I've been there couple of times but I was a little disappointed by the taste of the food as someone from the mediterranean region. It was fine but I expected more I guess. I loooove the decoration and ambiance. The staff is really fun and has good service. Great location too.

We enjoyed our meals at Lefkes. It is currently the only Greek restaurant in downtown Delray Beach. We sat at the bar and the initial bar tender ignored us, but then another bar tender greeted us and took our order. When I go to a Greek restaurant, I'm in the mood for all things Greek, so I order Greek food and wine, if it's on the wine menu, which it was. For starters, we tried three Greek spreads, the tzatziki, the melitzanosalata (eggplant), and the tirokafteri (feta), which were good with the pita bread. We also tried the spanakopita because you have to get that at a Greek restaurant, it's a law or something. For mains, we had the Moussaka, which was very good (very rich) and the Cheshire pork. We ordered the pork medium (which should have a pink center), but it arrived well-done. We sent it back, waited awkward amount of time, and the next one arrived, once again, well-done. I would give Lefkes 3.5/5. Reading through the Yelp reviews, there seems to be quite a disparity of opinion, with 5 star reviews intermixed with 1 star reviews. It seems that the quality of the service and food is inconsistent. From my experience, the food was good and service acceptable, but the restaurant itself doesn't feel like a typical Greek restaurant.

Spent sometime at a friends house in delray and asked "hey is there a good Mediterranean spot around here?" Without hesitation he mentioned Lefkes. We were too lazy to go out so we ordered in. The Phyllo Crusted Feta was my absolute favorite! I have a sweet tooth so the saltiness of the feta paired with the sweetness of the honey and apricot was heaven! Also got the chicken gyro and fries. Food was delicious and delivery was fast. Can't wait to actually get into the restaurant!

First time at Lefkes, a hidden gem off the Ave in Delray! I went for happy hour and got some cheap oysters that were perfection! I tried my friend's mini gyro which was also delicious, definitely recommend that! Happy go it has half priced drinks, can't go wrong with that! Not too crowded and was served immediately.

I had the seafood linguine and the flavor was definitely unique. The fish was fresh, but I personally didn't love the sauces taste. Nor did another friend. My husband had the pork dish and his was delicious. We got the Horiatiki Salad which is pretty basic but was good

    Horrible experience

HORRIBLE experience. The service was shockingly bad. I'd give zero stars if possible. On a Friday night, the place was nearly empty and in hindsight makes sense. Four bartenders stood around gossiping, pointing at customers, and laughing audibly instead of working. We repeatedly asked for menus and napkins, only to be told "someone will be with you" with no follow-through. After reading other 1-star reviews, I feel completely validated. This isn't about the location, it's a place that's poorly run with unprofessional staff. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up closing like the Delray Market.

Pete was professional and service was exceptional. Our meals were served timely with enough time time between courses to see beautiful artwork and photos of Greece. Food was authentic and plated beautifully. We had the feeling we were actually in Greece. Fresh and delicious with excellent flavors and presentation was magazine perfect. " " !

After seated, we literally waited 20 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order and we had to continue to ask for a server. We had reservations and we were on time for our reservations so this should not have happened and if it's going to happen, the restaurant should have the decency to say it's going to be a minute we're understaffed or something to let you know that you're going to be waiting, not make you chase down a server. It was the same thing to put the food in another 30 minutes, just to get the server to come over to give him the order . The menus stayed on our table the entire meal by the time we were on dessert the menus were still on our table. That is like rule 101 as a server you take the menus off when you take the order. The food was actually good but wont be back due to the experience. We even spoke to the manager. They didn't take a drink off or anything, but every table around us was also just as annoyed and trying to find a server and it was just not how a restaurant should be run. If you're shortstaffed or something, you don't see everyone or you at least tell them that it's going to be a minute so that they're patient but this was done completely wrong. We sat there and watched every table after us that got sat for the next half hour before we even put in our order but just as annoyed that they couldn't get water or a drink order in or even a server to come over and say hello the manager should've at least went to each table and explained what was happening.

We had a dinner at Lefkes Estiatorio this evening and the food and atmosphere and service were very good. The chief annoyance was the noise level and acoustics. We were taken earlier than our reserved time by Open Table as there was a table for 2 available. I noticed a video showing Greece on a recorded loop and as l loved visiting Greece l was happy to be seated watching the lovely Greek Islands while waiting for the service to begin. We were offered a choice of sparkling, bottled water or tap water and bread while we waited for our server Jesse to take our drink orders. He pointed out which cocktails were sweeter, less bitter, etc on the specialty cocktail menu. There was also an extensive wine menu and wine selection l was able to see from our table. Jesse helped us with our appetizer and main entree selections. My husband ordered the Australian lamp chops which came 4 on the bone nicely seasoned. I ordered the branzino which was filleted and served with lemon seasoned potatoes and drawn butter for dipping. Both entrees were delicious. While chatting with Jesse we had some comments on the noise level and he sent the general manager Shannon Judge over to our table. We mentioned the acoustics were not conducive for dinner conversation as the noise level was very loud. She agreed and said as the new general manager she was going to try to make some changes with the acoustics and spreading out the tables .For a fine dining restaurant with a higher price point people should not hear the conversation at the next table as we did when we first arrived and as the restaurant got more crowded we could not have a coherent conversation between ourselves. For our inconveniences Shannon comped us a delicious dessert on the house which we chose the baklava which was tasty and delicious accompanied by vanilla ice cream. I also suggested wet naps to be brought over after the meal and Jesse found some for us and Shannon agreed it makes sense for people to have a wet nap after a meal to freshen up. Overall we loved the decor, service , food and our server Jesse and the general manager Shannon were very hospitable to us and we were made to feel welcome to come back and try another time. I should mention this was in February on a Saturday evening which is high season and very crowded in South Florida.

What a great new place! The food, the service, and ambiance were great! However, it does get quite loud in the evenings with the live music. I just went for dinner with a friend but saw multiple people around the restaurant celebrating and the staff bringing out signs and lights with desserts to celebrate. As a vegetarian, my options were limited but staff was very friendly and helpful in determining any modifications that can be made on items and answering questions on the ingredients for menu items.

    Delicious Tuna tartare!!
    Michelle C.

Very nice vibe to this place with music and lighting. The noise level increases as the night gets later and after 9pm they had a live sax player going around the dining room for added entertainment. The service was friendly and rather fast. The tuna tartare on top of avocado was delicious. The seafood linguine was so tasty with a good variety of seafood. The squid ink pasta with lobster was also thoroughly enjoyed. The pistachio ice cream dessert with a lemon custard was very flavorful yet light, Will definitely be back.

They forgot the side salads so we asked for them to go and had to wait 20 minutes for them. The appetizer assortments were sized for 1-2 people and only came with 1 dolma. The tzatziki came out and we had to ask for pita, and in our way to the table the waitress stopped to talk to the table next to us so i had to gently take the basket from her hand... The waitress was apologetic and said it was only her but there were only two other tables with a couple of people each... We were brought beer in bottles and had to ask for glasses. I saw the bartender picking up glasses two at a time and putting them back down- looking for clean ones!!! I hope these issues are brought to the attention of management because no matter how good the food is, the service is a huge part of the experience. Finally, she took my credit card and disappeared... i had to go ask another bartender who had just showed up, and he had to go look for it and bring it to me. They had already included the gratuity since we were 6 people so maybe that's why they didn't care. Opa!
