I had never been here but after seeing the huge line every time I was at Granville Island I obviously had to check this place out. Let me tell you, the line is warranted (and actually moves pretty quickly!). These donuts are so good! I got two of their classics (yeast donuts) and they were so light, airy and fluffy. Maybe one of the best donuts I've ever had? I didn't branch out to their others but I'll definitely be making a trip there again so I'll have to report back on the rest of them (yes, I do probably plan to try them all!) read more

I've seen videos saying they serve great donuts but I question the reviewers know what a donut is. I was very disappointed by the dough because it was like a bread. The fillings were tasty but not generous The Lees Donuts are totally over rated read more

The pop up location in Langley mall is terrible the customer service alone is disgusting the girls are miserable and rude. I asked for a box and the girl said you can have a bag despite me walking home in the pouring rain. They need to hire people that enjoy their job The donuts well I can't comment on ad I'm not sure what they taste like yet as I'm walking out of the mall on a day we're their is a down pour of rain. Thanks girls for having compassion read more

I think Lee's has been around for some time. I saw them featured in the vlog Chopstick Travel and it made me crave for their donuts. We lined up for about 10 minutes. And when we got to the counter I wanted to get one of everything. However I only bought half a dozen since I was the only one in my family that eats donuts. These were so fresh that they melted in my mouth. I would say one of the best in Vancouver for plain old fashioned donuts. read more

Lee's is just so delightful that it's caused an annoyance in my life. Does that sound kinda weird? It's because my three-year old LIVES for these donuts. He asks to go to Granville Island every single day and for a while I was like, "this kid is really pumped about some painted silos." Then I came to my senses and realized the donuts drew him here. Chocolate sprinkle: yes. Boston cream: good stuff. Honey dip: friggin' excellent stuff. There's a bit of a line now because covid, but it takes most people five seconds to pick their donut and move along, so it goes fairly quick. read more

These are worth the hype. The honey donut was amazing as well as the eclair. The cheesecake donut was ok but not for me.

Love your donuts (and service) every time. The variety and quality is always there. This is a once I a while treat, and they never disappoint. Thank you! read more

First thing you see when you enter Granville Public Market...donuts, lots of donuts. You can see them making the donuts from the window. Lee's has donut holes, cake donuts, fritters, raised donuts, crullers, etc. Flavors include honeydew, honey dip (a favorite with regulars), mint chocolate, Bavarian, etc. They also have crème puffs, crepes, cinnamon rolls, and muffins. I thought I saw a donut with a mini crème puff on top and frozen donuts. * Chocolate crunch - an extra fluffy, thick plain cake donut, tender on the inside, lightly crunchy outside with tiny bits of chocolate, so good * Devil's food donut - rich, chocolate donut with an extra thin, crunchy sugar glaze, clean tasting, fresh though not warm, fluffy * Buttercrunch donut - vanilla cake donut with tiny vanilla bits, didn't have much vanilla taste and the donut seemed a bit too moist Every October is pumpkin donut month at Lee's and I heard their pumpkin donuts are something special. read more

They dont take cash only credit and debit they tried this in places in the US but it was stopped as it was deemed discrimination of the poor who may not have credit or debit cards considering most purchases are only a couple bucks its the worst kind of business to not take cash they had to put back the donut since i haven't been carrying any cards talk about not wanting money almost anti-capitalism the future of no cash is a long way from now read more

4.5 Stars!! Lee's Donuts of Granville Island made the best doughnuts that I tasted on our road trip to Vancouver, Canada. Better than Voodoo Doughnut in Portland and Top Pot Doughnuts in Seattle. Overall, one of the best donut places that I have ever visited. All the donuts that we purchased tasted really good. My favorites were the Honey Glazed (Honey Dip) donut and the Chai Spice donut. Both of them tasted excellent. My timing must have been good because those babies were fresh, warm, soft, and oh so yummy!! My taste buds were in heaven!! Yeah, the prices are steeper than the normal donut shop. Still worth it, though. I was just kind of disappointed that the taste of the donuts dropped dramatically the next day from what was left of the dozen we purchased. That's okay....I'll just make sure to eat them all on the same day during our next visit! Haha! So, make sure to drop in here when you are at the Granville Public Market! read more

