But, he doesn't know what is going on with the budget and doesn't care as long as you pay. He does not manage anything but charges you for everything. But the minute you question him, the "nice guy" goes out the window and he becomes very unprofessional and claims he does not remember saying this or that. Two complete sides to this man. Laughs when he thinks he can screw you over. Tries to portray himself as something he is not. Would never recommend. There are too many honest people out there to ever consider this guy. The workers are good enough but the owner is, again, very manipulative, and is out for as much money as he can squeeze out of you. This isn't his first rodeo and if you trust him at all, he will try to play you for a fool. Spare yourself the headache and choose someone else.

Once they have your money, good luck. Bring your own realtor. They will be your only advocate…read more The Jones Co's. in-house sales team (while friendly) have no power over the company and will do you no favors when it comes to any hiccups or problems. Their lending partnerships incentives can also most likely be matched. Again; HAVE YOUR OWN REAL ESTATE AGENT if you are dealing with this builder. They are cheap and all about cutting corners. Our house build quality is "Okay". We do have neighbors with nightmare stories. We have our own that I will not share. The Jones rep responsible has since been fired. If you are local to your build area, stay on top of the manager in charge of your build. Ask tons of questions and visit A LOT. I wish we could have (we were out of state). We've had to redo our ENTIRE landscaping (sod, shrubs, trees) due to lack of soil preparation and embarrisingly bad planting practices. Our neighbor had his sod laid directly over empty plastic water bottles. The subcontractos they hire are obviously on the cheap and Jones isn't on top of them. Make sure your build manager is. As stated by another new community buyer; the construction zone has been a nightmare. We expected it to be bad, but nearly 2 years in they have yet to surface our poorly graded street which after each rain turns into a muddy lake at it's lowest point (our only access). The mud and construction runoff are simply out of control. . We begged them to change the construction entrance to the unoccupied part of our subdivision. It was only after the on-site Jones employees trucks were getting pounded by the same silt and dust that our home was that that changed. Prior to that, dump trucks and subcontractors were careening up and down our streets at ridiculous speeds We have many small children in our neighborhood and some parents took it upon themselves to physically stop the vehicles and demand that they slow down. Lots of cheap builders special finishes: Switches, switchplates, PAINT. vanities, toilets. Did i mention PAINT? The concrete work througout our developement is mostly terrible. This company is so bad that in a newer section of our development, they laid driveways and sidewalks in front of a section of homes that didn't have utilities running to them yet. Under normal building practices this would have been a costly mistake, but I'm sure Jones Co. still came out ahead with it's cheap hiring standards. Good luck.

The subdivision is under construction, and we knew this going in. We were promised that all the…read moreconstruction crews, equipment, and vehicles would have their own entrance, and use it so as not to disrupt the neighborhood. However, after a few weeks, we noticed they were utilizing the main roads, dirtying them up, as well as one of the big rigs ran over our lawn. My husband also ran over a nail due to the construction crew utilizing the main roads rather then their construction entrance. "Well we cant enforce whether they use these entrances..." yet prior to moving in they PROMISED us we'd barely see them due to them using their "own" entrances... We have leaks in the roof after less then 4 months of living here!!! When we called and asked about the warranty, we were shut down and weather was blamed versus the craftsmanship. We hired and had to pay out of pocket for a contractor to come out and determine it was in fact a faulty roof, and are now trying to get the Jones company to fix it, and were told we won't get reimbursed the $200 we paid to see why it was leaking... We had a punch list of items before we moved in, and of the 30-40 items on it, TWO of them were actually fixed. When we asked about the rest, they said they have a year to fix it. Since we've moved in, an area that's adjacent to our property, and under the JONES Co jurisdiction, doesn't properly drain. Every time it rains, the drain backs up onto our property, and floods our yard. We've contacted them 10+ times and requests to fix the drainage issue, and they ignore us every time. It's ruined our lawn, and causes an extreme amount of bugs due to the standing water. When the weather got colder, our first time turning on our heater, it didn't work. Turns out they didn't prep the system, and also criss crossed the wires (an improper install) so that the heater wasn't even hooked up. Easy enough fix, but what kind of contractors are they hiring when they can't even hook up the wiring correctly? We had to repaint the walls, due to the CHEAP paint they use inside the house. I had set a broom against the wall while cleaning, and it slide down the wall when it fell over - that very slight pressure caused the paint to chip, and create a mark on the wall. Seriously? No durability to the chosen paint! It marks and scuffs at barely ANY pressure. Our carpet had nails and tacks sticking out all over. We stepped on it multiple times, and had to call the company numerous times to remove them. Within less then 2 days of moving in, we had the carpet coming up in multiple areas. Again, this was a contractor they hired ... but how embarrassing? The home hadn't even had any wear in it, and already the carpet was coming up, unraveling, and wasn't even attached in numerous places!! You could literally find corners in the room where you could pull up the carpet due to it not being properly installed. We opted for a higher end tile for our master bathroom, and they gave us THE WRONG COLOR!!!! We chose the style they had in their Franklin office, it was a tile that looked like wood planks. We pointed out what we wanted the exact shades they used in the office, which was a series of rustic brown/beige colors. When they installed it, we got grey tones, which didn't match any of the other bathroom fixtures. When we pointed this out, they refused to acknowledge their mistake. Furthermore, we were charged a set amount for this particular upgrade based on the size of the model home bathroom. However, because they had to resize and take square footage away from our Master Bathroom - they never reflected this in the price we were charged. We questioned them numerous times, and they never answered the question and said "It still required the same amount of flooring" ... we compared prints, and our master bathroom was significantly smaller then what we initially anticipated, and the cost of the tile floor should have reflected that. The did a horrible job caulking the bathrooms. During an inspection before we moved in, we pointed it out - we were promised it would be fixed prior to our move in, and it wasn't done. We were told to wait for our 90 day warranty inspection. Had to live 3 months with a technically unfinished bathroom, and be careful as to not cause damage due to their bad caulk job. They promised everything to make the sale, and then once they do, your a nuisance if you're trying to get them to keep their word and guarantee of craftsmanship. The staff we've encountered has been unbelievably rude, and unhelpful. Do not, I REPEAT, DO NOT purchase a home with this company. They ruin everything out of owning a brand new home, don't care about you as a client once the funds hit their account, and overall have been nothing but a nightmare. We've been here roughly 4ish months, and are already contemplating selling the home come next summer.
