Hi All, I'm looking for some advice. I went to go look at a property here in Concord, and have been dealing with an application specialist named Ryan Fernandez. I since I have never met anyone face to face and everything has been done via web, I'm a bit skeptical that this is a legitimate business. I see negative reviews of bad landlords. I just want to make sure that I'm not going to give my money and realized that I am not supposed to be there and this is a scam of some sort. I was told my credit was run and it never was for property on 1140 west st Pittsburg ca 94509. I email Ryan he told me there nothing I can do i don't have a credit score. I talked to Amy and was advised I used my middle name as my first name but she will run my credit again. I called her again she said my credit was 549 i told her i never had that as my credit score she told me to call TranUnion. TransUnion advised me nothing was run from this property company. I want my $48 back, want a waste of time. I really want this place but maybe God was on my side I will stay at the property im at. .........RYAN SUCKS..... and he come off very rude. It's interesting looking at this Yelp page, most of the positive reviews are from homeowners and most of the negative reviews are from rental applicants...shows you how they prioritize their customer service! We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with this company. Moving is already stressful, plus add having to look for a place to live during a global pandemic, and this company significantly added to our stress. There was a property we were very interested in renting, so in order to be responsive (and competitive), we took the time to complete the application, all of the required documentation, submitted a personal story about why we were interested in this particular property and community, and paid the application fees for 2 applicants. Real Property Management stated that due to COVID, no applications would even be considered without the application fees paid up front. Following our application submission, we received MANY notices from the company that our application was incomplete. I called a few times and finally spoke with Ryan. He said that the required documents we submitted still did not give them enough information, so I took additional time to prepare supplemental documents for their review. No call back, just more notices that our application was incomplete. I spoke with a receptionist at the office who said they were just automatic notices, but it looked like our application was complete in their system, so we should disregard the notifications. I asked Ryan a number of times if we could view the property, while still of course prioritizing safety during COVID. He said that only the property manager could arrange that, but that they wouldn't assign a property manager until our application had been approved. No further guidance on what was needed on our end. Days go by, no response. 11 DAYS AFTER submitting our application, I called Ryan again, and he said that our application was incomplete and the property was no longer available. I felt very deflated and disappointed, so I finally got in touch with the property manager and asked him to call me so we could discuss my negative experience. He never called me back and only responded "the application fee is non-refundable." For comparison, the other property management companies we have since worked with to find our home have been very supportive and understanding. They worked with us to schedule a private, safe viewing of the property. They walked us through the application process and were very communicative about each step. They also encouraged us NOT to pay any application fees until our application was complete and under consideration. Within days, we were approved and signed the lease. read more

I was looking to rent a house and found one on Zillow that I thought I would like. I sent a tour request and got an auto reply with a link to a site called Rently. This is one of those sites where you fill in some personal info, pick a date for a tour, and get a code to a key lock box to do a self tour. I've done a few of these which I was already skeptical of giving so much personal info for. However, with the Rently site it asked for credit card info as well as all the other personal info which I wasn't about to do. So I called Real Property Management Concord (RPM) to try and get a guided tour instead. I ended up leaving a message as it was the weekend and I guess they're closed. I got a text msg the next day from Paola. I explained the situation to them on how I didn't feel comfy giving so much personal info and that I would like a guided tour with one of their agents. They texted back saying that they only allow self tours and I would have to use Rently to schedule a tour. I explained again that I'd like a guided tour and wanted to keep my personal info and identity safe. I also mentioned that I was very interested in the home which just happened to be on the market for 70+ days. They replied saying that they can't do guided tours. With no real explanation as to why an agent couldn't give me a tour, I feel that RPM is doing the property owner a huge disservice. No wonder why this house has been on the market for 70+ days. read more

There are about 10 different phone numbers and the Australian sounding digital directory all sound the same. Upon sending an email inquiry I received a response from Ryan stating that the property I was interested in would be available next month and if I wanted to be added to the waiting list. I was very interested in a property coming in May 2020 so I quickly added myself to the waiting list and completed a rental application to ensure I was a qualified candidate prior to the property becoming available. I read that no pets were allowed so I reached out to Ryan to inquire if they would accept a small elderly dog. Unfortunately, they did not. Ryan went above and beyond asking all the pertinent questions I would have such as would they consider increasing the deposit. I was disappointed as I had already paid the application fee. Ryan ensured I received a speedy refund and provided comfort confirming no property is worth losing your pet and that the property that is right for my family will come up at the right time. I don't think this is a Legitimate company. Minutes into the conversation an automated voice came in saying we are being recorded. I asked the person what is that. The person said oh you are being recorded. I hung up, to find person's number doesn't show a name or buisness. But now they have a recording of my voice and words. By Law a company is to inform you before the conversation begins that you will be recorded. You then can decide yes or no. not inform you in the middle of the call. read more

