I have been going to Lee's for 3+ years ever since I moved to Hoboken. Great service and a great people!

They tried charging me $180 to simply hem the bottom of a very simple dress (no beads. All one length. One layer only). The absolute disrespect and the answer was "prices are going up". Disrespectful. Never going back. A very simple hem any other place in Hoboken is no more than $80, and even that is a lot. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews but I want to save someone else from having their clothes ruined :( I brought some new pants here for hemming. When I got them back, one leg was significantly shorter than the other, the stitching was uneven, and there were weird stains on my pants. These pants had never been worn when I brought them for hemming, so I know they didn't have stains before I brought them in. Unfortunately the shorter leg was much too short and the pants can't be fixed, so I feel like I lost a good amount of money on the pants + hemming since I have to just get rid of them. read more

I thought this was my college friend's family business! I walked in there thinking I would see my friend's parents running the place. But it was the wrong Dry Cleaner. Anyways, I was in a rush and in a hurry to get my nice suit for my wedding to be cleaned, so I went with this place. I got it back in a few hours, and the suit wasnt too bad. It was clean enough for me. Staff was ok! Im not asking for them to go out my way, Im just glad they cleaned my suit and made it in time for the reception. Thanks Lee! Overpriced. Timely and quick service, but everything from sewing a button to wash-n-fold is overpriced. I tried to have a teeny-tiny hole sewn up, and they were going to charge $13. Right next door, at the organic cleaners on 1st and Willow, they charged me $8. Now, that's more like it. I will stick to some of the other places in the neighborhood. read more

Wow I can't say enough GREAT things about Lee's Dry Cleaners. I live in Newport and the dry cleaner here is just horrible, I've worked in the fashion industry for years and take pride/invest a large amount of time and money into choosing pieces for my wardrobe. As a result I get very nervous trying new cleaners but when I read the reviews here I knew it was worth a shot. I was initially drawn to the shop since I saw they clean and preserve wedding gowns so I assumed that they were very specialized and would take care of delicate and intricate pieces. I brought in three pieces, Isabel Marant, Stella McCartney and one of my favorites of all time a dress by Cecile Bahnsen. They are all SO BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!! I am so so so happy. The Search I was searching for a dry cleaners for my white jacket which had a lot of difficult stains. I use it for work so I had to be careful who I chose and I didn't feel like bringing it to Madame Paulette in Manhattan. LOL After reading reviews on about 5 different cleaners, I took a stroll and looked at each one. In the end I picked Lee's. The Test So my white jacket is really expensive all cotton delicate jacket. I also liked how this mom and pop shop is also organic. I brought my jacket in and showed them all the dirty stains that had settled in. The owner was honest with me, looked me in the eyes, and said those kind of stains would not allow them to have the jacket ready by the next day. The Result So got my jacket back today and super impressed. I checked where all the stains were and they were all gone! Looks brand new! The prices were good as well and I got the feeling that the owner really cared about my jacket. I also appreciate their integrity and honesty. Their smiles and friendliness is great too. Felt good not to be treated like a mass production mill cleaner. They didn't rush my jacket, they told me what day it would be ready and it was. read more

I love and miss Mr. Lee and his wife and their dry cleaning services. They were my go-to place for all the five years I lived in Hoboken and I never once had an issue with any cleaning, alterations etc. I'm amazed at the negative reviews here, to be honest. I live around the corner from Lee's so it's very convenient. Mr and Mrs Lee are always very nice and everything is normally ready on time. I had an issue once where they forgot to clean something and they fixed the problem immediately and called me on my cell phone when it was done. Highly recommend A+ read more

I moved to jersey city recently and tried a dry cleaner near by my new apt... I had to switch back to lee's dry cleaners! Also, they pick up and drop off my clothing so that has been so helpful! i trust mr and mrs lee with not just my clothing. they are hardworking honest people. you cant not like them. i get all my clothes tailored here and not too long ago got my boot fixed and cleaned. fantastic job! read more

There's so many places to dry clean clothes in Hoboken. Around me, there are at least ten in a 3-4 block radius. They're all nice and provide decent service. Since moving to Hoboken 10yrs ago, I still bring mine to Lee's. They love their customers and provide excellent service. read more

They really nice very friendly,but unfourtunetly they cut my dress way too short...this is not what i showed them.. And the sewing Was ugly ,not professional.And the dress Was pretty expensive to ruined it..And they also very expensive .If they do good job i dont complaining about the price...Im very dissapointed !!! read more

In my girlfriend's words......."I've probably been to Lee's 10-15 times. So far they have LOST 2 of my belongings. The first was my winter jacket which was amazingly "found" three weeks after it was supposed to be ready for pickup. The other were my $290 Seven jeans. This is definitely the last time I'm going here. They told me my jeanas were at their other location. Obviously a lie. Then they told me to give them 1 more week to find them. I shouldn't have to do this but I did, and even gave them 1 additional week. So now 2 weeks later I still don't have my jeans. They offered to purchase me a different pair (for $40) from H&M. My pair was one of a kind and I wanted something similar with jewels on the back. They refused to pay for the similar pair. During the whole process while I calmly and rationally explained that I would have to take them to small claims court and file a police report, they got irate and started yelling at me that that isn't fair. These folks are really not nice people, are bad businesspeople, and are known in my circle of friends as LOSING (OR STEALING) YOUR CLOTHING! ****oh ps, i'm about 5'1 and 110 pounds.....i know they have a daughter....for some reason i think she is probably about my size and that my jeans are being worn by her...losing 2 articles of clothing is hard to believe!!***" read more

I was looking for an affordable and good tailoring cleaner because of my upcoming recital dresses.
