The resort is nice but the carpet & furnishings are old & need replacing. It is situated below South mountain. It is close to the Sky harbor airport & minutes from the fwy. We were invited to see a presentation to buy more points at the property & after the presentation we were BADGERED by the sales rep because we wouldn't upgrade. The man got up in a huff.. said something disrespectful & stormed off. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TREATED IN SUCH A FASHION BY A RESORT STAFF MEMBER. Today I was not interested in any more points.. Now I would not recommend the frustration to anyone wanting a relaxing trip. We have come here often & paid for friends & family to come. Not only would I no longer recommend it.. It is doubtful we will return this resort again life is too short to be treated in such a fashion. My reason for not wanting to upgrade was because this property as well as several others in the chain have fallen into disrepair over the years. Most major hotel brands replace carpet, beds appliances regularly, but it has been years(if ever) here. I told them when I actually see that the properties are being better cared for we might consider upgrading.. not now.! If you have to stay in Phoenix during the week, this deal cannot be beat! I was dead tired at the end of my work day when I crashed here, so I can't speak to the amenities, however the room was cool, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly, and the price was unbelievable. I would love to come back with the Mrs. and have a mini-vacation here one day, the cost of a round of golf for guests of the resort is really good, and the rooms include a sink, stove, and even a dishwasher, so it'd make a great mid-week vacation. Also the french toast is excellent... I highly recommend it. read more

The grounds are nice and the rooms well-appointed and relaxing. The pool area is large and relaxing, with a bar for drinks and dippin dots. You can also order food from the clubhouse. The poor bartender also acts as the ice and food runner and it is quite a distance away. Too bad they don't have a better system, as he was frequently running away to grab items while a large line waited for drinks. We still had a great time at the pool with ping pong, life size chess, and a kiddie pool perfect for our son. There is even a great playground and grill area next to the clubhouse on the walk back from the pool. The room decor is a bit outdated but seemingly clean and workable. There is a nice courtyard outside the rooms in each building and a back "porch" which is open to all your neighbors(a bit awkward) if you are in the back of the building. Definitely ask for a room with a golf course view and buildings 10 and 11 have good views and are near the clubhouse. Parking is free and convenient in front of each building. An annoyance is that housekeeping and maintenance take up many of the prime spots with their golf carts while working, even in the evening. When my parents stayed for a month, they had many issues with housekeeping not showing up when promised and broke the glass coffee pot and didn't properly clean the carpet. My son crawled near the kitchenette and was cut by a shard of glass. We also found it odd that you aren't able to charge pool drinks or other purchases to your room. Overall, my parents really enjoyed the comfort of the room and convenience of the location. Scottsdale is down the street, as is the highway to get elsewhere in the valley. read more

My husband and I stayed here for 9 days during Spring Training Baseball. It was a wonderful stay! We requested a room on the top floor, facing the golf course and they grated our request. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary. The room was quiet and peaceful. We loved looking out and watching the wild bunnies, quail, and the occasional golfer. The room was very spacious, the bed comfortable, the shower hot and great pressure. It was great having a flat screen tv, a frig, a large coffee pot, microwave, dishes, etc. The grounds were gorgeous and immaculate! Beautiful trees, flowers and green lawn. The pool was perfect and the restaurant had good food. This place had an open and relaxing feel, and even though it was booked, it was so spacious and spread out, we never felt crowded. There were only three things that were negative. The carpets needed cleaning, the walls are thin, and the Internet a little slow. We checked out 3 days earlier that's how terrible our experience was with this so called resort. Initially check in is was pleasant and the room was decent which had all basic amenities. Walls are thin and you can hear your neighbor's as we were placed on a lower level, footsteps, running up and down the stairs, tv, voices. Day 2 we had to call security for noise issues with zero effects and got no sleep. Day 3 we had the same experience calling for noise control due to wedding party in the area calling multiple times as the noise continued into the early morning hours. Please save yourself the hassle and stay away from this resort as we asked for a new room which could not be fulfilled. read more

