Service is as expected they greet you upon entry and ask what you need. I hate to do this because they are really trying to get their reviews up but a few things. I got a gel pedicure and asked for a simple French tip. I asked for the pedicure on their service menu that includes a 5 minute massage which was not given. A brief rub down maybe a minute long per leg. I walked out with the sugar scrub still on the back of my leg. As far as the design goes I think any nail tech should have basics down such as making the nails the same length and shape. Mine were not even after bringing it to her attention she just said that she would file it more. I have been to other salons that can do a French tip really well and fairly quickly. Again to me this should be a basic skill my tech seemed to be having a hard time. Her cart was messy and had lots of open containers that had a variety of different things in them, but were drying out. Her tools were unorganized and she had to check several times if the nail file that she was grabbing was a new one or used. The cuticle cutters were just rolling around in there as well, no clear indication of if they were properly sanitized or not. I was offered a drink as well (complementary) I asked for one thing was given another. The drinks are given in a plastic/acrylic? cup that could have been clean but looked dirty. I would like to assume that it looked dirty from the many times that it had been washed, but again looked dirty. My soda that I was given was also flat so I didn't even want to finish it. I keep coming back to this place trying to give it another shot but every time I am disappointed. It was the only place open around, we were a group of three people, we got the deluxe spa pedicure and supposedly was 10 minutes massage on feet and calves, I don't think it lasted two minutes. The person who worked on me was nice and friendly, the other 2 were quiet and disengaged. What had made my decision to post a review is that I waited over 24 hours to wear closed toe shoes, the nail polish is ruined, chewy, sticky, unbelievably bad!!!! I will never go there again and I won't recommend anyone to go there. The arm rests in the chairs are very dirty by the way. I went in today for nails and I was talked into their tint and wax eyebrow special. I have never done them but seen others and some are so pretty. I am blond and fair skin so I was trying to make it clear to the only lady that could understand English I wanted them thin and light brown. Needless to say I look like a clown, they burned my skin, they are far from light in color and super thick. Never again will I go back took my money as if I should be happy. Frustrating! UPDATE: I was in this salon Saturday at 10:30am and this pic was taken at 1130 am. It's now Sunday at 1:30 and I am still red and irritated from this wax and dye job. I absolutely love this place! It's so clean and so cute the staff is super sweet. All their tools are sanitized, unlike The other place in Elgin that we won't mention. I came in during the week when they weren't too busy, and was seated right away. Johnny did my nails, I showed him a picture from Pinterest and he did an amazing job. The only thing that was kind of odd to me, was when he was, just about done with my nails, (like he literally had two nails to buff and then add shine); Jenny came and made him finish up her client so she could buff my last two nails and add the shine.Iono, maybe it was because I mentioned that this was my first time and she was highly recommended, she wanted to be involved with my first experience.‍ but anyway, I enjoyed my visit they did an amazing job, so amazing that I sent my 14-year-old daughter in to get her nails and lashes done that weekend. I was excited for a new salon and its a flop. Not only are my ankle bones bruised after the foot massage with a pedicure. But it took 2 different people to do ingrowns. Even then didn't get them all and Im in pain still thr next day Paint is chipping this is within a week of going. Spend your money somewhere else. Update: rude new manager. She started attacking me through email saying I was never there. Wants me to take this down cause I'm a liar. That I was never there. She wants my information and details.......but does she actually say sorry it was bad and let us make it up to you. No she just says give me the info and I'll give you a refund. My sister and I enjoyed out time at the salon! Got a simple pedicure and the staff took their time and did a great job with the massage. The prices are very reasonable and affordable! Will say there was an odor when you walk in but you get use to it. My experience was great and we will be back! read more

I went in around 1:30pm on a Friday - it was not as busy which was perfect for me cause I wanted to have a relaxing experience. Unfortunately this place is just average & nothing great. I chose the $38 pedicure which mentioned 10min lotion massage. I had picked this particular package to treat my tired feet and to get a good massage. The guy who did my pedicure was just so disinterested. The lotion 'massage' was hardly 5 min (and not 5min each leg mind you) and there was absolutely NO pressure applied. Also I wanted a sns dip manicure but the lady decided a full set sns service would suit me better - which is fine - however what is not ok is she doing it on my nails when am trying to have a relaxing pedicure. It was so hurried and stressful that I was instantly regretting not driving to my regular nail salon. But the pedicure was really bad anyways so I didn't ask the nail lady to stop and just let her continue. All in all a very dismal experience. I would rather drive all the way to S.Lamar to my regular nail salon if I have to pay $100 for such bad service/experience anyways. Also to be very clear - I don't mind paying the $100 at all but then I expect that level of professionalism and service. You CANNOT charge folks that much money and make the job look like an amateur did it. Pros: The owner understood I didn't like my nails and offered to do it again but I wasn't ready to spend another hour there getting similar service. They did fix 2 of my nails when I showed them it had air bubbles in there. Friendly owner and front desk person. Cons: Too many to spell out again. Just not worth $100 in my opinion. read more

Okay, I was debating since the day I went to write a review. I went not even a week ago. I got a manicure and a pedicure. Nothing crazy. I had two separate ladies work on me. My pedicure was okay, except for the fact that she cut my nails too short (multiple nails,) burned me with a drill (and the area on my toe is still raw and sore,) and with the clear coat, it went well onto my toes, not just nails. This was actually a pretty painful experience and while I understand little knicks can happen here and there, I have a full-blown sore on my big toe which isn't cute and doesn't feel good. My toe nails were also fairly jagged and not smooth on the edges which became super apparent when I got into bed and felt the nail edges scraping on my sheets. The lady also seemed fairly annoyed with my pain which I tried to refrain from wincing too much at. As for my finger nails, I had similar problems. No major burns but she ripped out a hangnail that tore up the side of my nail and caused a bleed. Same problem with the clear coat going on my skin also, and jagged as well as uneven and not nicely shaped nails. I got a light shimmery color and you can see spots where my previous color was at as well, that wasn't fully taken off. I can't even for sure say my polish is gel, because it is a considerably thin layer to be gel which has already started to chip off in less than a week, and I have a wedding this weekend and I went the only day I had time to go. Overall, I see this place having nice flashy designs, but the quality (in my experience,) doesn't seem to be there. I had originally planned on returning to give a second chance as I really wanted a closer nail place, but I honestly have nothing good to say at this point. Super disappointed. read more

I was referred to Legacy Nails. Took my daughter there to get a full set. Experience overall was great! Was told if anything happened to her nails they would fix them...welp my daughter broke two nails while moving her room around. We went back 3 days later with my other daughters and we got 4 pedicures....one full set and they fixed my daughters nails for free! Again service was great and Jennie was amazing! I should have walked out after seeing the lash area at the front of the salon but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The pedicure chair was dirty outside the plastic they put in the basin. The try where you put your drinks or anything else was also dirty. The empty pedicure basin next to me was also dirty. I had to have they lady correct cutting my toenails at an angle. While getting my lashes, the girl kept putting her supplies on my shoulders and chest then put a mini fan on my chest to dry my lashes. And the cherry on top is on the second day my gel polish came off my pinky toe and took half my toe nail with it. Never again. read more

New to Elgin, had to find a nail place for Easter. I was surprised, they took me as a walk in day before Easter. Now I know why they had availability. Should have gotten her name, but the older lady who did my pedi, did not use lotion, massage my feet, legs, no hot towels, no smoothing bottom of feet, all was in their menu with the description. Paid $60 and received a toenail cut and painted my nails in just 20 mins. I could have done that myself and used the money for an Easter hat! Never go back there again.
