This is one of the best comic books stores in the area. Great selection of comics. Not 100% organized but not so closterphobic and packed that you can't walk around. They have all the modern supplies you need to pick up if you are looking for that. There is also games and other collectible item there but comics seem to still be the primary function of the place. "I ran across Keith's Komix one day when driving around the Schaumburg area. It is a cute little comic store and you could tell by the way that the owner was conversing with the regulars that he really treats them well. The store is a little small and cramped but they have a decent selection of American comics, and a shelf or two of manga. There are lots of back issues in the back! If you are a SIP fan, I saw a abundance of SIP stuff and back issues as well. They also have collectables and toys in the front of the store. Last time I stopped by I had a few questions and I believe it was the owner who helped me out with everything that I needed. He stopped and chatted with me and even helped me find a few new comics that I might be interested in. He rocks! So, if you are in the area... stop in and grab your weekly comics then go next door and get some ice cream from dairy queen. read more

Keith's Komix is a wonderful place which can't be overlooked. It has comics and figures that have just been released and others that many people can remember from years ago. From A(vengers) to Z(ombies), Keith's has next to everything. You won't want to miss it. Not to mention how kind and helpful Keith and his son are. They have recommendations that will surely help you find something new for yourself and even decide what would be right for your kids. Going there is a dive into the future and a blast from the past. This is by far our favorite comic shop. The staff is always friendly & helpful. Excellent selection of comics, toys & games. They even have some really nice high-end collectibles I like to peruse when we stop in. They even carry some Doctor Who action figures which is great because those aren't as easy to come by unless you are shopping online. If they don't have a comic you are looking for they might be able to order it, just ask. We recently wanted a specific Doctor Who comic for our Godson & they had it for us within a week. read more

I think the best endorsement that I can give Keith's is the fact that I have been buying comics from Keith for the last 17 years; and will never buy them anywhere else as long as he has a store open. There is always and excellent selection of mainstream books, indie press books, managa and collectibles; regardless of what part of the geek spectrum you love Keith's will be very likely to provide you with your fix An ample supply of back issues, always interesting 25 cent bins and a large selection of bundled 'story packs' not only make browsing interesting but make Keith's a great place to find something new. You can also usually find an ample supply of signed merchandise, especially from Alex Ross and Strangers and Paradise's Terry Moore. But regardless of all that greatness what really makes this a great comic book store is Keith. Friendly, knowledgeable and willing to bend over backwards to make sure you feel welcome and get what you need. Keith runs a store free of the elitist attitude you often find in many comic shops. Haven't been to this shop in years but we were in town on vacation so I took my comic obsessed son thee to check it out. The store is great with a huge selection. Lots of vintage, toys, shirts, graphic novels, and too much to list. My son was in heaven. The service was stellar. The woman working the store greeted us warmly and apologized for small messes in spots where she was cleaning and rearranging the store. My son bought an Iron Man graphic novel and even though he was only spending $20 (lots of money for a 9 year-old) they made his small purchase feel important to them. Great place where I go for most of my comic book related shopping needs. Every once in a while they won't have something (?) or run out (?), so then I have to figure out where else to go. Which is no big deal at all for me. I don't really stick around but everyone seems very friendly; the staff seems to be on awesome terms with some of their customers. read more

Really cute store with a huge collection of comics, tabletop games, and tabletop gaming figures. I always check in whenever I'm in the area and love their selection. They also have some groups that come in to play tabletop games, and are very fun to chat with. I'm always a sucker for Funko pops and superhero figures, which are very appropriately priced here! Definitely would never go back to this place!! Women that works there is an absolute Karen. Customer service was horrible and they are rude.... after that experience we went to "Beyond tomorrow comics and cards" definitely way nicer to deal with and way more selection of new and vintage comics and collectibles. read more

Keith's is a nice comic book store. Generally if I'm having a really hard time tracking down a current comic. I can generally find it here which is awesome. Like one time I was looking for an issue of She-Hulk, and it was hard to find because it was a tie in to Marvel's Civil War, because like Captain America shows up for like two pages. And every place was sold out and the people at Chicago Comics were all like "It'll be impossible to find." WELL GUESS WHAT!?! They had it here. read more

I don't have huge comic book needs, just a couple trade paperbacks a year, but whenever I've stopped in they've been super helpful and incredibly generous. One time I went in looking for something and even though he (the owner, I presume, Keith) didn't technically have the copy "in stock" he ran to the back to take the issue out of his work bag and sold more his copy. I moved recently, but that act was enough for me to keep coming back here even though there are shops closer to me. read more

A friend recommended I go here after I expressed frustration with my local comic book shop in Palatine. I was absolutely blown away on my first visit. Everything is organized, pristine even. Tons of back issues. Tons of vintage issues. Lots of heroclix and figures. Keith is a super nice guy and I love coming in! I went here for the first time looking for some specific comics and they had most of what I wanted. The selection is vast and if you can't find what you're looking for they will try to get if for you. They carry some games, toys, t-shirts and collectible figures. Family owned and family ran with great customer service that is very knowledgeable and aren't just looking for the sale. If you work with the owner, Keith, on finding what you want, he can get it for you if it's not in store or point you in the right direction if it is something he can't order himself. Even the regulars are friendly and willing to help answers any comic book related questions or share opinions on the latest in comic, movie, and gaming news. Game nights on Thursday nights are always fun. There are usually HeroClix games going on and there are a lot of DEMO games to try out before you buy. There's always a group playing tabletop games and if you are not sure about a game, you can always ask those that have played it for feedback or just play the demo with those people there. I also have known Keith sense he worked at Moondogs and I have never found him lacking in knowledge about the books. When he opened his own store I would go to him for hard to find back issues or cards for a card game. This is the most honest person I found in this business so far. That other review that has him undervaluing a book must remember what a book is worth to a store depends on how many of that book they have in stock at that time. If they have 20 of a title the value of that book goes down to -0- on the other hand if they have -0- the value goes to what they can sell it for and no more! Every store must be able to make a profit to stay in business. Keith's Komix is the best run store I've found in the area and they have a large selection of back issues to choose from as well as new titles on the shelves. In Keith's if you can't find it ask and Keith will find it for you and if not in his store he will order it for you. If you get nothing else from this these three things I have to say about Keith's is Honesty, Truth, Fairness. read more

Comic store has a huge variety but the store is a mess. Boxes are all over and just kind of a dirty look and feel to the store. The girl who works here is always polite and very nice but the man who works here is not very pleasant. I am assuming he is the owner. Try being nice to the customers dude and maybe they will come back to your store that is closer instead of now going to a comic store that is farther away. I would only be back if i couldn't find what i was looking for at any other store. read more
