Not sure what all the bashing reviews are about. We stopped in for lunch. Just happened across this place as we had nowhere particular in mind. It was 12:00 and we wanted to have somewhere to sit and visit without having to feel rushed. It was not busy. I think the lunch crowd is not their big draw. It's a clean modern woody industrial vibe. Loved the use of the cement walls and the curtains. Also the open air front and outside sidewalk table areas were nicely spaced. Friendly chatty wait staff. I ordered something I've never tried before! A bacon scallop sandwich. With Caesar side salad. The sandwich consisted of Garlic marinated scallops, thick cut bacon, braised greens, garlic citrus aioli on house-made roll with side of spicy dipping sauce. Wow. It was really good! Check out my photos. Food came on nice wooden plates and was plated well. We really enjoyed our lunch. Will defiantly give it a second go! I want to try the grilled shrimp cocktail. read more

It's all about the woodwork in here. Bar, stool seats, long picnic tables, big walls of sound-baffling decorative boards. They're clever with that, by the way--even with concrete floors and lots of hard surfaces, it's not cacophonous in here at all. The wood (and the decorative draperies) keep things pleasant. It's somewhere between a gastropub and a good restaurant with a good bar. They have a cocktail lineup, and some nice wine, but the focus of the bar is the taplist, and most of the menu pairs particularly well with beer. They had a bunch of hoppy stuff, beautiful lagers, fruity stuff, sour stuff, funky stuff, and a couple other things. All 5 of us got a couple different things, with no repeats, and every pour was in perfect shape--clean, cold, sparkling. Nice glassware too. Service was quick and pleasant, and always moving (they're doing good business, especially with the added sidewalk patio). We had a burger, patty melt, fingerling potatos, grilled shrimp, pretzel knots, and caesar salad. Everything was just what we wanted, and those potatoes are definitely in the conversation for the best potatoes you've had. Seriously. And back to that woodwork thing...most of the serving plates here and dark wood platters. It's got a really cool early-60s-ish vibe happening. I'm glad I didn't read these reviews before going here last night. Great food and beer! Wonderful service and a great addition to downtown Edmonds. Going out is going to be more expensive because guess what...the overhead costs are becoming more expensive for businesses. This is a SMALL business that is located in an area that is most likely expensive to be. If you want a less expensive meal go to a local chain restaurant like Applebees and leave your negativity there. The complaining reviews about the atmosphere made me laugh. Of course there are going to be people that annoy you in public. The man next to me on the long shared table went a took a few puffs and came back very pungent. Is this the restaurants fault? Nope! It's a rare occasion to go on date nights these days, and with Covid we don't feel comfortable eating inside. Leftcraft was the perfect spot! The outdoor heaters kept us warm and happy. There's 2 tables available on the patio (where we sat) and two covered shelters next to the side walk. They don't take reservations, it's a first come first serve basis. My wife ordered the Surf and Turf, a healthy, delicious bowl with scallops, prawns and pork belly, brown rice, bokchoy and ponzu sauce. I ordered the Main Street Burger with a side of potato salad. The side was a heaping size, complimenting the tannery sauce on my burger well. My wife loved the grilled seafood (vs pan fried) which gave the seafood more taste! The service was quick as can be expected now, and everyone had a great attitude! I don't think the negative reviews are fair, they're doing the best they can in a pandemic. I've been to Leftcraft 3 or 4 times. The ambiance is nice, they allow dogs on their heated patio, and the servers are attentive and personable. I think their prices are high for their wines by the glass and the food is meh. We had Bloody Mary's once that were average. I tried the pear blue cheese flatbread which was bland. The crust is below average. The beet salad doesn't have enough beets to be called a beet salad. The Cesar salad is boring. The mini twice baked potatoes should be called micro twice baked potatoes. The grilled shrimp cocktail was good. The mac and cheese was dry and bland. Overall the food is aesthetically nice, but bland and overpriced. The only thing that brings us back is that we can bring our dogs and the servers. They're informal and kinda treat you like an old friend. read more

I walked past the Leftcraft during construction and wondered who could afford that? During Covid too. Must have felt like bad timing to be an owner. Now it's a beautiful space. Edmonds has upgraded Main St and Leftcraft shines over (or over shines?) the more kitchy Loft, next door. The difference is, the Loft has always felt like a hands-on owned bar. A balance between quality, personality and value. Leftcraft seems like someone had grand plans, a chunk of money to do it right, but maybe didn't have first hand experience in the industry and now have left it for the next shiny thing they can afford. The food is commissary-kitchen / catering pretty but seems reheated on demand. Two of the staff behind the kitchen prep bar seem busy but it doesn't feel like they are making anything. The bartending is okay, but again, feels formulaic. Almost pre mixed, pre measured and probably carefully counted by some bartending inventory system. This place has potential, however my sense is an absentee ownership collided with plenty of investment income and maybe have moved on to other pursuits and left the place to the loyal staff to run. Potential is great. Performance is sub par. A solid 3 stars. Good beer though. And with hope some improvement to bring us back. After three visits it's now off the list. read more

