I went here after coming from another bar that was full. Looking to watch the NFL division game. It was full but not packed! Found a seat at the bar. Place is nice, lots of TV's which is great if your following different sports at a time! My seat was perfect. People are friendly. Other reviews are saying its filled with 60 yr old patrons, not at the time I was there. It was mixed. Bar tenders were nice and servers not snobby unlike in other bars I've been to. Beer is a little on the upside, over $10 for a pint of Stella! I ordered wings, $15 for about 10-12 pieces. It was good, fresh and crispy! Lasted me for the remainder of the game. I wanted to order nachos but they didn't have a smaller serving $24. Wish they have a personal sized one. I think the food prices are reasonable but beer prices are expensive. Burgers are $15 onwards which is almost the same anywhere. Overall, the experience is great! Plenty of parking around! I'll be coming back since this is close to my place. We ordered the surf, turf and Chuck?? Along with onion rings. The rings and the fries were over greasy, which I normally find to be a good thing, but not when the oil is well overdue to be changed. Definitely spoiled what could have been very good product. The fish slider was like a fish finger from mcdonald's with minimal sauce. We could not finish it. The chicken slider was a small chicken strip, also with a minimal amount of sauce. Finished it but it was extremely dry. The final entry was the cheeseburger. Over powering spice and the fact that it was under cooked (raw) made it impossible to take more then 2 small bites. If this is a representative example of their food, then it is a great place to avoid. The service and the drinks were the only saving grace. Our server was pleasant and helpful and the beer was cold and fresh. The whiskey was delicious. Not going back. read more

It is like of the customer has no value. It does not matter if you are there or not. I had to ask for water more than once. What kind of place serves beer and no water?? Also, it is not kids friendly. They are rude and disrespectful. To the establishment: If you do not want kids, do yourself a favor and make sure to inform the rules at the door and train your staff better so they do not say "serve yourself" to play at the pool table. It was rude the way the manager kicked us out of the pool table, after the server allowing us to use it: "It is not like the cheap video-games you buy to your kids.This is an expensive table". If you want a place to go with your kids, go to O'Hares, Free Birds or even the Canadians Pub before 7pm. Cool space. Servers are nice. Drunk old guy being super loud which is why I chose to leave early, he was yelling non stop and the couple next to him asked him to chill out after that he started going on about how hes a regular and basically "owns the place", that guy and his buddies ruined the vibe. Seems like the crowd here is mostly 60 somethings who drink too much. Freezer burnt wings. Poorly seasoned food.. put some salt in the gravy fellas the only "seasoning" in this goopy mess is a barrel of cornstarch. I have been to this pub few times since I moved to Richmond. I love the fact that they are always showing the sport game you are looking for(it s really hard to find pubs showing soccer games). Staff are very nice and do their best to accomdate customer needs. We got many items from the menu but the most outsanding one so far is the three eggs omlette with cheese : it is simply perfecto. Came by for some beer. Looks like Legends took over the former Malone's. Parking is available in the lot surrounding the building, as well as on Blundell. Looks like they renovated since the Malone's era. The wall separating the main bar area and private room has been knocked down, and the bar counter extended. The venue now has a much more open feel as a result. The upstairs area is still my favourite, though the upstairs bar isn't always open. Staff were friendly. The beer is a bit on the expensive side here, even for the basic stuff. Try to hit one of their drink specials. read more

I went there last Friday for the FIRST and LAST TIME with a small group of work colleagues. I wouldn't recommend this place at all if you enjoy good food or good drink. I ordered a Negroni at the bar and the bartender (dark haired young guy) charged me $12! I should have asked the price first to avoid him ripping me off, but I didn't expect him to be dishonest. It wasn't even a double and it was the worst tasting negroni ever, too much Campari, some vermouth and little to no gin. Food was brown greasy junk and smelled better than it looked. Place was filled with +60 year plus bald men who comprised 85% of the patrons. The waitress was nice -- that was the only good point about this pub. This place is a ripoff of a dump. read more