RUN FORREST!!!! RUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!! Where the hell do I start?! Here, I'm going to number the things that went WRONG in our year lease with these slum lords... 1. faulty wiring (90% of the jacks in the house were damaged with exposed wiring and only some were fixed) 2. broken heater 3.pipe leak under house 4. multiple lifts of the flooring because the leak was not properly fixed (we're having recurrent issues with the leak) 5. An unstable structure attached to the house fell on my husband (they offered us a free months worth of rent and it took them an epic 5 MONTHS to remove the thing. After the patio fell on him, they were rushing to remove it). 6. retarded oven (only worked 60% of the time) 7. shower door was not properly secured and it fell off onto my son's foot 8. Mold in the house 9. the owner of the house comes whenever he feels like it to take pictures...I almost wonder if he has a naked picture of someone in my house 10. ANYTIME we've emailed and called for repairs, they are ignored or they say they have called someone and then nothing happens. 11. The property management owner Danny issued us a 3day pay or quit mid fucking month...SERIOUSLY! The property owner did not wish to renew the lease because he felt that we were going to sue him for the patio falling on my husband which constitutes retaliation under the CA landlord tenant law; so any proceedings they try to follow through with if repair requests and/or complaints were done in the last 6 months of the request/complaint won't stick. That 3day pay or quit was bullshit anyway because according to the landlord tenant law, if we pay rent after the lease is up, it renews the lease. On top of that, when the owner decided not to renew mid May, RPM should have issued a month to month contract with tenant/landlord responsibilities along with the 60-day notice to vacate; we didn't get notice until 6/15. AND it is UNLAWFUL for the landlord to collect rent on a property that repairs have not been made (check out inhabitability in the CA landlord tenant law). BOTTOMLINE: If you are stupid enough to rent from this property management company, please become an expert at Landlord Tenant law because I am 100% certain they will violate it. Or you can just email me on here and I will help you. I am absolutely surprised that someone hasn't done a class action lawsuit on this place because what they tried to do to us was outrageous. Thankfully, I'm a law student and have brains enough to research and have access to people who know this stuff. There was a maintenance guy who told my husband that he couldn't fix anything on the work order because the property management company hadn't paid him in a while. So if you are a vendor I don't think this would be a good place to contract with either. Stay away from here PLEASE! for your own personal and mental safety. read more

If I can give them a zero star or negative stars I won't give them any stars when I was looking for a house they were really nice but after I moved in AC and heating(furnace) system wasn't working I was waiting and bothered them to fix the system for 8 months. I try to fix them and reimburse from rent but they won't let me cuz they said they have a warranty and they also set me a schedule for repair about 5-6times in between 8months but never show up. I put in an application to rent a house in Pittsburg. I paid the 35.00 credit check and I never heard from RPM in Concord. I tried to call many times no answer. I think they take the 35.00 from a lot of people and never rent the property. They took all my important information and would not return any of my calls. Stay Away!!!! read more

I swear if I could send these ppl to hell on a wooden roller coaster wearing Gasoline Draws - I WOULD!!! Don't know where to begin. How about when we originally moved in bought groceries & ALL my food spoiled due to faulty outlets. What about the fact that we had no heat for 3 months (Sept. - Oct. 2012), after putting in multiple requests & LETTER SUBMISSIONS. Not having a oven, no kitchen sink during Thanksgiving, when the repair men finally decided to show up to fix the bathroom sink that was falling off the wall - they also managed to break my kid's bed when they were suppose to be installing blinds. Danny Torgensen called himself coming to fix my kitchen sink, takes a look at it & gives me pliers to turn my water on & off "UNDER" the sink. Said he was missing a part & would return that coming Monday - never saw his face again. These ppl make the word, "SLUMLORD" sound dainty & cute. read more