We have given Leftcraft multiple chances. Every time we have been, we have left saying they have so much potential but it was such a let down. And now after 5 chances, it is what it is. Their service is very hit and miss, we have had good service and AWFUL service to the point. Food wise, it is extremely overpriced and the food is not anywhere close to worth it. Their burgers are 20 bucks and they are the driest burgers I have ever had, not to mention they are small and served with chips rather than fries. I have yet to try something that was good enough to order again and worth the price. Lastly, I would consider this a spot for families. Loud, large tables, casual, bland/basic food...expect they don't have high chairs? And they seem annoyed when kids are there. My suggestion, get high chairs and embrace families and kids. Leftcraft ALWAYS has open tables on the weekend when everywhere else is full. Needs some quality control, as I was told it "just depends on the potatoes we get". After talking to our server, the kitchen gave me two more bites. If you've read the reviews, you can see that this place is hit-or-miss on some of its features. Unfortunately, we were there on a "miss" day. Leftcraft is a great concept in a great location. Their menu is great, and their food is also great - when it's served properly. Husband loved his king salmon sandwich with potato salad and it looked amazing. My order was their signature salad which has salmon, scallops and shrimp with mixed greens. When it arrived I didn't see the seafood and assumed it was hidden in this rather bodacious salad. I did not find any and pointed out to the bartender, who said he "thought it looked a little naked." First clue: server wasn't tuned in at all to ensure the order was correct. The kitchen was then on point to cook up the seafood to complete the order. Now, I have cooked seafood and it might take 5-7 minutes tops, but I waited nearly 20 minutes for 3 baby scallops, 3 shrimp and about 4-5 oz salmon. Did I mention we were the only customers at this point? When it arrived the tail was left on one shrimp but not all. Do it all or don't. Upon checking out, I asked the server if I was expected to pay for this salad and he said nothing, took my card and charged us for the total meal. SO. Go there because it's a neat place with lots of taps and good food, but don't have any expectations about the service, staff competence, or fairness. read more

The food menu has some delectable-sounding names/descriptions - but unfortunately, it doesn't translate to the actual item once it arrives at your table. Potato bites: barely warm and obviously prepared too far in advance; pork belly Mac & cheese: pork belly was cooked to death and tasted like overdone roast; and we were REALLY looking forward to trying the cornbread - but unfortunately it was so dry and crumbly you couldn't even pick it up, let alone spread honey butter on it. A $22 kimchee bowl with not so spicy kimchee, very little gochujang sauce that was not spicy, rice that was very dry, finely shredded carrots and daikon typically in Vietnamese dishes had no flavor and is such a strange pairing. Just a very strange and disappointing dish. The beef had flavor but that's about it. My friend looked at my dish and said it didn't look good. He was right :(. Great casual restaurant in downtown Edmonds. My husband and I decided to try it out on Sunday. Nice atmosphere and beautiful woodwork used to define areas. Really like the family style seating. Every table was dirty when we entered so we waited for one to be cleared. There was only 1 waitress and the bartender to help customers. We gave our order and excitedly waited for our order. We ordered the twice baked potatoes. It said that they were small Yukons. when it can we both laughed. There were 4 of the smallest half potatoes I have ever seen for $14! And they didn't knock my socks off with flavor. We then had a salad. It was generous and delicious. Fresh and flavorful. And finally we had the 1/2 Chicken $26, it was ok. A little dry and the vegetables served with it were unidentifiable. The flat bread was very good. The bartender was amazing. Aware of customers and very efficient. The waitress was useless. Went last Sunday to meet friends. Leftcraft, literally, does not have enough staff to serve its patrons. One server for at least eight parties. I was a little late meeting my friends but at least the server had been to the table to take their drink order. Took another 20 minutes for the server to bring their drinks and take my drink order. (Two ice tea and soda.) Since we knew that he was the only server we just gave him our food order (two burgers and a soup/salad) and then waited. And waited.... And waited... It was roughly 30 minutes for the burgers and soup/salad to show up. Not impressed. Soup/salad - Less than a cup (8oz) of soup. Not sure exactly why type of soup it was trying to be. LOL!!!! Salad meh. Starting to wilt. Main St Burger - Nothing special. Burnt bun. Grilled Chicken Burger - Again burnt bun, but chicken grilled to the point of where a portion was hard as a rock. And to add insult to injury, the bill. $60 after tax. Definitely not worth it. It's a cool looking place but won't be going back for lunch/dinner. May try Happy Hour especially considering the HH menu looks better than rest of the menu. Would go back to try the bowls, if there was an option to the sprouted brown rice. I stopped in at Leftcraft for an early dinner on Sunday. I do have to say the ambiance and design of this restaurant is amazing. It is a great place to stop in and get drinks and relax on a summer day. They have an amazing tap menu, with something for just about anyone. The service was great and they were very knowledgeable. We got the Bacon Scallop Sandwich and the Beef Kimchi Grain Bowl, the sandwich was ok and the grain bowl I wouldn't get again, I found it was very dry and underwhelming. Came here for the first time last night. It's in a great area with lots of walkable shops to check out. Great food with a lot of healthy options. I'm on a bit of a health kick recently so i didn't have a drink but their bar selection is also impressive. Our server told us they make everything in house, including their bread! I got the tofu bowl which was amazing. Loved the combo of all the ingredients. I don't do cucumber, so i subbed out the cucumber kimchi for the daikon carrot slaw. The sauce has just the right amount of heat too. My friend got the Leftcraft salad and also loved that. I'll definitely be back again soon. read more