This review is also just for the golf course. This course is nice and wide open. The fairways are wide, but there are lots of bunkers. The course winds through a vacation home community and has water stops all along the way. The carts are decent and the surroundings nice. We weren't allowed to rive in the native lands but we fortunately did not need to too often. We booked online and got a voucher for a free hot dog and drink at the turn. There was also a popping pool party going on with a DJ that we could hear and see from one of the holes on the back 9. Would have loved to have jumped in a pool right after the round. read more

I teed up for twilight rate at 215 pm . $53 bucks?!!! But it's worth it. The course is in great shape. I was cruising along until I hit the turn. A couple of group were nice to let me play thru. Fairways are well kept. Tee boxes were in check. The greens although slow, we're puttable ( is there such a word?). I was not able to finish. I want to come back and play the signature holes in the back nine. You have to play this course when in PHX. Public course with a country club feel!! read more

Here's why for the 2 stars: Amenities in room: I'll give you 6 out of 5 for this. Tv, microwave, kitchen sink, dishwasher, fridge, cups, plates, bowls, utensils, stove, washer and dryer, closet, iron and iron board, hairdryer, 2 sinks (one in the bathroom and another on the outside which is really nice), makeup mirror, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and pots and pans. Quality of the room: this will be a -7 out of 5. Yes, negative seven stars because the wall is made out of a piece of paper or cardboard or something because it's paper thin. Even when the next room is wispering, we can hear it. Not to mention when someone snores. They cover it really well though. It looks nice and all, but oh man, it's almost the same as not having the wall. Earplugs recommended. Services (throughout the resort): I'm not going to talk about the front desk yet. That will be another score. Overall, 4.5/5. Everyone (but the front desk) has been nice. The only downside is that they don't have easy access to the housekeeping stuff, so if you choose not to be disturbed, you need to call the front desk and they have to drive their golf carts to drop them off for you. The front desk is located away from all of the rooms (or at least from building 3 to whatever). Front desk: I'd say 2/5. I can see why they don't smile or care as much though because if we need anything, we have to call them. They don't have specific number for housekeeping or other services, so I guess they're overworked. Most of the time when I walk in, there would be only 1 staff. Saw 2 people once. They don't seem to worry about our concerns. I mean, come on, at least pretend to care. Hahaha. Other reviews: facilities look clean. I haven't hit the pool yet so can't review that. As a timeshare owner and frequent visitor I was so disappointed in my recent stay. The supervisor Pam was rude and condescending and didn't care that the previous agent misinformed me. The ladies at the front laughed at me and made me feel horrible threatening to cancel my reservation due to a previous representative of theirs advising my the wrong deposit amount. The pics really don't do the resort justice. They really have to update their online pictures. The rooms are spacious, modern and are nicely decorated. It has a nice kitchenette and the adjoining room to ours had a full kitchen with an island! They all have sofa beds. The grounds are well kept and have activities (golf, swimming in a large u-shaped pool, basketball, volleyball on sand) for all age groups. There's a bar in the pool area for those who like to lounge and drink. Although it wasn't as grand and posh as La Quinta Hotel in Palm Springs, it could be it's sister. As time share owners we are highly disappointed in this place. The customer service and amenities offered has plummeted. We are in Arizona. It is 110 out on a summer Saturday. Not only is the bar not opened due to staffing issues, we can't even bring water down to the pool. Their suggestion is to leave the pool and walk into the restaurant to order drinks. Meanwhile in the restaurant, there is two tables currently filled and they have three waitresses and a bartender. Not only are they losing our money, they are losing our patronage. We will not be coming back here: Arizona is full of so many other choices. Why would we subject ourselves to this? read more

