so i ordered the inspection online and it was done with in 48hrs and i could not believe ALL the info i got for a little over a hundred bucks! SO WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!! the same day the inspection was done i received 110 detailed clear hi def photos!!! inside outside engine tires underneath trunk owners manual title registration vin plate any and all scratches blemishes etc... they did an obd test a tire tread test and even a paint test. and then a very detailed report on the test drive. I was so Impressed with both the inspection and the car that i then felt completely comfortable purchasing the vehicle on line that evening and then flying up and driving my new BEAUTIFUL baby home and it was as amazing and nearly flawless as the inspector had reported. I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking to buy a used car. ESPECIALLY if the car is in another state:) kelly Baltimore md read more

I just purchased a 2010 Porsche 911 (July 30, 2016) from a dealership in Miami FL and I am located in MA. As one could imagine, I was extremely nervous about buying a car I personally have never seen. I looked around, interviewed and researched 4 other inspectors in the Miami area. I felt most comfortable with the Lemon squad team. Still nervous with such a large purchase, I was getting ready to book a flight to Miami to see the car for myself. But after receiving my inspection report form the Lemon Squad, a trip to Miami would have been a waste of money. The report I received was well above anything I could have expected. My inspector had a paint meter, code reader, AC meter, etc. The report was very detailed and came with 99 photos calling out the littlest imperfections on the car. I had made prior arrangements with the dealer to have a lift available, so I also received detailed photos from underneath of the car as well. Great report! I would highly recommend the Lemon Squad to anyone looking to buy a car out of state. Thank you Lemon Squad! read more

I was searching for a somewhat rare RV and the ones I found were scattered across the US. After speaking to the sellers personally I arranged the pre-purchase inspection via Lemon Squad. When I spoke to the seller, the RV was in near perfect condition. Lemond squad arranged the pre-purchase inspection, and I received back a very thorough report, including many pictures. To my surprise, the RV had multiple very serious (and expensive) issues. I was shocked! Lemon squad saved me so much time, money and mistake! I used their service a second time with another RV, and Lemond Squad saved me again. Finally with the third, I spoke to Lemond Squad manager Andy personally, and he was so helpful and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find an RV worth purchasing. We arranged the 3rd inspection and I was able to purchase the RV without worry. Thank you Lemon Squad for helping me make better decisions, and also for looking out for the buyer, especially those of us not mechanically inclined! read more

I was considering making an out-of-state car purchase and did not have the time to drive down and take the car to a mechanic for inspection before purchase. Lemon Squad was my answer. There was some concern about the service with other negative reviews, but they were ultimately unfounded. Nearly all were from people who expected more than what was offered/advertised. I knew the limitations - these are mobile mechanics and do not have access to the equipment a shop would have. My gamble paid off immensely when I received the report. Along with over a hundred pictures (much higher quality than those the dealer provided) the mechanic found a number of undisclosed cosmetic and mechanical issues. The dealer had completely misrepresented the condition of the vehicle (big surprise there). This car was in such poor condition that he offered to refund one of the addon services I had requested. As soon as I received my report, I immediately went online to submit an order for the next car on my list. read more

This is my second review in as many weeks. Two different cars. 2nd time around I'm more pleased than the 1st!! Both inspections were done the day after I ordered them. How do you get better service than that? I'm in Connecticut the car is in North Carolina. The dealer has big beautiful pictures but none detailed or up close so I could see any imperfections. The inspector detailed in writing and photos exactly what and where he found issues. The pictures were clear and even had descriptions where necessary. There were quite a few of the underside which really helped me see things that may not matter to others. He detailed noises and sensations he experienced on the test drive. He also took pictures of the problem areas he found after the test drive. For those of you with negative reviews....the inspector is limited by what he can see, hear and feel in the hour he spends looking at the vehicle. So... if you desire more.... take the car to a mechanic YOURSELF!! read more