The app was the pretzel knots - 4 small pieces for $9. Guess I expected a little more for that price. The drink was $12 for a 12 oz pour. Kids' cheeseburger came without the cheese. Not a big deal, but still not great. One of the main dishes, a burger, was completely wrong (brought out a different dish) and it took over 20 minutes for the replacement. Ended up eating a little and taking the rest to go since the rest of my family had already finished eating before it even came out. All in all, not terrible food, but also not great. For food we had the beef kimchi bowl and the surf and turf bowl. Super fresh, flavorful and satisfying. Both felt like healthy options and we were pleased to see them on the menu. Dangit. I have been waiting with so much anticipation for Leftcraft to open and it just wasn't what we'd hoped...if I could give another half star I definitely would because I think there's promise. The atmosphere is awesome, I love the dark walls and wood beams. My drink, the Beekeeper, was great, I love honey in drinks and while it had a jalapeño too, it wasn't spicy until the last sip which was perfect. My date had an IPA that was good too. We had read reviews to know the COVID call ahead to get on the waiting list, only stay for 90 minutes plan so there were no surprises there. We got a table by the wall and were told to both sit on the same side instead of across from each other which kind of made my laugh. Of course my husband was overjoyed because he would sit that way in every restaurant if it were up to him...I prefer sometimes to eat without his elbows up in my grill or him snuggling me and my food but ya know, I love him and we were on a date so it should be fine for me to get nice and close...just kidding, it was fun and we got to watch the bartender and had a view of the baseball game on TV. We tried the twice baked potatoes from the Bites menu, they were good, small portion but lots of flavor. He had the Leftcraft salad and I got the Beef Kimchi bowl. My bowl was pretty good, but again it just seemed like the plan was there but they missed the full execution. Good flavors but I wanted to be wowed. It had a ton going on, pickled veggies, good sauce, lots of meat, brown rice, which left me expecting that special excitement and uniqueness when I saw and ate it. While I don't think it was sitting in the kitchen long I expected it to be way hotter and fresher tasting when it got to the table. All the doors were wide open and it was a little chilly so bring a sweater. I actually think sitting outside would be warmer since there are heaters. Guessing the open doors is going to continue with COVID and they are clearly designed to be a garage door/open patio type restaurant anyway. We are thinking we will go again maybe just for drinks and an appetizer? I am willing to keep trying for sure, Edmonds needs this place and I hope it'll just get better with time. read more

If you like big, bold flavors this is the spot for you. Personally the food was a little too intense for me, but I prefer things more subtle. The service was friendly if not super attentive, and the décor and vibe was very chill: modern, minimal, lots of wood, music playing but not loud enough to disrupt conversation. They have a great selection of ciders and beers (and kombucha) on tap, and their happy hour menu looks like it's a good value (weekdays 3-5.) Glad I tried it, and while it's not on my list of faves it's definitely worth checking out. read more

First off - beautiful aesthetic! Outdoor seating has two tables with a heater. Wished we could enjoy the indoor for the ambiance but obviously due to covid it means we will be back!