If you can get a donut that just came out of the oven, it's legit. Honey-glazed donuts are the way to go - they are nice and chewy, with the perfect amount of glaze. Definitely better than Krispy Kreme (coming from a North Carolinian, home of KK), but only when it's fresh out of the oven! If only they had a "Hot Now!" sign. The honey-glazed are so good that I've never tried any of the other flavors. Why bother? read more

It was recommended by my coworker that I stop here and try Lee Donuts. I get to the island, I find Lee Donuts and there's no line so right there I lost interest but I wanted to try the place my coworker recommended. I ordered a honeydipped as the cashier said that was the most popular. She said they just made a new batch so it was hot. I said I'll take one of those. My husband got a blueberry filled donut. We bit into our donuts and we were in heaven. My husband said the trip over to the island was worth it just for these donuts. Yummy! read more

Yeah I know Granville Island can be a tourist trap. I was there on a busy Saturday, I should know. Everything there is overpriced and all the vendors are wild animals licking your chops for your business. It's a zoo I tell you! However, if you do visit the Public Market here, make a stop at Lee's Donuts. It's not the cheapest donuts, but they're affordable. The most popular is honey glazed, it's just soft doughy melt in your mouth yumminess. I tried the coconut cream which is insanely delicious! There's a large selection of donuts to choose from and everything is tasty. read more

Lee's Donuts is absolutely phenomenal. I've been meaning to try this place forever but they were closed for renovations and when they were planning to open, COVID happened but they've now decided to reopen and be extra careful. I'm so thankful they did, the donuts are SOOO good and the staff are incredible. They are so friendly and I grabbed a bunch of boxes to give out to my friends and they were super accommodating and helped the whole order ready for me as soon as they can. Highly recommend checking them out and please during this COVID-19 time, respect the social distancing rules and be safe. Thankful for good donuts to cheer us up during this pandemic. read more

Mission to eat Vancouver's 101 Best Eats Item: Honey Dip Donuts Price: $1.75 Cuisine: Bakery / Baked Goods Deserving to be on the list: Neutral Comments: If you like Krispy Creme donuts - this is similar.... but very doughy... unlike Krispy Creme which I find very cakey, if you know what I mean. Fully glazed and super sweet, you can see the dough stretch as you take a bite.... kind of fun if you are a little kid enjoying a snack. I also tried the bavarian chocolate donut - which had bits of coconut as a topping, but there was not much coconut taste. The chocolate donut was much more fluffy, very different texture from the Honey Dip. There are so many kinds of donuts at this place... something for everyone! read more

Is it strange to wish I had one of their apple fritters for my birthday cake? Is that too much to ask? My friend and I stopped at this shop when we saw this apple fritter the size of a dinner plate and as a joke, I dared him to pose with one. He bought the Mini Apple Fritter, maybe 2/3 the size of a dinner plate. I never thought that it would actually the best tasting pastry of my birthday weekend! Better than my cake! Jaw dropping good! The donuts are very fresh and I have to say they are better than Tim Hortons. But is something different and special. read more

I decided to try Lee's Donuts after seeing them on David Chang's new show on Netflix. I stopped in around 11:00 a.m. on a Sunday and there was no line. It looked like they were out of a lot of the flavors, so I opted for one with sprinkles. The donut was pretty dense, more like a thick cake. It was pretty solid as far as donuts go; I'm looking forward to trying other flavors next time I'm in town. read more