I love coming to Scottsdale when everyone is leaving. Sure, it's 100+ degrees outside but there's NO HUMIDITY. I don't even think I broke a sweat during my round of golf. Even better, I got to play for only $20. What a steal. This golf course was in excellent condition. I love the idea of desert golf. Although my friend said that there are way nicer courses in the area, one can't overlook that I only paid $20 to play. Although I played like an absolute hack, I didn't find the golf course too terribly difficult. The greens can be tricky and the bunkers can be steep and deep but it's a fair course to play for golfers of all levels. More important to me, the grass was green all over, there wasn't a bad lie anywhere on the golf course, and the greens rolled true. They have a nice practice facility with a driving range, putting green, and chipping green. My favorite part of the place... they had music blasting around the practice area. I got a vibe that it's just a fun place to hang out if you were out there just practicing. Staff was friendly. They offered to take our clubs to and from our car. At the end of the round they cleaned my clubs (which I appreciated because this was how I made my gambling money at 15 years old). Overall, a fun place (speaking only on the golf course) and I hope to go back in the future. read more

The resort is part of our Shell Vacations Club ownership and when we visited for just a night in April, we added it to our list of places to come back to for a weekend getaway. We were fortunate to take this getaway August 14th - 16th. This was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. We only left the resort once, and that was to go sample some bbq at Little Miss BBQ just down the road. We took our 18 month old and she couldn't have been happier enjoying the wade pool and the main pool (when daddy gained enough ambition to get off his lazy rear to go for a relaxing swim). This is a beautiful spot. We stayed in a 1 bedroom which came complete with jacuzzi in the bedroom, full kitchen, living room, dining room, full size balcony (we prefer 2nd floor), and bathroom with stand up shower. The room was clean and comfortable. Both the living room tv and master room tv come complete with dvd player, and as we knew it was going to be a hot weekend (114 degrees) we brought movies to watch during the afternoons. The pool, while one large pool, is broken down with two parts, 1 side straight for the lap swimmers, and the other curved for the kids to play around and do their thing. The depth goes to 5ft and diving isn't allowed. There's a seperate wading pool and 2 hot tubs, one in the main pool area and a 2nd around the gate for adults only. There are tennis courts, volleyball area, and playground for the kids. The kids playground was covered so there was no direct sunlight beating down on us. There's a Walmart Essentials close by and we stocked up on food there to supply us through the weekend. This is a timeshare so when you check in, there is some pressure to take a meeting during your stay, but after saying no a few times, we went on with a relaxing weekend. We look forward to another stay in April, during the kids spring break when we can arrange time with the grandparents to fly from Chicago and stay with us. read more

I booked a 2 night stay for some guests of mine. While I was booking the reservation I kept insisting that they not be charged for the stay and to bill my credit card. I was assured by the person taking down the appointment that they wouldn't be charged. My guest just showed me there credit card statement where they were billed for there stay. I called the hotel and they said there's no way to pay using a credit card over the phone. Then who did I give my credit card info too?? Someone who takes there reservations isn't doing there job. Stayed at the resort, did not use the Golf Course. They only clean your room once every 9 days, but they didn't even do ours on the 9th day. We had a cockroach in the bathroom and 9 days of wet towels piling up...not a good combination. The pool was filthy the first time we used it and felt like a warm bath with 60 other people in it. I swam in smaller pools in the area the same week that were cooler in temperature and cleaner, even with the hot sun beating on them. I get that it's Arizona in the summer, so maybe the pool temp can't be controlled, but add that to the dirt, water bottles, cups, lids, coins and other miscellaneous items at the bottom, it just makes it worse. After speaking to management about the problems, I was offered a full clean of the room, which I should've gotten anyway. I pressed for a little restitution, and was offered an appetizer at the restaurant. Instead, I will stay somewhere else next time I vacation in Phoenix, which will be quite often. I never understand a company that will let thousands of future dollars go for the price of an appetizer. The good news is, there are plenty of other places to stay in Phoenix. note* after reading other poor reviews, I see that management inserts a generic response to each one stating that they will "forward the information..." Clearly forwarding the information doesn't do much good, because I see other complaints of bugs and rooms not being serviced. Just more reassurance that I made the right choice to stay somewhere else for my future vacations. ***update*** after killing the cockroach it remained on the bathroom floor, since the cleaning crew was due and I didn't want to touch it. When they didn't show up on the scheduled day to clean and I complained, they came the next day. I specifically mentioned the cockroach. I've been playing at the Legacy Golf resort for more than 20 years and always considered it to be one of the best courses in the valley an dmy go to course for special occasions. But yesterday I played there as a father's day treat to myself. What a shocking and disappointing experience. I don't know what happened but whoever is responsible for the unbelievably awful condition of the course should absolutely be fire. I've never seen a course deteriorate so much in my 37 years of playing golf. It was incredible. I will not return to the Legacy again until I read something that says they found a competent greenkeeper and head pro. This was for many years a real jewel of golf for the Phoenix valley. Now it's just a run down dried up mismanaged crappy muni course that is way over priced for the poor quality golf experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid this course. There are FAR better places to spend your hard earned money. read more

