Ashe at 6 months of age can be a bit of a handful , but Lindsey took the time to understand his behavior and tailored the training to his needs. After just two weeks, we noticed Ashe's confidence soar. Ashe is now much better behaved at the park, and he's responding wonderfully to commands like "sit," "place," "heel," and "come." This is the second dog I put through Off Leash K9 Training, and they truly help build trust between you and your pup. It allows you to take your pup into the world and enjoy life rather than sitting at home alone. I also love how Lindsey emphasizes the importance of consistency and makes sure we're practicing the right way at home. I feel so much more confident as a dog owner, and Ashe seems happier too! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Charlotte to anyone looking to strengthen the bond with their dog and improve both their quality of life and behavior!

She edited her videos so we could see a lot of what they worked on each day. Claire really understood Shadow and his needs. At pick up, she did a great job explaining everything to us, guiding us on how to follow through at home, and loving on Shadow one last time. You could tell he was sad to leave her. Claire was so encouraging and loving towards him. Shadow's been home less than a week and because of Claire, he is behaving so much better. He's been able to off leash and not jump on people he's greeting. Thank you so much Claire and Off Leash K9 Charlotte!

We love Doris Anderson with K-9 Bootcamp!!! My husband surprised me with a puppy for our 1 year…read moreanniversary while I surprised him with a trip to Greece. We found ourselves in quite the predicament, as he was too young to board at a kennel. We reached out to Doris and she made a special exception to accept him into her board and train program when he was only 10 weeks old... When she dropped him off after the program was complete, we had an 11.5 week old puppy housebroken and sleeping through the night with no crate accidents. What surprised me the most is that he patiently waits for you to open his crate and invite him out, he waits for you to invite him to go through the front the door and also waits in his "place" while you get his food ready. In addition to being such a patient sweet boy, he also knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, shake, spin right, spin left, leave-it, play hide and seek, and stay!! She also introduced him to swimming in her swimming pool and socialized him with multiple safe dogs and people. She was very responsive, professional and kept us posted daily on his progress and adventures. We felt at ease knowing he was in such a loving home. This is truly her passion and it shows through the wonderful work she did with sweet Chewy. We LOVE Doris and can't recommend her enough!

I can't recommend Patrick highly enough!! I reached out to him for help with my foster dog, Fisher,…read morewho was scared and unsure of people due to an abusive past. He has been starting to show some fear aggression so I decided to get some assistance. Patrick was incredibly patient, compassionate, and understanding. He never rushed Fisher (or me) or expected too much too soon. Instead, he focused on helping him feel safe and building his confidence at his own pace. What really stood out to me is Patrick's genuine interest in helping shelter dogs. He understands the unique challenges these dogs can face and truly cares about giving them (and their foster parents/owners) the tools and confidence they need to succeed. Thanks to Patrick, I feel much better equipped to help Fisher, and I've already seen positive changes in him. I'm incredibly grateful for his knowledge and expertise! Fisher is available for adoption through the Charlotte Mecklenburg County Animal Shelter if anyone is looking for a cute new companion!

We had such a wonderful experience working with Patrick and our foster dog, Harley!…read more Harley is a sweet, timid girl who struggles with confidence and separation anxiety. Our goal has been to help her feel more secure, independent, and comfortable in everyday situations so she can continue making progress toward becoming the happy, confident dog we know she can be. During our first session, we worked on establishing boundaries and creating more structure in our home. This included practicing calm behavior at doors and gates, helping Harley become less dependent on constantly following us around, and teaching her to settle in a designated place while we relax at home. What we appreciated most was how he took the time to explain not just what we should be doing, but why these techniques matter and how they can help Harley develop confidence and independence over time. He was patient, knowledgeable, and thoughtful in his approach, giving us practical tools we can consistently incorporate into our daily routine. We left our session feeling encouraged and better equipped to help Harley continue progressing. We're excited to keep working on everything we learned and see how Harley grows with consistency and time. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate trainer who genuinely wants to help dogs and their people succeed! And a special note: Harley is available for adoption through the Charlotte Golden Retriever Rescue. She's a beautiful, sweet girl who deserves a loving forever home, and we're working hard to help her become the most confident version of herself.

The process is typical for Camp Bow Wow of requiring new-camper interview prior to board/day camp. The interview process requires the pawrent to stay at the facility approx. 30 minutes while your pups' temperament/socialization skills are evaluated. If given the green light, pup is required to stay for a few hours of play. Staff is very helpful and caring towards the pups. They are also very efficient with the check-in/out processes. The facility seems clean and well -organized. There is an adjacent parking lot. Reservations and sharing records is now very easy via the Camp Bow Wow app, which also allows you to view your pups while they are in the playrooms and establish reservations with any of the camp Bow Wow locations. This location is quite a drive for me, but I have yet to find any other place who I trust to care for my precious pups when I have to be away for several days!

Absolute Failure of Care: Unauthorized Injury and Mismanaged Play…read moreI am writing this review as a serious warning to other dog owners. My experience with Camp Bow Wow Matthews was unacceptable, resulting in injury to my 10-month-old puppy and a complete failure of service on a follow-up visit. Incident 1: Unauthorized Procedure Resulting in Injury On his first visit, my 10-month-old puppy was subjected to an unauthorized nail trim that I did not request or approve. When I picked him up, his toenails had been cut down below the quick on multiple toes and were bleeding profusely. This indicates a severe lack of care and training, compounded by performing a painful procedure without owner consent. I complained to the staff immediately about the pain and distress this caused my puppy. Incident 2: Mismanagement of Play and Unapproved Confinement Despite the initial injury, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought him back. I picked him up to find he had been isolated and crated for the final three hours of the day. The staff claimed this was because he was "targeting a puppy." I reviewed the video footage they provided and confirmed that the behavior they labeled as "targeting" was clearly rough, energetic play--not aggression. For a professional daycare facility, misinterpreting normal puppy play and confining him for three hours instead of actively managing the group or separating him into a smaller, supervised area shows a complete lack of necessary skill and accountability. The combination of causing a preventable, unauthorized injury and then failing to provide the core service (socialization and supervised play) demonstrates a serious lack of professional care and judgment. I requested a full refund for both failed services. I strongly advise other pet owners to find a different facility that prioritizes the safety, accurate behavior assessment, and well-being of your dog.