We got a dozen assorted donut holes. They were all very fresh and very tasty. Better than TimBits! The donut hole covered in granulated sugar was the best, in terms of flavor and texture. Next in the "great" category came the glazed. On to the good category were the powdered sugar and the chocolate donut holes. And in the good, but wouldn't order again was the cinnamon. If it was more "cinnamon-y" it would definitely be a keeper. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely go back to Lee's and get more than a dozen! read more

Solid 3 stars Hmm, I might have purchased the wrong ones but unfortunately, I didn't think these donuts we purchased were that awesome. They were good, but not out of the world amazing. Ordered: 1) Honey glazed donut: 3/5 tasted like a regular glazed donut 2) Sugar dusted donut: 2.5/5 good, but I prefer the honey glazed donuts A bit pricey IMHO, but I guess you pay for the steeper price in a touristy area. read more

My friend insisted these are the best doughnuts ever, so of course I had to try one when we visited the Granville Island Market. Hot and fresh, with the glaze still dripping, the fried dough was indeed amazing. read more

We were initially going to get a couple only but soon realized it's actually not that much more to get a half dozen so that's what we did. We changed our minds halfway so all six were stuffed inside a bag instead of a box. Result: the honey-dip at the very bottom was crushed beyond recognition. Of course it still tasted good but was just a bit sad to look at. Our bad. read more

I've been visiting Vancouver for 15 years and this was my first time to Granville Island... And also Lee's donuts. Holy moly, best donuts ever!!! Make sure to try the raspberry-filled jelly doughnut and glaze donut... Apparently the most popular flavors, but also the most delicious!!! Legitimately the best doughnut I've ever had and I've had a LOT OF DOUGHNUTS in my life (Only negative, they're a bit pricey). read more

After seeing Lee's Donuts featured on David Chang's Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner docuseries on Netflix, I was super excited to try this place. The line was super long too, so we took it as a sign that the donuts were going to be amazing. The donuts were good, but Lee's is a little overhyped, in my (maybe unpopular) opinion. read more

I had one fresh glazed donut on the Vancouver Foodie Tour and it was quite possibly the best donut I have ever had. I am a huge fan of Krispy Kremes and Lee's Donut was like the gourmet Krispy Kreme. The donut was light, cripsy, and perfectly sweetened. I did not get a chance to try the other donuts but if you want a life changing donut you have to try a glazed donut here fresh! read more

We were able to try a donut while on the foodie tour. Which means we were able to watch them make the donuts, ice them and eat one completely fresh. It was so effing good. I am not a big donut person but this was A plus. It is 5 stars when it is fresh. My friend went back later to have another and did not think it was 5 star. 3 star at best. But get them hot, so good. read more

OMG, as I was standing in line a fresh batch of honey dipped donuts were being served. It was love at first bite. The prefect donut in my opinion. Not too sweet and pillow soft. I decided to try this place out since they always have line up these days. Only ordered half a dozen plus a fritter. The fritter was huge! It had a decent quality jam inside but I didn't realize it was 6$!! I mean if it were 4...maybe but 6?? This is not boutique Cartems quality... I guess it's basically 3 donuts worth of dough? Since their donuts are twice the price as Tim Hortons and Dunkin donuts one would expect a much better quality, and in this respect was hit n miss. The strawberry was good in that it had a very prominent flavoured coating- freeze dried strawberry powder I'm guessing. However the matcha was a disappointment as it was just the sugar sprinkles that had matcha powder added and barely did it resemble such (to be fair matcha is extremely expensive, so it's not likely affordable to make a $2.25 matcha donut that tastes like it. Gingerbread was probably the best. I would return to try different flavours like a chocolate batter but definitely not worth lining up for. read more

Loved Lee's donuts, great tasting fluffy while dense. Great flavours. You can easily eat a lot.

Ok... first off the Doughnuts are not bad but if you compare Doughnut shops in Seattle to Lee's, Lee's won't even make it in the top 10. I waited hour in line to try these doughnuts and man.. I was really disappointed. Were the doughnuts good yes but waiting in line good? NO!! Please, if you are from the Seattle area please don't waste your time. read more
