I am so incredibly pleased with the service I received today. Dumisile was very responsive when I requested a quote on yelp and had excellent communication in setting up my appointment. Though I consider myself to be pretty clean to begin with, I travel a lot for work and my apartment felt like it had just been collecting dust in my absence. I explained that wanted everything wiped down and she was super conscious about dusting every nook and cranny (i have lots of little knick knacks around my apartment). She went above and beyond what I requested and her attention to detail was unparalleled. I ran out to do a few errands and when I came back I could smell and feel how squeaky clean my place is! I booked an appointment with them for a cleaning for my apartment. At first, they said they can give me a Thursday time but later because they thought the job was too small (2 hours for $60) that they want to hold off until the weekend. We booked a 1-1:30PM time for Saturday and exchanged information. On Saturday, I waited for the cleaner until 2:55PM when they are still a no show. I messaged them through text, call and Yelp and every time they said the cleaner is almost here. Finally I decided to cancel the appt as it is taking way too long when we have plans scheduled around the time they gave us. Judy came to clean my 3 bedroom/1 bath kitchen/living room apartment in Brooklyn. She deep cleaned the kitchen, living and bathroom and lightly cleaned our bedrooms. Overall I think she did a great/good (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). The only thing I wish I had communicated was for her to scrub down the shower walls. Other than that, we were very happy with the clean. Great value for what we paid for. Even though our apartment was small, a deep clean takes time and was tedious. We've tried two other NYC based cleaning services in the past and just weren't happy with the results. I contacted Sparkle Home Services and spoke directly with Dumi, she scheduled with me quickly (got me a weekend appointment no less) and provided an accurate and fair quote. We couldn't be happier with the cleaning. We have two pugs and it's challenging to keep up with their shedding, Dumi and Ana had the place spotless. She brought some of her own supplies and we discussed other things I could get to make the cleaning more efficient in the future (had discussed setting up biweekly appointments if we were happy). The apartment looks amazing, Dumi and her staff are detail oriented and think of every last little thing. This cleaning is bounds better than any past services! Our home has never been this clean, our doors and cabinets were wiped down, floors cleaned multiple ways (mop, rag, swiffer) to ensure all dust was up, she moved all of our knick knacks and such to clean etc. And it smells great! We will definitely be setting up biweekly cleanings. PS they were super nice to our dogs which is always a nice plus. read more

This is the best cleaning service I've ever had. I'd used another, wizardly, cleaning service before but Dumi and Anna blew them out of the water. I thought i was living pretty clean, but I'm in total awe of what clean actually looks and feels like. They got rid of the pet smell in our apartment and were super friendly with our dogs. Dumi and Anna were so polite and courteous and trustworthy and nice in general and I'd be comfortable giving them keys to my place because they're so professional and do such a great job. I'm not a trusting person, sometimes I keep the chain bolted when my pizza comes and make them turn the pizza box sideways to get to me even though it messes up my toppings, but I'd do it for this company Bottom line: they're great. read more

They not only cleaned every nook and cranny of our apartment (including the cabinets, fridge, and stove), but they also went ahead and organized the area under the sink AND our front entrance area for us, which has often been a place of neglect -- we were not expecting that, and it was very awesome that they did it. We had had the same housekeeper for over 5 years. In the beginning she was great, but eventually, she seemed to stop caring about the results. So, I began to look around. After the first woman I found, who didn't even wipe crumbs off counter (and charged 3 hours for 2 hours work) I hoped the next person wouldn't be a disaster. SO, I texted Sparkle (Dumisile Kheswa) and she set us up with Kathy. That day, we were texted in advance that Kathy was running 30 minutes late and we appreciated the heads up. Kathy was awesome. We generally discussed the scope of the work, and she told me it could be longer than the original estimated hours and that was fine with me, i wanted to see her initiative on what to clean. I told her she could decide what she wanted to do. (I hoped to be impressed by her doing the extras, and she did) I said to take as long as she needed and she was conscientious about working the whole time and still being super sweet with my son (who took to her). The place is cleaner than it has ever been. Our year old kitchen had a lot of dirt I had never even discovered. Cathy took the burners apart (not just off, but apart!). She cleaned the front of the cabinets (there was some residue but I think I should have given her a different towel for that). She managed to get the "duvet cover from hell" on to the duvet in record time. She realized that I'd want the pillow cases that matched and that tells me she is thinking about her results. She did all of the areas we had discussed. We are going to use Sparkle again and hopefully, if the work stays awesome, we will have found a long-term arrangement.