No one was there at the Bag drop off and we didn't know where to go. We walked around building and finally found carts to find no one was there either. Went in to pay and the guy was helpful and fast but 55 dollars in the summer 6 days after greens were done and 9am tee time is outrageous. Thought we could grab a small snack before our tee time and kitchen was open but sure enough, no one there. They do have a good practice area and Marshal to keep the pace going. read more

my experience was horrible. i was supposed to be there from april 10th-12th but i checked in at 4pm saturday april 10th and was asked to leave the premises at 2am saturday. my boyfriend birthday was april 10th and mines april 11th. we had about 8 friends come over starting around 10pm and we started getting complaints about 30 mins later. we made accomodations to each request so much so that everyone left by 2pm when the staff and police arrived asking my boyfriend and i to leave the property all together even after all music was off and all guest had gone. i was also detained and they did not allow us to get all of our thngs. we left all of our birthday items behind along with food. my attorney will be writing either the resort or booking.com a demand letter for a refund. i willnever go to legacy golf resort again. read more

Terrible internet is my biggest complaint but it's a big one. Do not come here expecting WiFi, streaming, or being able to work on your computer. You can't. And the heat in our room didn't work even after 2 trips from service crew. Now hosting a gorgeous space heater?? Wtf? Kids are soooooo disappointed and I simply cannot work from here. For the hype and price one expects reliable amenities; its 2019 and WiFi isn't a luxury any longer. We are hoping to find someplace else to stay within 1-2 days and getting a refund on this failed locale. Really unhappy this is what we're stuck with. read more

TL;DR: Just avoid this place. The customer service is terrible and the amenities aren't open during the week. Customer service is bad enough just stay at one of the similarly priced resorts all over Phoenix/Scottsdale. My father is staying here for a week on vacation. He has been here a couple of times before because it is part of his time share package. He invited me over and we decided to go to the pool during the day when it was hot out. We got to the pool, which is not terrible; however, there are no readily available bathrooms at the pool and the bar wasn't open. If you wanted water or something, get it yourself. Later that night we decided to use the grills that they advertise and make available to guests. We got to the grill area and another guest told us that she had just waited half an hour to receive a propane tank for the grill. We went to the office to ask for a propane tank, and they told us that it would be soon. We waited fifteen minutes and called them back from the grill area. The manager, Tamara, told us she'd check on it and get back to us. We wait another fifteen minutes without hearing from her. We called back only to this time receive curt and condescending responses. Waiting now over half an hour for something that was promised quickly, I went to the office to inquire about the propane again. I talked with Tamara who informed me that she was the manager. I asked questions such as "when should we expect the propane tank?," "where is it being brought from?," and "how is it being brought?" Tamara refused to answer the questions and even laughed at me for bothering to ask. I told her that we had been waiting now almost 45 minutes in the hot, humidity, and mosquitoes (the pond at the golf course brings them in). Tamara did not care at all. Eventually, the engineer (their word for the people who delivered propane tanks) arrived. He handed us the tank so we could connect it ourselves (such service!), and we did so. We tried firing up the grill and it wouldn't work. We asked the guy for help, and after first treating us like we were stupid, could not fix it himself. At that point, the "engineer" snidely remarked "that's just how it works" and stormed off. My father is unlikely to return to the resort, and we recommend you try somewhere else as well. For $150 a night, I would expect to at least not be treated condescendingly by the front desk managers and staff. read more

