Service Street Tire & Auto Repair

After a frustrating experience elsewhere, Service Street in Castle Rock provided exactly what we…read moreneeded--fast, thorough, and professional service. Our Jeep Gladiator had a cracked oil reserve, a serious issue that required immediate attention. Unlike the previous shop that wasted our time and sent us away twice, Service Street got us in the same day, performed a comprehensive inspection, and had the truck fully repaired and back on the road in under six hours. What stood out was their expertise and transparency. The team not only walked us through the repairs but also mentioned that, despite only being open for a year, they've already seen over 30 Jeep Gladiators come in with the exact same issue. Given how common this problem appears to be, it raises serious questions about whether Jeep should be addressing this as a recall issue. Beyond the immediate fix, Service Street stands behind their work with a 3-year, 30,000-mile warranty, giving us long-term peace of mind. While we didn't expect to switch service providers, the lack of professionalism at our previous shop forced our hand--and we're glad it did. For anyone with a Jeep Gladiator--or any vehicle--looking for reliable, knowledgeable service, we highly recommend Service Street. They've earned our trust, and they'll be our go-to from now on.

Jiffy Lube - Open bays for oil changes

If you want your oil change done wrong, go here. I recently changed oil in our vehicle after the…read morelast change done by Jiffy Lube -- my wife who knows nothing about cars decided to take it here instead of just letting me take care of it like I normally do. Jiffy Lube left the washer off the oil drain plug, then over-torqued it to make it not leak since the washer was missing! They also didn't bother opening the oil canister drain and replacing that O-ring like they were supposed to (WTH, the small o-ring COMES with the new filter -- guess they just threw it away?). Then adding insult to injury, they didn't bother resetting the maintenance interval. I ended up changing the oil with only 2000 miles because the oil change maintenance message came on. After I had changed the oil I pulled the sticker Jiffy Lube puts on the window and happened to look at it. Come on, resetting oil maintenance on vehicles with a maintenance computer is a STANDARD PART of an oil change! It's even called out in the maintenance manual. But hey, if they can't put on a drain plug washer -- and somehow think torquing down way beyond specs is OK...how could I expect them to do something simple like resetting computer? Go somewhere else.

So. I just got my first oil change somewhere other than jiffy lube. I went to Christian Brothers…read moreAutomotive in Castle Rock and let me say this. They are professional, honest to a fault, and WAY LESS EXPENSIVE! So, you get a better job at a lower cost! Don't go to jiffy lube....

I have been searching for a local shop to handle oil changes and minor maintenance work for my son's Subaru and I think my search is now over. As I stated, I just needed an oil change for my son's car (synthetic oil) and Nate and the guys in the back took care of that in record time. I had an appointment at 2pm and the mechanic came out at 2:25 to let me know the scheduled work was completed. My son mentioned that his A/C had been blowing warm recently, and the mechanic said he could take a look at it now. Before I knew it, the A/C had been topped off and it still wasn't the top of the hour. All I can say is fantastic service from this shop. $70 for a synthetic oil change for the Subie, plus the additional cost for A/C service. I did make an appointment for this visit, but I saw many others coming in as I waited to drop of vehicles for future service. If you're local to Castle Rock and seeking a shop you can trust, I highly recommend ColorAuto Service and Repair.
