07/24/21 - Saturday we had a little time to kill before a meeting in Rolling Ghetto so we stopped in to peruse the LEGO store in Streets of Woodfield. It's kind of a cold place to go and see the creativity of the different things you can build using LEGO parts. At the entry there is the head, next and partial torso of a giraffe hanging over the entry made of LEGO pieces. Inside the store is the back you can buy an admission to an area where there are fully built LEGO creations to view. The front part is a store a retail area where they have a number of kits/models that you can buy & build. Not just a store! This is LegoLand! We purchased tix online for a discount and arrived a little early. We went about 11:30a and it was not crowded. Definitely enjoyed our time. Be sure to take your time! The place isn't huge, but has a lot to see. It's 2 floors and has a small Cafe with food and drinks. It's limited, but will tide you over. We did all the rides. My least favorite was the 4D movie because of the water spritz, but aside from that, it was fun. A little warning on the water would have went a long way. read more

Ridiculous low ball for used Lego. I had over $1200 conservatively in sets and figs. They offered me $200 after saying over the phone they would offer a fair price. When asked to explain this in store, no response from manager. Would not recommend at all. read more

My brother cried so much because his toys got bitten by our dog. He left it outside our house and because every night  we released our dog in a cage it bit the toys. To stop crying and he is no longer sad I promised him to buy him a new toy. So I went to this place because some of my friends said that it has different kinds of lego toys that I can buy. As I enter, some of momies are here to buy their son a toy. I bought him a car lego, truck lego and a robot lego. The price was a bit expensive because of its good quality. I think it's durable. When I give it to my brother he looks excited and happy. He also promised me that he will take care of it and store it after it is used. I will be back here if his birthday is near. I wish we had these when I was a kid because I didn't want to leave! The price ranges are great because they range from "Sure kid, I'll get that for you" to "Are you crazy? Put that back right now!" They have these little stations where kids can custom build three lego men (or women) for $9. There are friendly people to help guide your salivating kid to the best fit for them. It was not my intention to buy something from the store but it looks nice outside so I decided to check it out. It looks cool inside. Everything is well organized making it look neat even if the whole place is clean. There is a lot of boxes of lego bricks toys that are available. There is a lot of choices and designs. I used to play it when I was younger but now I am more interested in online games rather than this things but it is really great for kids. Prices are quite expensive. This can be something that a parent can buy for their kids who loves to play this even if it expensive just to make them happy. It is a great and cool store. read more

Not as big as the one in Water Tower Place but still has a nice assortment of sets and the fill a cup of legos which I think is a good way to gather allot of small pieces for a responsible price. The staff here like Water Tower Place go above and beyound to make you feel welcome and appreciated. My son forgot his stuffed bear and a book there and they put him hind the counter for us and told my son that the bear just wasn't done playing. Lol read more

The Lego people building center is waaaaay cleaner and more organized than the Legoland outside the mall. I rather come into the mall to go here any day over Legoland. Recently I have been frequenting the Lego store. Why do you ask?? My almost 31 year old boyfriend is obsessed with the Star War series. But can't be from the new movies...only the old school stuff is acceptable ((yes, I'm embarrassed)). Every time I walk into the Lego store I feel a sense of embarrassment ((due to my age and purpose there)), but an even bigger sense of nostalgia. Come on, who didn't play with Legos as a kid??!! This place is the mecca for Lego lovers out there. They carry all the different themes and series. My favorite part is making the little Lego men. The bins of heads, legs, torsos and hair 'dos ((yikes...that sounds fairly morbid))...I could sit and play dress-up with those for hours. The customer service is over the top. Knowing that the employees most likely go home at night and secretly place with their Lego sets, always makes me feel better when explaining that I'm shopping for a 31-year old grown man. And let me tell ya, If they don't have it, they will hunt it down and ship it to you. I anticipate I'll be back in the near future. He has his eye on the Star Wars Death Star - and I hear about it on a regular basis. And I will admit, I might find a little bit of happiness and joy dumping out all the pieces with him and putting these creations together. Who knows...maybe I'm secretly an addict too. Their prices can vary from very reasonable to expensive. It depends what you want. My son loves this place and I like it as well because there is always something you can grab home and make him happy. The only reason I am not giving this store 5 stars is because it was so hot in the store I thought I was going to lose my mind. You walk in and it is just as busy as you would think the Lego Store would be with so many schools in the area on spring break but you would never know it from a customer service standpoint. My 7 year old had a few questions on some lego sets and one of the employees happily chatted him (and several other little boys) up. The lego employee answered all of his questions and listened to all of his stories. After about 20-25 minutes of browsing and selecting we got in line that extended midway through the store. But the cashiers were not only lightening fast but so very friendly as well. Minus the temperature in the store I look forward to our next trip back! read more

