Was very pleased with the work but when things went wrong couldn't get them back - I needed help with dead spots in new sod and a sprinkler head that wouldn't work right - they replaced it once but it consistantly goes bad in 3-4 weeks - something is wrong but I've texted them to come back and can't get them back - they also were suppose to do some dg work and never came back for that either - I was impressed with the work but not with follow ups to fix problems read more

Above and Beyond. Jose has a great team of people. Starting with Roger in sales who covered project planning and design to the hard working landscaping team. Everyone was courteous, professional, and stayed on task. The site was cleaned daily, Jose made us feel special and took the time to touch base along the way, always doing more for us then he was supposed to which really showed how much he cares and is committed to his customers. We are more than pleased with the results. The project for our newly finished home consisted of a large amount of Concrete, Pavers, Rock, Gravel, French Drains, Drip, Irrigation system, Grading and a very challenging hill which they made easy work of. We hired Always Green to do the first pass on our yard last year, including a fire pit and paver area, as well as a patio and fence around the front. They did a fantastic, efficient job. Living in a new home community, we've seen so many landscape projects get started that drag on for months. That wasn't the case with Always Green. They got to work on the timeline given, and addressed all of my concerns. After winter there were a few minor plumbing issues with irrigation that they came back to take care of without issue. These were mainly because the yard was finished right at the end of winter, and we didn't get a chance to test everything before the winter freeze. We later started a pool project this August. As the pool was being dug out it became apparent that we needed to have a pretty big retaining wall added along a big slope. The pool contractor, however, doesn't do retaining walls, and dug out only enough space for their things. I was very concerned that we were painting ourselves into a corner, especially once all the pool equipment was installed. Stress level: maximum. I spoke with Roger and Jose about this. They made magic happen, and were able to get their crew in and complete the needed wall, and sort out an absolute mess of drainage issues with extremely short notice, before the equipment got installed. Always Green absolutely saved the day (and my sanity) here. I can't say enough good things about them. They are really good people that I can genuinely say I'm happy to have given my business to. read more

Where to start... We are extremely satisfied with Always Green Landscaping. The thing that makes this company better than the others is the others don't have Jose! I had a lot of companies come over and had several conversations with some but Jose was immediately my favorite. He answered the phone with such enthusiasm. I loved his energy. He was able to stop by the same day and his whole vibe was awesome! I felt like I e known him for years. Very easy to talk to. He was extremely patient with us as my husband and I discussed everything. I am so glad I went with Jose! I will never use another company to do any type of landscaping besides his because he was just awesome and gave us such a great deal that I would want to use him for everything to repay him haha. Jose and his team went above and beyond on our backyard. We have a decent sized yard. They put in concrete and we have a bike path for our kid and they even did a few extras to make it all come together. Juan the concrete guy was absolutely wonderful at his craft. He did such an amazing job we are still in wow! All the guys were so cool so professional and just overall hard workers. Jose has himself a great team and even one of the guys told me he is such a great boss to work for which I loved hearing! Jose is a family man and I just love the vibe he gives off. We completely trust him and honestly I want to have he and his family over for dinner haha. Our yard is absolutely gorgeous, we can't stop looking at it! We hired Always Green LLC for our unfinished/new backyard. We have used many landscapers in the past in other homes and I have to say there is no comparison. Conan, we have had very similar experiences with Jose and Always Green...They did decent work last Fall--they are certainly NOT inexpensive--but a decent job that we had to get completed... Since then, starting in late 2018--a disaster...Here is a 2019 Always Green update: Last Fall, 2018, Jose & his crew at Always Green did a decent job, clearing our acreage of weeds and debris...Always Green did carelessly miss some roots--but overall they did a 3 star job...Not a cheap job--but we had to get it done... Since then, we have had a long ongoing series of "no call--no shows", "bad weather days" or "an illness"- by not just Jose, but his free-lancing tree cutting foreman, Moises. Last Fall, Moises promised he would trim our trees--Jose does not do tree trimming...Moises was then twice a "no show--no call"... Remember, we are busy--and we sat around home all day--twice-waiting for Moises. Nothing. No call-no text. We hired American Arborists instead. Last winter, when it must have been slow, Moises called us--looking for work...LOL...Of course, the tree work was already done--by American Arborists... This Spring we needed more vital orchard and lawn work done, and started calling Jose in mid March. Since that day in March, we have had several recent firm "promises" by Jose to show up--and do our vital orchard rototilling, thatching, weeding, mowing and other vital yard and orchard tasks.. Last Wednesday, the weather was "too stormy" (it was rainy) ...Jose apologized, and promised us that last Saturday he would be here--but he never showed up, texted, or called...We again called Jose-and Jose was ill...But why didn't he call us, or text us to cancel? Why do we have to always call him and ask, "where are you?" Like Conan M. in Carson--we learned Jose never follows through, unless prodded by texts and phone calls... The latest promise by Jose? We had a apology, and a firm, promised time on Saturday for a crew here on Tuesday by 9:00 am... At 11:00 am, we still no Jose--no crew...and no phone call--and no text.. We called him--as usual, Jose rarely calls you--you have to call him--even when he has totally screwed up, and Jose is running late..that day at 11:00am am , Jose promised us he would be here by 1:00pm... We sat around waiting... Jose was again a no show--no call..24 hours later, nothing, no phone call or text... We paid Jose and his Always Green crew well last fall--and tipped every man on the crew. This spring was just awful--and this poor response is the thanks for previous business we did with Jose--multiple excuses, multiple no call-no shows, and zero follow thru... We have texts documenting these issues, too. Honestly, like many small businesses, Jose is not able to grow and service his business properly. This is not rare, either. Almost anyone can manage a small business with a couple employees, and a few accounts, pretty well. But now Always Green is letting down multiple clients who have used their services before. We cannot recommend Always Green any longer. Want to save your time and some money? Jose and his crew, led by Moses, showed up right on time. They had a huge project--clear our newly purchased acreage of weeds, trash, and debris. No one had lived on this land for almost 3 years, so it was a big mess....The property was loaded with thousands of nasty weeds...Jose's men set to work quickly, and efficiently, using great gardening equipment. Working all day, the crew at Always Green got the big job done, and the acreage is now cleaned of about 2 tons of weeds and debris. Next Week? Jose and his crew are putting in our new bushes, fruit trees, drip lines and sprinklers next week.... read more

I called to schedule an appointment a week in advance for an estimate on my yard and when the day finally came no one showed up. I called to see what happened and the man that answered the phone said he was still working on a different job. He never apologized for having me waste my evening waiting. Despite this, I remained calm and chose to give him a second chance by rescheduling but he didn't show up again to the second appointment. I wish this company would take into consideration that it's hard for people to take time off as it is and that it is important to honor commitments. read more
