Needless to say the entire table is junk and to make matters worse it fell apart during my presentation (which was humiliating to say the least)! Since that day I made many phone calls without a single response. Now I have always liked Michael's, but after this experience and the fact that my HR expected me to get my money back instead of reimbursing me I have to have my money reimbursed as I can't even imagine losing $200 on the most unsafe table in existence. We came here and looked around briefly and found a few items we liked. A woman was there and greeted us along with a younger gentleman in the other room. She let us know we were welcome to take a look around and that she is negotiable on some things. We ended up getting some cute rings for $5 a pop and we all agreed that the woman (Angie I think) was super warm and welcoming. We would come back based on her alone! She was very nice and even told us about another antique-y place near by since we mentioned we were just out shopping at different antique places. Clearly at one point it was a record shop (the name gives it away of nothing else), and there's still a case of them in the middle of the room, but it's been subsumed by the mass quantities of toys and memerobilia that are crammed into this small storefront! Got a cartoon, sci fi film or other cult classic that you like? Chances are they have something from it. (I even saw a Danger Mouse figurine...does anyone aside from me remember that show?!) Edge your way through the quagmire of collectibles and take your time looking! The only thing I didn't find that I was seeking? Micro Machines! (Not the Star Wars etc. ones; just the old school mini cars. They did have lots of Hot Wheels though.) This place was pretty crowded on a week-end (read: 5 or 6 customers at once, which given the space was practically overflowing). Worth a stop if you are nearby, or a trip if you are a big collector!
