I absolutely loved the slow drive in. I was greeted by a super friendly golden retriever when I stepped out of my car. And otherwise didn't come into contact with anyone else which makes sense since it's on an honor system. I was looking for wreaths that I saw on their Instagram and found beautiful succulent filled pumpkins and other treats instead. I am looking forward to adding this stop to my Pescadero day trip itinerary which includes Fish tacos at the gas station, artichoke bread from the deli, and Harley Farms goat cheese.

Even her tattoos were a total match in this ensemble. No wonder there is always a long line of people trying to get their bouquets there and by the end of the farmers' market time (around 8 pm) you don't find anything left. Aside from the tour of the property they also had u-pick apples, a pumpkin patch, a small farm stand set up, and the option to buy lunch. We opted in for the lunch because everything (aside from chicken) was made with ingredients from the farm! It was cool to see exactly where all of the produce that we got to enjoy came from. In fact, as the name would suggest, it's more of a Gourmet food store and Gift Shop than a Chocolate Shop. Right when you walk in the door you are surrounded by an astonishingly large variety of items that would make the perfect gift for a loved one, or for yourself. How long had I been staring at that Almond Bark? How many times had she tried to get my attention? I had no idea. I tried to play it off like there was nothing going on between me and that Almond Bark. I casually inquired about some Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt on a totally different shelf in the display case. Then, of course, I had to buy a couple of those Chocolate Covered Carmels with Sea Salt, to cover up the whole situation with me and the Almond Bark. I purchased a couple ordinary, un-chocolate covered Caramels with Sea Salt too. The woman behind the counter couldn't have been more gracious. She didn't let on that she knew exactly what was happening and I wasn't fooling anyone with the whole Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt charade. What I received when expecting a $300 platter was a rather plain circle of sliced vegetables with dip on a compostable saucer and two small dishes. the $275 charcuterie platter was better composed, but not mind-blowing. Secondly, the order was expected at 12:15pm, and wasn't ready as she was still working on it past 12:50. This made me miss key important parts of my event, the guests arrivals, and late in picking up other catered items which got cold. I got no phone call or text letting me know the order was going to be late and it ruined a key portion of my event.

No exceptions. I guess that explains why it's so small on an open lot across from Arcangeli Grocery where they sell those awesome artichoke bread loaves.