This spot has been around for as long as I can remember. The owners have changed as well as the name but it's always a good time. Taking up the old J P Malone's spot.. it was like plug and play for a bar well known in the Richmond area for it's cheap wing Wednesday's and a place to catch the game to just due to circumstance, shut down their old location due to condo development, and then find a place that used to have a bar.. and just move in with really ZERO renovation! So, are you missing Legends.... don't know where it went.. don't know a place in Richmond that has a ton of screens to catch some sort of game that's playing.. well.. they are back in a new location! I knew about them moving, I just didn't realize that they would take up a place that was set up for this. In some ways the new location is better, as there is a fair sized parking lot on the premises. Also coming to the old J P Malone's, I don't remember all these screens that I saw on this time. The deals are the same as before... Wing's Wednesday... cheap beer specials, just new location. You will not see the big letters that used to be on the side building of their old location but you will get the same amount of service.. which is more than you got from the old location.... here now. Probably one of the more lively sports bars in Richmond.. definitely the one with the most screens if you need to see the action and looking at what I saw on the night I was there.. people have learned to flock here, compared to the place that used to be here before. Typical neighbourhood pub...if you were in suburban Michigan! It was Richmond! And I was the only Asian there! Minus the one tiny server that I accidentally hit as one of the chairs went sliding out. Dunno what happened...I didn't even have a brew yet! Anyways...where did they find so many Caucasian to populate the place?!?! It was packed too! Bar selection is fine. Nice grouping of brews to satisfy anyone. I was already pretty much in the bag after a few pints. There isn't a lot of pubs around so it is good to see that one survived. One pool table and it was occupied all the time and the peeps playing wasn't the friendly types so I let them at it. I would have so beat them off the table if I was playing! Supa-Star! Not! 2.5 Stars overall. Not a repeat bar for me as I had been to better pubs. Extra .5 stars for the gal who served us. She was friendly, nice, and a good sport. Cheers. read more

I've been to this pub so many times and never got the urge to do a review as there was nothing noteworthy, good or bad. This time, however, I really didn't like the service from our server. Legends is basically a neighborhood sports pub with lots of televisions. The atmosphere is pretty chill and is a good place to hang out with friends. This is the only reason why I gave them a 2 star and not 1. Food is your typical pub-food... I've never found the food here to be yummy. They were just edible. I'd never come here to have a proper meal. Service-wise was always average for me. They were never your "friendly" servers that you would see elsewhere. They usually just ask you what you want, deliver your food, and then come back and give you the cheque. This time when we went, we didn't even get a basic "greeting." She basically put down the menu and "what can I get you?" My friend and I each ordered a beer plus a calamari to share. The pub wasn't busy at all on a Friday night and there were plenty of empty tables. When we were there for approx a little over an hour, said server confirmed that we weren't going to order any more and proceeded to bring us the cheque and the credit card machine! What the heck. We didn't even ask for it. She also didn't "politely" ask us if we can pay now. She expected that we'd know without her saying anything since the credit card machine was right there. She basically wanted us gone since we weren't going to order any more. The menus were also so worn down that they didn't even try to replace them. For example, a lot of the pages were ripped off or saturated with water. We couldn't see what was on these pages. For a lot of reasons, I just don't think Legends really care about the different elements that make up a pub. After this visit, however, I won't go back anymore even though it's such a convenient location for me. read more

I had just gotten off work my boyfriend and I were starving, figured out we would check out a new pub that we haven't been to. We walked in, no one greeted us. When the server came to the table she was wearing flip flops and a shirt that looked too big hanging off her shoulder and bra strap showing. She looked like she hadn't slept in days. we ordered guacamole and chips as well as calamari. The guacamole was honestly sliced avocado with red onion in the tiniest bowl, and the chips were stale. the server made no guest connection and we didn't really feel welcome at all. The lighting is ample. Location is good. The waitresses are nice. The new location is roomy and has a great sports themed decor. The pub itself is functional and gets the job done. The beer is selection is fair (Canadian, Phillips blue buck, Guinness, Innis and gunn and several other macro brews). So the 2 star rating..... The pasta ordered was somewhere along the lines of - bachelor college pasta. I know of very few pubs that have terrible food. I can say this is one of those exceptions. Let me start this off nice. Went on a Monday night, food was good the service was okay, but only because there was one server for the whole restaurant. Drinks did taste watered down and didn't even catch a bus with 4 signature drinks. After dinner we sat down to play pool after a while my father seen a dead mouse on the floor. Then 10 minutes after that another baby mouse ran down the stairs. After seeing that we immediately left and even left our leftovers. Most definitely won't be eating here again. I went to Legend yesterday for the first time and Thank you to a black waitress. I really had an awful night. All service she had given to us during the night was amateur, unpleasant, and ignoring. She put down glasses and dishes loudly (we are not a fool. We could tell she put those down hard on the table intentionally, not a careless action). We kept trying to avoid it, but she did not stop being rude to us. She sometimes came upon to our tables how we are doing but it was more likely caring without any emotions. Nothing we behaved impolite to her, but we wonder why she was behaving such rude. The most rude she was at the last moment when we paid our bill. She gave the bill and we were about to pay ours. She just took my card like she was taking something from a young sister and inserted it into the machine to make the whole payment with my card (at that time my friend also brought her card out to pay the bill too). She said she thought I was going to pay the bill, but three people were sitting at the table? I was so mad how she had been acting and I finally decided not to give her tips. However, as a worker at a restaurant, I at least wanted to give some tips to cooks and bartender who made good meals and drinks. After she checked the tips (yeah it should be very small for you because it was not for you) , and THREW THE RECEIPT IN FRONT OF ME AND SAID sarcastically "thanks for the tip."