No matter who gets married here again and how easy it is to stay on site...I will NOT be staying here ever again. The first time my husband and I stayed was for my sisters wedding (the weddings are beautiful and it is a great venue for that). Well we had a downstairs casita and it was a beautiful room-- spacious and clean. Very excited to stay there. That was until our neighbors stayed up until 2am talking and we could hear it all loud and clear. At first I thought they were just being loud and maybe since we were downstairs it was carrying easier to us below. It was so distracting and ruined the atmosphere. I thought why is it so noisy!! Fast forward to last weekend when I had another friend get married. I figured if we requested an upper level casita it would help with the sound. Sorry to report, it did not! We could hear every sound the couple next door made (if you know what I mean), talking, toilets flushing, people going up and down stairs. SO NOISY! you're trying to relax in this nice hotel and it just absolutely ruins it. It's a shame because the views and grounds are beautiful and the room is nice. The TV is small and the TV guide doesn't even load so you can't see what's on. You'd think that's something they could upgrade being a "nice" resort. Anyways. These walls are paper thin and it ruins everything. I will never stay again and I don't really know what they could do but to knock down and rebuild? If I have any other friends get married there I will not be staying no matter how convenient it is. I've stayed in Motel 6s and Best Westerns that are quieter! read more

Sufficiently mediocre hotel. I unfortunately didn't arrive until nearly 1:30 AM, and when I went to use the bathroom discovered the toilet was clogged... aaannd overflowed, causing 2 inches of water to cover the entire bathroom floor. I called the front desk and the first response I got was "you can use the plunger in your room". That's nice enough, but what about the 2 inches of water that are about to ruin the new carpeting in the renovated rooms? They eventually offered to send some security offers to wipe up the floors and bring more towels. So that was nice enough. I'm also not sure if the way we booked the rooms caused this, but please note housekeeping does not come daily. I was in a rush and left towels on the floor and bed, thinking they would get picked up and/or replaced during the day, but when I returned to the room that evening, they were still in the same place. Just something to keep in mind as you're being bratty and consuming way too much as you stay in a hotel. Additionally, we've had issues with the wifi and the tv not working properly. Maybe that's just a one off and we got unlucky? Having a full kitchen and living area, and washer dryer is nice, though. I think the studio rooms are $150 a night or so.. I think that's worth it. Being from NY/NJ, that's a typical price for a nothing hotel room, so maybe I'm skewed in terms of what to expect with hotel prices. read more

It's been 18 months or so since I stayed here on business. Now I remember why. Started off with a dead roach caught in a spider web in the corner by the bathroom. Second night I awoke to the sound of crickets. Not a big deal, right? Except they were under the head of my bed! More specifically between the dust ruffle and the mattress! I killed 2 but a couple got away. And the toilet leaked down, and then refilled- every 5 mins or so. Turned off water valve. Reported the next morning to the front desk and was assured it would be taken care of. Get back after a long day to the very strong smell of pesticide. Must be a good sign, right? Until I hear the toilet refill again. And there are now flying bugs everywhere in the bathroom. I killed at least 20 before calling to be moved. At least they gave me a room across the courtyard but didn't offer to move me. I had to go to the desk, complete more paperwork, and move myself. No offer to comp a night, a meal, or anything else. I won't forget again why I don't stay here. It's a long-in-the-tooth, overpriced, unfriendly dump. Do yourself a favor - stay at the Az Grand or the Chandler Courtyard on Ray. read more

