Keith and his crew went above and beyond with our new home in Silver Canyon. They installed artificial turf, pavers and three kinds of rock in our backyard. He also ran a gas line to the backyard for a bbq. And poured concrete along the house. Paul, Keith and Gabby as well as their team are the bomb! I received a call for bid on our project and Paul was out the next day! He came back 2 more times to talk with my husband and to clarify what we wanted done for our backyard/partial front yard transformation. I was so impressed with Paul that we accepted his proposal without submitted any other project bids. I made the right decision. Working off of a home drawn plan not done to scale wasn't an issue. We are extremely pleased with the results of our front yard re-do which entailed removing old plants, rock and poor irrigation systems. I did the landscape drawing which was submitted to our HOA and had Keith Craig give us a proposal for the work. The crew did an amazing job of clearing the old site leaving not a trace of dirt behind. After installing artificial turf and new water systems, the plants were put in. To save a bit, Keith suggested that we choose and pay for the exact plants and they would retrieve them for us. I chose the plants at a local nursery, the landscapers picked them up and planted them exactly as I designed the spaces. From our first visit with Keith to get an estimate for a backyard remodel,to the conclusion of the job, our experience was in fact First Class. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly everyday until the work was completed. Once our lawn was removed for artificial turf they discovered a pretty serious water problem that would have compromised the quality of the turf. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I had First Class Landscaping dig up my front lawn and the dead bushes then replace with rock and new bushes. The finished product looks great. Two colors of rock were used, and they didn't skimp on the rock. I also had them add a few large rocks to finish the look I was trying to achieve. They are pricey, they were the only ones that were prompt with the estimate, others either didn't show up or took weeks to get back to me with their estimates. I needed the job done quickly to avoid issues with the HOA. The two employees that did the work are very knowledgeable, patient and hard workers. read more

I got scammed by these guys last summer. Keith charged me $4K to do a yard cleanup and I'm only paying $300 to a different company to do a similar job this year, minus some sod (which didn't take). I admit I was naive as a new home owner but this is not okay, totally without integrity, and I got taken advantage of. I cannot endorse this business. I'm also a Military veteran. I updated my review to 2 stars because Keith reached out & they gave me $300 back for forgetting to do the irrigation system :-/ It just wasn't a $4K job. read more

I have been very remiss in writing a review. This month (January) it has been a year since the remodeled of our backyard. Our home sits 3 feet lower than our back neighbor. The 3 feet difference was a sloping DG covered dirt to the level of our patio. First Class came in created a retaining wall and in the process removed three dump trucks full of dirt, to give us a flat backyard. They also put in artificial grass , for our two dogs, a pad for a shed and finished it out with using our bigger rocks strategically placed through the new backyard. I wish I could show you what the yard looked like before and after pictures. We have gotten so many compliments on the job First Class did. The owner was constantly involved in the process which I really appreciated. I would recommend First Class to anyone that asks for a recommendation. read more

Worse Warranty Customer Service. During our first year, we encountered a couple of issues that are considered under warranty. After contacting them, it takes forever to get a response and when they do, they do not want to take responsibility for their work. Our neighbor had a water leak and suspected it was coming from our yard, so we asked that they come out to verify and Keith indicated that if it wasn't their work, that they would charge the neighbor for the service to come out. We also had a couple of boulders crumbling and after an infinite amount of calls, they finally came out to replace them. We recently called, so they could provide extra support on one of the (6) trees they planted that is bending due to the natural strong winds in Reno, but they refused to honor their warranty and stated they would only come out, if we were willing to pay $100 per stake. I questioned why they didn't add ANY stakes at the original time of planting our trees and their response was, 'that it is not needed due to how they plant them in the ground'. We purchased our rock fountain with 'Creative Gardens', who later needed to come out a couple of times with NO hesitation and have the most absolute wonderful staff and customer service. read more

I cancelled the contract because he would not respond to my e-mails, certified letters etc., advising him I needed a firm date for work to commence due to my going into surgery. Right now I am a very pissed off senior citizen, retired military veteran and homeowner who is taking time to advise you to steer clear of this business because they are neither honest nor reputable. I contacted Paul since he had done a part of the backyard with the previous homeowners. I wanted to put in a low maintenance front yard with room to "grow" as I decided what I wanted over time. Paul worked with a very "rough" idea from me and provided a design that I could give to my HOA. Yes it took a while to be implemented (all other landscapers also gave a long lead time due to demand.) but when Paul's team came in - WOW ... it was quick. Way faster than I had anticipated. His team are all professional, customer service oriented ... I would work with them again. I would like to give a shout out to First Class Landscape Construction! I had a water leak at my landscaping and house main valves. He came by the day I called, assessed the issue explained what needed to be done. His price was reasonable for this type of job and he and his crew were great! They dug the hole to access the valves and repaired the leaking pipe. I also had them replace the valves with new ones while everything was exposed. This may not seem like a big job, but to dig a hole that big and deep to get to the pipe and valves was beyond my capabilities. I know there are a lot of landscape contractors out there but I support Paul and his business. I would certainly hire him again. read more

They were supposed to put grass seed in, remove a couple of trees completely, and put some paver bricks in for us. They messed up our pergola. We paid a lot of money just for the backyard to look like crap. I've tried to contact them several times and I've gotten nothing back. read more

We moved to Reno from Florida and had to have our backyard landscaped and irrigation set up. We contacted 4 other companies and were either given higher quotes or told that it would take at least 4 months before this could be done. These guys are great! They do fantastic work. I had a weed covered hill as my backyard...not functional or attractive. Paul and his guys built two retaining walls and an awesome staircase to access them (if you look in the photos, you can see how it turned out...that grey paver staircase...yep...that belongs to me)! Next project is my front yard, and I wouldn't have anyone other than Paul and his crew do it. read more

Me and my wife have used this company for years to get our water turned on in the spring and off in winter. This year however we have had nothing but problems. My wife has called the number listed 5 different times and a lady answers and takes our information to give to Paul. Paul never calls back. I got an invoice from them saying they were coming on the 24th at 1pm and still have yet to have someone come out. I called again today and the lady gave the same generic response saying she would have Paul call me. She said Paul is too busy to return customers calls. Paul used to answer directly when you would call and now maybe they haven't gotten to big for their own good or they need a new receptionist. Very disappointing. I know getting water turned off and on may not seem like a big deal but me and my wife are not savvy with this kinda stuff and that's why we pay to have it done so we don't have to worry. Paul and First Class Landscaping lost a loyal customer today and a promoter of the business.