I was 7 hours away from my dream car and felt more comfortable having someone independent look at the car before I made the trip. I made an appointment in the afternoon and they did the inspection the next morning. I asked them to hurry the results if they could because I wanted to go get the car the next day. The salesman said the inspector gave it an A and found a couple things. The report was ready that afternoon and did not agree with the salesman. The tires needed replacing ASAP and there was oil on the bottom of the engine. They also pointed out dings and scratches that were not visible on the dealer's photos. Just too many things that made me feel uncomfortable about the car and making the trip. I decided to back out of the deal and start fresh. I'm glad I used Lemon Squad and the $149 was probably what I would have spent to drive there and back (not to mention vacation days for my wife and me). Now I know who I can use the next time. Thanks! read more

0. I contracted with the other inspection company but they informed me the next day that they needed additional $50 on top of $2xx.00 so I canceled. 1. The name Lemon Squad is clever 2. I called on NYE and got a busy but 2 minutes later got a call back. 3. Andy informed me that they were officially closed for the holiday but he would be glad to take my order and assign a tech for inspection on day after NY. 4. After getting a notice that inspection would have to be postponed for 2 days, I got on chat. While on chat I got a phone call from Andy. 5. Andy rescheduled me for the original scheduled date. 6. My inspection was done on time, on cost and on quality. 7. The report was very detailed and I like the fact that an ODBII diagnostic reading was performed. I highly recommend Andy and the Lemon Squad and they have earned my repeat business. Thanks also to the Auto Inspector "Joe": Good Job. Well Done Andy and "Lemon Squad" Ken Lexus RX-350 read more

I had a inspection done on 8-30-2017 . That inspection was awesom.I was told by the seller that the car was flawless. mint cond. throughout.I was looking for (A) rating .The inspector check the all the right spots.Told me in his report that the car was just a nice car not the flawless mint cond car that the owner said. He gave the car B- rating. The inspector even had the gauge that checks the car for previous body work. The owner said car had all orig. paint .That was true. Many great pictures were taken also.I would have been piss off having the car shipped to NY and getting a just nice car when i was paying a premium price for a flawless mint cond. throughout car.I did not buy the car.The money for the inspection was well worth it. I back on E-BAY and ves lemon squad will be checking that car also. Thanks again lemon squad and the inspector that took his job serious and saved me from a huge disappointment. my first time buying a car out of state. i wanted to buy a mercedes s600, which is a complexly engineered car to inspect. i live in california and the car was in ohio. did a google search and read the reviews of car inspector services. i was weary in the beginning, but i found at lemon squad the service and process to be very professional and smooth and on time as promised. the report was ready next day on a saturday. very detailed report with a lot of pictures and addressed some special concerns i requested. car needed about $2500 in repairs. used it to negotiate the price down. i had a great experience with lemon squad and would definitely use them again. when i see a yelp rating of 5, i think it may not be a genuine customer or they were paid to rate it high. but i actually had a great experience throughout the whole process. great service for the price and peace of mind ! read more

Lemon Squad is my go to for any car purchase in my household! Most recently had them inspect an 08 Mercury Mariner Hybrid and let me tell you... THAT CAR IS A LEMON! The dealer called me and was angry with the inspector saying the inspector did not know what he was doing nor did he know the car was a hybrid. I had not seen the report just yet as it was still in the process of generation. So I emailed LemonSquad with my concerns and issues with the dealer. Alan called my within an hour to tell me he was working on my report. He proceeded to tell me how the car broke down on the inspector and explained some of the other "red flags" found during the inspection. Unfortunately, this dealer is a BAD dealer who is trying to poorly mask lemon cars as great buys. Thanks to Lemon Squad I am not stuck in a car that is a piece of SH**! Thanks for all your help LEMON SQUAD!!!!! read more

Inspector did an amazing job. Truly went through the entire vehicle and took pictures/commented on every single (and I mean every single - 338 photos) issue with the vehicle in question. Worth every penny to me as time is valuable. Saved me a 16 hour round trip of disappointment. I will be using this service again and again for any purchase, even if local. They checked for things I wouldn't have even thought of and all of the areas I would as well. I'll admit I was hesitant to use an internet based inspection service and would have been happy to get something like what the "sample" report shows. But they went above and beyond. Now to start my search all over again and set up another inspection with Lemon Squad to help remove my blinders when looking at vehicles online. 10/5 stars for sure!!! read more