i left some makeup there on the dresser and after i left i was a little far from the resort so I called and said hey i left my make up can i please have someone keep it safe so I can turn around for it.. they apperently said no that i have to log into a website to claim my lost things and if they find them that i will be called .. 4 days later i get an email that they were not found. which turns out they have staff that steal your left belongings.. I will never return to this place they turned my 2 year anniversary into a day i dont want to remember. So if you do go please remmeber to pack everything or it will be stolen by staff and there nothing they will do about it.. I want to preface this review with the disclaimer that I have not actually stayed here. However, I have used the facilities, seen the rooms, and gotten feedback from my parents, husband's mother, my uncle, and my grandmother, who all stayed here. That being said, I think that I can still provide useful feedback to potential guests. My two cents: This is a well-maintained resort with an absolutely gorgeous huge pool that has stunning views of the golf course and of South Mountain. As Jennifer P already mentioned, it is not super-close to anything particularly nice or interesting (except for The Farm at South Mountain, which is literally next door and features a great breakfast eatery, a decent sandwich place, and a oft-written-about dinner restaurant serving cuisine that features locally grown and sustainable ingredients), but is definitely centrally located and convenient (by freeway) to downtown/central Phoenix and Tempe and close to South Mountain (for hikers). Also, if you live in South Phoenix (like I do) and have relatives in town, this is by far the nicest place in the area that you can suggest and has a calmer, more adult-oriented feel than the Arizona Grand Resort (which is on the border of South Phoenix and Tempe). As far as the rooms and noise level, none of my relatives mentioned any problems. The rooms (all suites) were well-maintained, clean, and all had kitchenettes. One major drawback is that because of the all-suite setup, which features about 10 different buildings (labeled with letters), you can end up in a room that is really far away from the lobby and pool. When we went over to swim with my grandma, we ended up driving from her room to the pool area! As I already mentioned, the pool is gorgeous and we spent an enjoyable few hours by it. We were a little dismayed, however, that the bar had a sign listing its daytime hours but wasn't open at 4 pm when it said it would be. None of my husband's or my relatives paid more than $120 to stay at the resort (most likely due to the fact that fewer people decide that Phoenix is the ideal August travel destination!), and given that they all wanted a place to stay that was comfortable, clean, and attractive, as well as close to our South Phoenix home, it worked out quite well for them. However, I can see how someone traveling to the area who doesn't have friends or relatives in South Phoenix (or have a strong interest in simply golfing and swimming at the resort) would be disappointed to pay $300 to stay here. read more

came to this resort with lowered expectations after Hawaii. We were very pleasantly surprised. The casitas seem recently redone and are very pretty and spacious. I like the way the second bedroom is separated, and the bathrooms are incredible--big jacuzzi tub, large showers, 3 sinks in the one bedroom, lots of counters, etc.. The kitchen is smaller than most, and has almost no cabinet space--for your own food or even their bowls plates, stacked in one big pile on a skinny shelf. However, the appliances are good. The washer dryer combo is in the kitchen, which is one big room with the living room and dining room and the noise interferes with conversation. It sounds like I'm complaining, but I'm just being thorough. The resort is truly lovely and the casitas are great. We were disappointed with the facilities and activities. You come here for the golf, the golf, and the golf. It's a beautifully maintain course and is very forgiving, so you can just enjoy playing. It's also reasonable--$39/18 holes! (at least in late May). Be sure to get an early tee time--it's hot here! The gym is fairly well equipped and was pretty empty during our stay. However, there are virtually no other activities. The fitness center told me that they have board games and one art/craft activity a day--and we wonder why our nation's children are unhealthy, unfit and obese? The paucity of activities seems typical of Shell Resorts, but in Hawaii, there was at least one adult fitness class each day. One nice thing they did in the fitness center is provide a great list of neighborhood 3 mile walk routes and other area hiking opportunities. We did not go to the restaurant, though we heard it was good, but found great ones within 20-30 minutes. The shopping nearby is very minimal--a poorly stocked Food City, a Target, Starbucks, but there is plenty more within 15 minutes or so. read more

