We missed him like crazy and worried about how he was feeling. Dennis actually had us come in halfway through, showed us what Carson had been learning, and said something that I keep thinking about: Carson wasn't missing us. Not because he doesn't love us, but because dogs live in the now. He was busy, focused, doing his thing. We felt so much better after that. Carson came home happy and calm and confident. He understood the rules and felt good about it. And he wasn't (as our son put it) a "bot" now - he was the same sweet and goofy pup but now, he could follow instructions and maintain self control when we needed him to. The staff were also straight with us about the fact that he'd have setbacks. That's normal. They spent a lot of time explaining what you do when it happens. In fact, they spent almost an entire day with all the families at graduation - going over what the dogs learned, getting you hands on practicing how to do it, answering questions, and really teaching a ton of helpful information. We're about to set up our in-home training visit, which will be for all of us, including our three kids - really great to get everyone aligned with Carson's training. The Dog Knowledge is fantastic! We are members now and plan to board our dog with them whenever we go on vacation. I cannot imagine trusting any place like we trust them.

Ashe at 6 months of age can be a bit of a handful , but Lindsey took the time to understand his behavior and tailored the training to his needs. After just two weeks, we noticed Ashe's confidence soar. Ashe is now much better behaved at the park, and he's responding wonderfully to commands like "sit," "place," "heel," and "come." This is the second dog I put through Off Leash K9 Training, and they truly help build trust between you and your pup. It allows you to take your pup into the world and enjoy life rather than sitting at home alone. I also love how Lindsey emphasizes the importance of consistency and makes sure we're practicing the right way at home. I feel so much more confident as a dog owner, and Ashe seems happier too! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Charlotte to anyone looking to strengthen the bond with their dog and improve both their quality of life and behavior!

She edited her videos so we could see a lot of what they worked on each day. Claire really understood Shadow and his needs. At pick up, she did a great job explaining everything to us, guiding us on how to follow through at home, and loving on Shadow one last time. You could tell he was sad to leave her. Claire was so encouraging and loving towards him. Shadow's been home less than a week and because of Claire, he is behaving so much better. He's been able to off leash and not jump on people he's greeting. Thank you so much Claire and Off Leash K9 Charlotte!

We found ourselves in quite the predicament, as he was too young to board at a kennel. We reached out to Doris and she made a special exception to accept him into her board and train program when he was only 10 weeks old... When she dropped him off after the program was complete, we had an 11.5 week old puppy housebroken and sleeping through the night with no crate accidents. What surprised me the most is that he patiently waits for you to open his crate and invite him out, he waits for you to invite him to go through the front the door and also waits in his "place" while you get his food ready. In addition to being such a patient sweet boy, he also knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, shake, spin right, spin left, leave-it, play hide and seek, and stay!! She also introduced him to swimming in her swimming pool and socialized him with multiple safe dogs and people. She was very responsive, professional and kept us posted daily on his progress and adventures. We felt at ease knowing he was in such a loving home. This is truly her passion and it shows through the wonderful work she did with sweet Chewy. We LOVE Doris and can't recommend her enough!

In just a couple…read moreof hours of training, we saw big shifts in her focus, regulation, and our own confidence. It felt immediately practical and grounded, not overwhelming or overly rigid... and actually, fun! One of the biggest takeaways was learning how to use the growl/bah cue as a simple "focus on me" signal, paired with really big, enthusiastic praise when she listens or offers good behavior. That combination alone made a noticeable difference in how quickly she engages and settles. Patrick also gave us clear daily practices to work on, especially around reducing attention-seeking behaviors, managing front door and doorbell excitement, helping her place and settle, and most importantly supporting her adrenaline and impulse control. It all feels doable and structured without being stressful. On top of the training itself, Patrick was also incredibly helpful in guiding us through a diet transition for Bondi. That kind of whole-dog support really stood out because he clearly cares about Bondi's wellbeing -- not just obedience. Patrick is knowledgeable, calm, supportive, and really good at explaining the why behind what you're doing. We left sessions feeling empowered instead of confused, which says a lot. We're honestly thrilled with the progress we've already made and excited to keep building on it. If you're looking for a trainer who is thoughtful, effective, and genuinely invested in your dog's success and your relationship with them, we would absolutely recommend Patrick without hesitation.

My experience has always been great here. The front desk staff are all friendly and easy to talk to. It's always been easy to schedule drop offs and pickups. There have never been any unexpected surprise charges or anything like that. I love that the staff here ask questions about how to care for Lou but are not overkill when asking about his needs. I've been other locations and they insisted on going through a long questionnaire with me every visit on specifics about his care. And I'm the type of owner and Lou is the type of dog that it's like look - we're easy! Feed him, keep him safe and tell him he's a good boy. We'll both be happy! Absolute Failure of Care: Unauthorized Injury and Mismanaged Play…read moreI am writing this review as a serious warning to other dog owners. My experience with Camp Bow Wow Matthews was unacceptable, resulting in injury to my 10-month-old puppy and a complete failure of service on a follow-up visit. Incident 1: Unauthorized Procedure Resulting in Injury On his first visit, my 10-month-old puppy was subjected to an unauthorized nail trim that I did not request or approve. When I picked him up, his toenails had been cut down below the quick on multiple toes and were bleeding profusely. This indicates a severe lack of care and training, compounded by performing a painful procedure without owner consent. I complained to the staff immediately about the pain and distress this caused my puppy. Incident 2: Mismanagement of Play and Unapproved Confinement Despite the initial injury, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought him back. I picked him up to find he had been isolated and crated for the final three hours of the day. The staff claimed this was because he was "targeting a puppy." I reviewed the video footage they provided and confirmed that the behavior they labeled as "targeting" was clearly rough, energetic play--not aggression. For a professional daycare facility, misinterpreting normal puppy play and confining him for three hours instead of actively managing the group or separating him into a smaller, supervised area shows a complete lack of necessary skill and accountability. The combination of causing a preventable, unauthorized injury and then failing to provide the core service (socialization and supervised play) demonstrates a serious lack of professional care and judgment. I requested a full refund for both failed services. I strongly advise other pet owners to find a different facility that prioritizes the safety, accurate behavior assessment, and well-being of your dog.