I order an inspection from lemonsquad.com on a car I was interested in 200 miles away from home. The pictures on the dealers website were excellant. Said the car had no accidents and was in great shape. When I got the report from lemon squad there were all kind of issues and they rated the car value D and wouldn't recomond buying it!! They sent me some 80 photos of what the care really looked like and the damage. I really don't think they could have done a better job for $150! 80 photos is a lot. of pictures and showed me what I was really buying not like this dealer showing pictures that they only wanted people to see. I am now looking at a car closer to home and will have lemonsquad inspect this one too. I couldn't be more pleased with their survice.....From Wisconsin read more

I used LemonSquad to inspect a car that looked beautiful on the website, but it was four hours away and none of the pictures showed the car in natural light. The car had low miles and the salesman was feeding me a lot of BS, saying the body and interior were in perfect shape. LemonSquad found the truth! They sent 64 pictures- most were shocking. The key fob was taped together. The paint was chipped. There were 5 codes on the computer. There was noise from the exhaust, oil on the bottom of the drip pan, safety latches broken from the targa top... This car was very misrepresented and the money I gave Lemon Squad saved me time and aggravation. I'm so glad that I didn't buy a plane ticket to go buy that piece of junk. Lemon Squad worked perfectly for this case! read more

I ordered my inspection late on a Friday (April, 2019) and it would have been done the next day if the owner hadn't needed to be at a wedding. The inspection was done the next day (yes, on Sunday!) and I had the finished report with detailed pictures before noon on Monday. It doesn't get much better than that! This inspection saved me from making a $27,000 mistake on buying a '72 Chevelle near Atlanta, GA. I live in northern CO., so I needed Lemon Squad's expert eyes on the car and they did a fantastic job. The pictures were clear and plentiful and so was the written report. I have nothing but good to say about Lemon Squad and highly recommend them to anyone. It was money well spent and I won't hesitate to use them again should the need arise! read more

LemonSquad!! I am a fan for life. What a fantastic idea and service to use when buying a car "online." My inspection was ordered on a Wednesday, the vehicle was inspected Friday, and the report was delivered Saturday. Exceptional service, and the phone call option I purchased to get a personal review of the report was outstanding. The report was thorough with an album of pictures almost like a virtual tour of the vehicle. Having LemondSquad there to test drive fulfills a serious need when purchasing online from across the country. LemonSquad is decision support for consumers; the report gave me tremendous peace of mind, knowing all due diligence was done before making my decision. I purchased a 2006 Toyota Solara and I paid $139 for the Lemon Squad service it was so worth it. My car was involved in a rear end accident and details of all damage was given. Plenty of picture, interior specific details, exterior specie details given thoroughly and well above my expectations. I am so thankful for the report that I can share with potential buyers as a sales woman of cars. I am so thankful that I found Lemon Squad I would recommend any that wants to avoid buying a "lemon" should pay the $139 its well worth it. I am looking to buy a 2015 Camaro convertible that is 2000 miles from my home and I used Lemon Squad to assist me in determining the wisdom of such a purchase. I received a call from them as soon as the inspection was complete as well as many detailed and closeup photos. The conversation was detailed and exceedingly useful as were the photos. The dealer photos did not show the poorly aligned body panels or poor paint job, evidence of an accident. The OBD was used and although nothing showed, it raised suspicion of recently erased items. The grade, a D+, was illuminating on a nearly new car. Still deciding about the purchase but I enter negotiations w my eyes wide open. Thanks Lemon Squad read more

I was skeptical using this service after finding on the internet but how impressed I am with the outcome. I was considering a car purchase from a long distance and wanted some assurance other than my conversation with the dealer so I hired lemon squad. The inspector did a thorough inspection, provided excellent pictures pointing out what was right and wrong, and an honest overall assessment. I'm glad I had a prepurchase inspection as the car had issues that weren't disclosed or readily noticed in the dealer pictures. Lemon Squad saved me from making a disappointing purchase and I will definitely use this service again when looking at another long distance purchase! read more
