Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Lemon House. We hired this company to complete a deep cleaning of our bathrooms and kitchen as well as a standard cleaning on the rest of our apartment. From a communication perspective, I had to wait 4 days to receive a confirmation email and it was wrong (no mention of deep cleaning, wrong # of bedrooms and bathrooms, no price quote). After following up, they corrected what needed to be corrected, but NEVER communicated this to our cleaning professional. From a cleaning perspective, I'll start out by saying that our cleaner had no clue what he was actually sent to our apartment to do and I'm attributing that to the booking team. He was an extremely nice and respectful guy. However, he showed up almost 2 hours late, nothing we actually needed done was completed, and the work he did do was sub-par. Without going into immense detail...he mopped without sweeping or vacuuming...who does that? That should tell you right there what the rest of the cleaning was like. I would give 1 star, but they did the right thing and knocked the price down to a reasonable level. I will be looking elsewhere for cleaning services in our area. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Lemon House. I have searched many different companies and previously tried two. I was not 100% with the others since I always had to clean something after they left! Lemon House was very affordable and cleaned immaculately. Angela was the only cleaner assigned but cleaned my home as if she was a team of 6! I have a 3 story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 1 basement, and one kitchen. Each room was cleaned thoroughly, including the windows, and the refrigerator! I will be using Lemon House each time I need a thorough house cleaning. I will be requesting Angela each time! I booked online and used a promotion code and ended up getting a great deal. Once I got a confirmation for my booking, they even emailed me a picture of who was going to come so there were no surprises. Once the cleaning job was complete, they followed up with me for feedback since they are a newer company. I usually try to give constructive criticism but in this instance I had nothing but praise and good reviews. I just had my first cleaning with Lemon House and I am very satisfied. The whole thing was easy from booking online, to confirmation, to the service itself. Jane was on time, warm, friendly, professional and did a fantastic job. We have the typical NY apartment- lots of books and things, not a lot of stuff and everything was cleaned well and thoroughly in a fairly quick amount of time. I had a very good experience with Lemon House. My originally scheduled clean had to be rescheduled because the cleaner fell ill, but the Lemon House management team quickly helped me reschedule for just 2 days later. The cleaner who came, Laula, did a great and thorough job and asked me at the start if there were any specifics for what I wanted to be done. She went a few minutes over the allotted time to ensure all the rooms were properly cleaned. For those new to cleaning services, I recommend coming up with a list ahead of time! Lemon house is a great service. I had several cleanings through the service and always had a great experience.

When you have someone come in to clean you expect them to bring their own tools or at least clean without you having to tell them to do this this and this. From what I know what deep cleaning is, this was not that. One instance where the lady was telling me and my mom that she cannot clean the cabinets because they have grease spots which made them sticky. My mom cleaned one of them and the grease was gone and not sticky at all. I checked the cabinet the next day and it was clean. So I am not sure why she did not want to clean it but I after that I thought this was a very unprofessional behavior. The other person did not know what they were going to do because they were not informed on the services needed, therefore did not have much with him. This was my first time using a cleaning company and I do not recommend them at all. Very disappointed and felt like a waste of money. read more

Showed up on time and ready to work. The first red flag was that our confirmation email stated that 2 people would be coming; only one person came. The cleaning wasn't thorough, as the sink and windows weren't done. Much of the apartment was recently renovated and has new appliances, so those items didn't need much. Streaks left all over the floors; these floors were just refinished and didn't need much, but will now have to be mopped again prior to a tenant moving in. We were moving out of our house and needed it to be cleaned. David and company did a fantastic job. I especially loved the bathroom and refrigerator as they need the most care. Everything smells clean and fresh. They are very responsive and quick to take action to make sure you are taken care of. He originally quoted me for 1 person but sent two to cut the time in half. There was a misunderstanding on what was to be included in the job and David took care of it with no hesitation. I booked Lemon House recently for a move-in cleaning. The guys did a great job cleaning out my apartment despite annoying working conditions. I had other contractors going in and out while they were cleaning the floor, and the plumber even shut off the water for a time. Despite all that, Lemon House left the place spotless.
