We were referred to Legends Landscaping by a friend and because 'word of mouth' is my favorite advertisement we gave them a call. I had intended to shop around, but I knew right away that this was the team for the job. They came out quickly for a consultation and helped to draft up some ideas for the space. I told them I wanted something simple, to extend the little plot of pavers that came with the house to make a larger patio for a hot tub down the road, some artificial grass for the dogs to run around in and otherwise I wanted low maintenance EVERYTHING. We met Craig for the consult and he helped draft up some ideas. Right away I knew that he knows his stuff. Thanks for making it a collaborative and fun process! The overall job was quick and all the crew that worked on the yard were professional. We worked with Joel during the job and he was very communicative at every step of the way. When it came time for the final walk through I had a few things that weren't 100% what I had expected, I sent some communication to Joel and he was quick to come back out and fix a few little things that had caught my eye. The job was done in the early winter before it got too cold and the snow came in. They made sure all the irrigation was working and then winterized the whole thing for us. Something must have been missed because this spring we realized that a PVC component had broken. I text Joel to ask if he was able to come take a look and help us get the irrigation running. He was so great! He helped us get the little part fixed the next day. Everything is running smooth now and we are really pleased with the end result. Good landscaping isn't cheap, but I believe that high quality can come at a premium and it was money well spent. read more

I do not recommend you deal with this company.They have favoritism between family and staff. They treat their employees poorly throwing them under the bus. They are extremely overpriced and cut corners. And the staff is absolutely awful. No thank you. read more

Work was done well with a few issues that had to be addressed. The biggest issue was with stated price and the contract I signed on line with the company. Be aware! print out and verify the work specified and then sign to eliminate any suprises. read more

Legends Landscaping did our front yard last year. They did excellent work and it came out beautiful. Unfortunately a tree and some plants they installed, died during the winter. We contacted Jimmy at Legends and explained the issue. He had his people come out and replace them with no question. This company has great customer service and really value their customers. I spent alot of money having Legends landscaping work on my front yard. I realize that it has been a year since they did there work. I tried to turn on my sprinkler system. They had placed new piping under my pavers. The pipes where they replaced started shooting water out. I called them since they are the company that replaced the piping. They called me back telling there not responsible for piping. That is poor responsibility for shootie work. I tried to call my coordinator. But he never called me back. That shows you how professional they are. Would not recommend them, especially when they don't accept responsibility for their work. read more

Legends came out and gave us a bid on a paver pathway last year in 2021. We ended up calling Legends after another landscaper here in town dropped the ball (repeatedly). Lacey scheduled an appointment to come give us a bid which she got back to us very quickly. The bid was comprehensive and very detailed. We explained we wanted to get started as soon as possible due to the fact that we had wasted 6+ months on someone else...Lacey gave us an estimated start date and they actually began sooner than anticipated. The workers that did the job were amazing. Very nice guys, on time every day, cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day, and were actually working in weather that I didn't expect them to work in. After the job was complete Matt came out to inspect everything with us. The work was performed in what was still essentially winter. When I turned on my irrigation I noticed a leak in a location where they moved one of my sprinklers to accommodate the new pathway. Matt got back to me right away...came over to check it out and the next morning it was fixed ! These people are awesome from everything to the initial process, communication, expectations and overall work product. I highly recommend them, and we have hired them to begin another big patio project for us hopefully this spring. read more

I had 5 companies submit proposals for xeriscape of most of my front yard and went to physical locations to see their work. I liked Legends' work the best and, from start to finish, they did an excellent job. Lacey did the design after talking to me about likes/dislikes and my thoughts on the design. She provided what I call a blueprint, with every detail shown, including the names of the plants/trees/shrubs and their location as well as where boulders and DG would be. After looking up each plant, I had some changes in the flowers. I also complicated the project when I had all my perennials come up before the project started and wanted to keep some of them. Lacey was more than accommodating and when the project was completed, I absolutely loved it. The workers were always on time and project completion was timely as was the cost compared with the other proposals. The owner did a walk through just after project completion and addressed a mix-up which was fixed the next day! Legends truly did an excellent job and I highly recommend them. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I bought a property 10 years ago where Legends had done @ $30000 worth of landscaping 2 years prior. I have a half acre. All the walls are falling in that are supposed to hold up a LOT of dirt. The waterfall feature is a mess. I called for suggestions and help. They sent someone out to look and was told if I wasn't going to spend another $3000 they had no time for me! When told social media would hear about this I got an email threatening I would hear from their attorney. Never heard from an owner. Great customer service, huh? If you want to throw thousands of dollars down the drain call them, they will help you. read more

Legends Landscaping --- No, the name should be more along the lines of Lack of Customer Service / Response Landscaping! I saw their advertising & advertisements (every where) that the are one of Reno's top / leading landscape companies so being I am looking to overhaul my backyard, I reached out to get a quote. They set an appointment and the sales rep came out. Spent about an hour taking measurements & discussing what I was seeking. For this quote, I specifically was seeking to pave a large section in my backyard & have a large built-in fire pit with wall etc. Sales rep committed to having the quote to me by end of week. 1 1/2 weeks later no quote so I reached out. It took almost 2 weeks to get the quote... which had multiple other items quoted on it, like $4,000 dollars in bushes & shrubs, $5,000 for a crane for 2 days (what the heck the crane was for is beyond me), etc. AND the actual work I asked to be quoted on, was listed as "Optional". OPTIONAL!!!!!!!! Called to speak with the salesman to inquire WTF and get a quote for what I actually requested. After almost a week he sent me a "quote breakdown". Being he didn't answer my questions or my multiple calls / left messages, I then called and requested to speak to a manager. The lady on the phone shared they do not really have a manager at which point I requested to speak to the owner or whomever. She transferred me to the "Controller" whom apologized, took my information and said he would get back to me. It's been about a month now.... still no call. My guess is, the sales rep quoted what & how he did because he / the company didn't want to do the job????? Then the lack of return calls from the sales rep and then the "Controller"..... Yeah, Legends Landscaping is not an appropriate business name. "Lack of Customer Service / Response Landscaping" fits perfectly! Don't waste your time calling them!!! read more