Let me start with saying that my family has stayed at this resort for many years and have always loved the suite rooms. I reserved a room for the 4th weekend at a great price! I was excited to stay there again and enjoy some R&R. They have been closed for months due to the covid issue so this was their 1st weekend opened to my knowledge. The staff was friendly at the front desk, we were in and out, no issue. Got to our room and the 1st smell when you open the door was a faint smell of weed. then we see silverware drying on a paper towel on the counter, I hear the tv on in the bedroom and see the remote on the middle of the bed and Goldie locks had definitely laid on that bed! There was used bar of soap in the bathroom and trash in the recycle bin! THIS IS CLEAN AND READY!? We call to the desk immediately and they say they will move us to another room. 15min later...... Fast forward to now and I check my credit card statement and there is 150$ more than expected?! I call down there to see why and its a security deposit. Ok, I get that, the part that irks me is that was never mentioned at the front desk (see the first statement I made about the desk) 2nd it takes 10-14 days to go back on my card??? Who's paying that interest for the 14 days you hold on to my money?! Overall this was very disappointing. you have been closed for months how are the rooms not ready? the pool closes at 4pm EVERYDAY so when you check in you already cant use it. might be awhile till I go back again. read more

This review is just for the golf course. Looks like some people have already reviewed the course under resort listing, so I'll just put it here. I just love playing at the Legacy. Something about the place leads to a great day for me and my friends every time we're out there. As other reviewers mentioned, the course is in great shape year round. The course itself is fun, no gimmicky stuff, but still has lots of character. Very playable, but the bunkers can really get to you. The practice facility is one of the better ones in town, too. Overall, it's a great golf facility. Good staff, good F&B, great course, and very good practice area. The rates get high in season, but good deals can still be found via golfnow.com. I've scored some $40-50 rates in peak season as a twosome. Summer rates go for about $30 on golfnow. Some may not see the Legacy as a 5-star facility, and that's understandable, but it's consistently a great time out there and I feel it deserves it. read more

I actually haven't golfed here yet but have stayed a few times. The place is quite large with lots of condos or rooms. The rooms are very well maintained and nicely furnished. The location is conveniently located to get to the airport or downtown. read more

This resort is owned by Shell Vacations Club. They are now a subsidiary of Wyndham Vacation Resorts out of Orlando, Fl. Some of these units have been refurbished recently and we stayed in one. They have replaced the flooring, curtains, and some furniture as well as the appliances. The new units are nice. They have good looking rust Travertine tile on the bathroom floor and in the shower. The beds here are comfy, the pillows inadequate. There are enough towels to handle a rifle squad and there's good lighting in the rooms. The grounds are landscaped nicely. There is a communication break between the front desk and housekeeping. The manager does not answer her phone and the front desk clerk is unable to reach housekeeping. Our maid came by while we were dressing, then was unreachable the rest of the day. The golf course pro shop is extremely small and is attached to the dining room. This entire complex is like an afterthought. The front desk is next door and you have golfers parking in front of the registration area which leaves no room for new guests to sign in. The original developer was asleep at the wheel and it reflects badly on the resort. read more

If you need a place to stay. This is a place to stay. Compared to other options in Phoenix & Scottsdale, this is old tired and not as nice. The area is a bit commercial and run down. The grounds of the resort are well maintained, but outside of the gates, it's a bit depressing. Unimpressed with check in and management follow up. If you don't golf, you could just as well stay at a suite hotel. With Phoenix traffic, you are a good drive from many good options for dining or entertainment. Our view from our patio gave a good opportunity to keep a good eye on the parking lot. There are many much better options available in the Phoenix area. read more

GOLF REVIEW ONLY I picked up a Groupon to play the Legacy golf course and it was well worth it. Greens were in good shape, fairways were nice for the most part (mushy in a few spots), and overall a mix of fun and challenging. The carts were in great shape and the water stations were full, what else can you ask for when it's 100+? read more