Ah. The Lego Store. They've got tons of Lego sets, T-Shirts and anything else related to those wonderful plastic bricks. One of the coolest things about the store was the parts assortment. You could get a container and stuff as many parts as you want to into it, and pay one flat price. The people who work here are both helpful and energetic about their Legos. They definitely know their stuff. As Chris Rock says "People don't sell crack. Crack sells itself. You don't see someone going down the street saying 'Damn this is some fine crack!'" Same goes for Legos. Legos sell themselves. However if you need a nudge in the right direction, they're definitely there to help. I bought a nostalgic Star Wars set for a teammate of mine and left satisfied. This review is for the Lego Store that is actually INSIDE Woodfield Mall (not in the Shops, or Streets, or whatever the newer section is called). This is a much smaller Lego store than the one I typically take my four year old to (in Water Tower Place downtown) so the building stations there are smaller but they still have a very good selection of Legos. We came here on a weekend morning and it wasn't too crazy. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful... customer service at its best! We were set to go across the street to the bigger Legoland Discovery Ctr at Streets of Woodfield but were pressed for time so stayed at WF Mall and just went here. We ended up getting everything we needed and then some, the place is great. The store is not that big but like the Water Tower location downtown, they maximize by use of excellent space planning. Everything is laid out and organized very well, all the stations are kept clean and as orderly as you can expect (with tons of kids building and creating their own "take home" pieces) and the staff is as about as helpful/useful as you could want. My 4 y/o is just now getting into Lego's and I see this phase lasting a good while longer with so many possibilities now and for sure in the years to come. read more

Great place to buy a gift for kids in several age ranges since they carry duplo as well as more intricate legos. I went yesterday during a good time when they received a shipment so I was able to purchase some disney duplos and a few lego elves sets for my older daughter. The workers were very friendly and nice and very helpful. The cashier, Amber was very nice and efficiently signed me up for points and was very nice. I am sure it's a crazy disaster during the weekends, but during the day it was great and wasn't too packed. They sell a huge millennium falcon set for $800 ... crazy, but looks really cool read more

We had a few little ones who had Lego's on their Christmas List this year, so we braved the dangerous confines of Woodfield a week before Christmas. The store was crowded with parents and children running around like crazy, and the staff members of this story were as calm, cool and friendly as you could ever want them to be. I was really impressed and surprised that they were able to be as helpful and cheerful as they were amid all this chaos, so I had to give them some props for being one of the only retail stores left in America that believes in customer service. My son and I purchased new lego ninjago collection, when we got home to find numerous pieces missing. I called asked for manager who was extremely rude and told me I could order the pieces online! Just trying to buy 3 pieces to put together a set with 3 missing pieces. They said I had to buy a $10 bucket and no less even though the other Schaumburg lego store sells them by weight. I only wanted 1 figure that I figured maybe would sell for 4bucks (really only needed one particular hat to complete a set). Couldn't get it without spending 12 bucks for a three figure set. Way to nickel and dime lego people. Way to not provide good customer service and help someone out Lego people. They said that they don't inventory them that way but the manager could have done something to help out a loyal customer. That would be good customer service in my opinion. read more
