During the last six months, I used the Charlotte location after changing jobs. The care my dog received was generally good; however, my final customer-service experience was disappointing. After rehoming my dog and no longer owning a pet, I contacted The Social Pet regarding the remaining rewards balance on my account. Instead of addressing my specific circumstances, I received a generic explanation of how rewards points can be redeemed for future pet services, which obviously did not apply to my situation. After being a long-term customer and spending a significant amount of money on daycare, boarding, packages, and other services, I expected a more thoughtful and individualized response. My concern is not simply the monetary value of the remaining points; it is how a loyal customer was treated at the end of a 2 1/2-year relationship with the business. Customer service matters just as much at the end of a relationship as it does when a customer is actively spending money.

We were excited to leave, and felt so confident things would be fine, we didn't leave our house security cameras on. We asked jill to come every morning from 2/9 to 2/14. She said that wasn't a problem, and she would text me after every visit. My husband was at this meeting too, that is exactly what she said she would do. The good: our birds received daily care. They also got their cage papers changed, she left me extra newspaper, she got the mail, and vacuumed the area around the birds. The house was still as clean as I left it, and our house was secure when we got home. I would like to say this visit earned 4 stars, but there are communication problems........ We left early on the 8th and took care of the bird bath /drinking water before we left. I texted jill to let her know we left, I asked for text updates, and let her know what I took care of before we left. She said she would text me after every visit and we were confirmed. So the 9th I waited to hear from her in the morning, and didn't. I texted her to find out what was going on, and she said she had a doctor's appt in the morning, and now, after lunch, she was on her way. I was not aware of any other appointments she had, and our birds had to go a long time between when we left to when she arrived to change the bath water. I had to ask her how things went after she finally arrived, she didn't send me a text update automatically. I wrote Nancy to let her know what happened. She basically forwarded my info to jill. I would rather Nancy have talked to me instead of just passing the info back to where the issue seemed to be, communication with Jill. For the next few mornings, the texts consisted of 3 word sentences like: "all good here". Since there are no care notes being left at home, I felt that was very vague. Did we get mail? Are there any office notes left on the door? Are the birds doing okay? If all I am getting is just a text update, it should be a little more than "all good here". So on the 14th, the last day, I waited to hear from jill after her morning visit. At 1:20 in the afternoon I had to text her to find out what was going on at home. We were on a long drive, and I am having to chase down info from home. This is the pet sitters job. On their website they boast about the detailed notes you will receive from your pets. And how they give these long 30 minute visits for every pet visit. So I ask about the key. She told me when we met that she could drop it off. She knew it was my husbands key, no worries. So I asked her if she could stop by tomorrow. No. She now offers to mail it, or put it under the mat. I sent text instructions to put it on the back porch. So she went to lunch, and was going to come over. I heard nothing else. No confirming the key was left. She didn't respond to my text. So I wrote Nancy. I guess jill told her the key was left. Nobody updated me.....? I let Nancy know I wasnt pleased that on this trip I had to ask what was going on, she didn't tell me about the first day being late, I didn't know she left the key, and Nancys response was that jill told us both she had a doctor's appointment that first day, she only tells Nancy she leaves keys and not clients, there was no appologies for lack of text updates, and Nancy believes what jill tells her. Jill did not tell us the first day would be a delayed visit for any appointments . I know she didn't because the response from her was "well emergencies come up". I assume that when you talk to the owner, Nancy, there would be some acknowledgement or concern that her employee /IC/etc would be showing up, also a client having to keep asking for updates, and not knowing whether a key was left or not. I felt she was basically telling me it was my word against jills, and well, she said she knows what jill told her. Good to know where clients then stand. Any issues, she defends the sitter. But I have the texts. Me asking for info. Me asking if she had visited. Me having to ask her boss. I have the paperwork where I asked for morning visits. And no communication about the first visit being late. You shouldn't have to chase anyone down for info, details, especially, "have you been to my house today"????????? That is part of the job. And you know what, if something happens at a house, is this how it goes? The employee was in the right? They don't show up for hours, ah, that's ok. They don't let you know where your key is, that's ok. They don't even text you the last day so you know they were there.....REALLY? And I find it very suspicious that there are three new yelp reviews left today....when the last ones were 11 months ago....and all 2 days apart. Hmmm

Our pup adores her walker, Alyssa. While we can't rely on her telling us directly, we do get stopped by neighbors who make a point of mentioning that it's obvious that our dog walker loves our dog. That's as good as it gets. Additionally, and just as important they are very reliable. You know they will show up when they say they will. Prices are competitive with most other places.

The facility was very clean...the owner was very helpful when it came to answering all of our questions and addressing all of our concerns. We even got a video which was wonderful. The price was fair. We even had to leave a day early. She was very gracious and very accommodating. Our Pets treatment was that of a loving atmosphere. We will definitely use Unleashed again.

Before they start attending on a daily basis, they need to do a meet and greet. It took us about 3 months to finally get an appointment for our pup. This lasts about 15 minutes and is just to make sure your dog would fit in well. They put him in a room and slowly introduced other dogs to see how they did together. They have cameras with TVs on the lobby so I could watch and see exactly what was going on. He passed! So we could start sending him. They have rooms based on the dogs size. My puppy is just under a year old, so he is in the puppy room!! They are priced around the same as other places we have visited and offer a discount per day for the more days you purchase at once. They also offered a discount (I think it was 20%) if I purchased days the same day as his meet and greet. They also sell dogs toys, treats and food in the lobby. My doggy always comes home exhausted, so you know that's a good sign of a great day! The workers are so nice and love on our puppy just as much as we do! They know him by name and are always so excited when we walk up with him, which makes him more excited to go and is a nice personal touch! My favorite things about dogs all day: 1. You don't have to make a reservation. A lot of times we don't decide until the night before or morning of that we need/want to take Norman. Other places where you have to reserve a space for, are typically booked by that point so it's so nice that we don't have to worry about that and can just bring him in. 2. They have cameras that you can access via app (you do have to pay a monthly fee of a couple dollars for the phone app), or for free on their website, or via the TVs in the lobby. It's always fun to access the camera during the day and see how he's doing! 3. They are mostly outside They also do boarding and grooming, but we have never used them for that. My Husky mix has been going to Dogs All Day for close to 2 years now and loves it! He boards with…read morethem as well and always comes home tuckered out. The staff is amazing and really loves the dogs. I have the app where you can watch the dogs via live stream and it's hilarious to tune in and see my dogs' dopey face. Thor had a few weeks last year where I was dropping him off multiple times a week due to being back in the office. I couldn't find him on the cameras, there are a few blind spots, but usually see him a couple times a day. Before I could even ask if something was going on, they pulled me aside when I picked him up and mentioned he was acting a bit anxious and subdued and just not himself. They told me it could be he is just overwhelmed going to daycare more than he is generally used to. After a vet visit (not necessary at all... Lol) and a couple weeks at home he was begging to go back to Daycare. Turns out he really just does get overwhelmed sometimes. Me too buddy! I came in to grab my husky end of last year and the staff member let me know that he was getting a bit overwhelmed again and may need a week or two at home. I loved that they noticed and told me again before I could even inquire. The staff really cares about the dogs and it shows!
