Lee's Donuts are good. But expensive. Just for 1 donut you pay over $3 and if you buy a dozen donuts. It's $30. It is cheaper to buy a dozen donuts at Tim Horton's. So unless you are a donut addict and have lots of money. I wouldn't go to Lee's Donuts. Maybe only once in awhile. Save your money and go to Tim Horton's or Breka. read more

But first, Donuts! Was told by our friends we had to get some of these and try. Six was just right for me and my girlfriend. Don't think you'll be disappointed with whatever flavor your choose. There was a line but we only waited for about 10 minutes as it moved fast. Try a Lee donut. It also helps during those midnight sweet cravings in your hotel room:) read more

This was the first place that I visited during my time in Vancouver for my trip that served donuts and it was impressive! I visited this shop yesterday at 1:10 P.M. and it was pretty quiet in the surrounding areas around the shop. Also, the service was really good when I was ordering my food and asking questions. Furthermore, there were not a lot of people and I was able to order my donuts within ten minutes. The first donut that I got was the Honey Dip Donut which had a good sweetness level, was soft, and fluffy. The next item that I got was the Bavarian Cream Donut which had the perfect amount of sweetness, was crispy, and fluffy. The third item I got was the Maple Crunch Donut which had a good level of crunchiness, a balanced sweetness level, and was soft on the inside. Overall, this was a really good experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to go eat a good donut! read more

This donut shop is hidden inside of the public market. The line wasn't long and we got to get our donuts right away. I got the honey dipped donut, recommend by the worker who said it was the most popular. It was similar to a classic glazed donut. It was incredible. So light & fluffy on the inside and the glaze was sweet and had a slight crunch. read more

A single Honey Dip $2.50 for a Krispy Kreme knockoff, eh, I can handle. Surly service I cannot and makes it disappointing for this donut devotee. One-line review: a good product at a premium price. I guess that's what one might rightly expect at Granville Island's public market, but when I think of donuts, I generally think of something unassuming, inexpensive, and delicious. Lee's misses on the 'inexpensive' part, but they do serve a tasty product, as the line up (even in the COVID time) attests. We ordered a honey dew donut and crumb donut. Both were light and fluffy -- surprisingly so for a donut, a definite cut above. The taste on the honey dew (the one I ate) was pleasant but not distinctive; if you had given it to me without telling me the flavour, I would not have been able to identify it. The price of the donuts was hefty. $2.50 for their regular donuts and higher from there. Bottom line: Fine for a splurge treat when walking around on Granville Island, but I wouldn't come here just to get their donuts. There are more budget-friendly options which are just as good. read more

A Vancouver classic, served with profit driven vanity. After choosing 8 donuts, and asking for two boxes, since the box was too small to host all, none was provided. "It's more cost effective, and we have a limited amount, so no, squish them in the one box you get". I offered to pay extra for a box, explained it was going to be gifted (4 for my household, 4 for another household) to be Covid safe dropped off. While the donuts are warm, you'll have a cold experience. I hope they learn a paper box isn't going to have them in the red, it's their logic behind saving that $0.15. read more

Good snack item to try when in the area! The line was really long, so we decided to give them a try. I personally grew up on the classic Shipley's and prefer a simple glaze, so these weren't my personal favorites and were a little overpriced for what they were. However, definitely respect them for the icon that they are! read more

Once a favourite, always a favourite!! Lee's has the best donuts in town! And you know it because it has a complete separate line from the market that get pretty busy at times so make sure you go early or less busy hours. We waited for about 15 to 20 mins and it was well worth it! They have a lot of variety of donuts with different flavours and texture! My favorite is the honey dip because I love the yeasty soft texture of it! They even have seasonal flavours that pop up every now and then like pumpkin during the fall and the like! And if you want to make sure you see all the choices for the day make sure you go there early in the day! By the afternoon some of the flavours may run out! Make a visit to Granville Island now for this glutinous treat! read more

This is our first stop when we visited Granville Island Public Market. We got their famous honey dip as well as their cake donuts (strawberry iced and double chocolate) and they were still fresh and warm from the frying rack! Proceeded to take my first bite of the honey dip and I can definitely say: Best donuts I've had in a long time! It was fried golden, puffy and the dough was fluffy, airy and the glaze sweet in all. the right. ways! Mmmmm! read more

As one of the biggest donut enthusiasts, I'm not sure why I haven't heard of Lee's Donuts but wow, how happy am I to stumble upon it. There was a pretty long line, but it is definitely worth the wait. The donuts themselves are incredibly soft and fluffy. I'm the biggest yeast donut lover, but Lee's cake donuts were my favorites... and that's saying a lot. The cake donuts were the perfect consistency and texture, unmatched by any other cake donuts I've tried so far. I will say the donuts are quite pricey, but it's what you'd expect from a widely popularized donut spot in a busy tourist attraction. These may have been the highlight of my Vancouver trip. Definitely a must if you're in the area! read more

Service was fast and friendly and donuts were amazing, definitely hits the sweet spot! There are a variety available, from glazed to iced to filled. The dutch crumb was my personal favorite. We went in the afternoon. Most popular flavors were sold out. I ended up getting the cinnamon dusted donut. The batter was good. Its a bit denser than I expected. Not sure why thats so popular. It is decent but not something I would line up to get it again. read more

There's a huge line but it's worth the wait. Before traveling to Vancouver, all the travel videos and advice people provided made it clear that we need to come Lee's Donuts. All 6 donuts I had were amazing! I don't even like donuts, but Lee is a donut game changer. I highly recommend standing in that line and waiting so you try these donuts. read more

"I bet you're going to eat three of them right away" - my fiancé He was wrong. I only devoured two :') Tried out Lee's Donuts (finally) after passing by many times over. Their donuts aren't too sweet and are quite dense. If you're not a pig like me, you'll probs be able to eat one and feel satisfied. I didn't try all the flavours cuz I tried to leave some for fam, but the French, the Honey Dew and Sugar raised ones were mighty fine! If you ask me in order of preference for donut shops though, I'd say Krispy Kreme, Lucky's and Mello are still my top faves. Though Lee's is pretty close up there as well. read more

Would I come back? Seeing the great reviews and the line enticed me to give this place a try. It is not bad but it is not great either. I was able to try the apple fritter and honeydew doughnut. Maybe it is a Canadian thing, but their apple fritter is not what I am used to. I am from the US, so our apple fritters have chunks of apples spread throughout the doughnut. The apple fritter here is like a apple filled doughnut. It wasn't bad but I thought there was nothing special about it. The honeydew doughnut was okay as well. However, it lacked the taste of honeydew. It is conveniently located in Granville Market, so if you decide to come here to try the other vendors I guess you can give this place a try. Maybe a plain glazed doughnut would be a good choice. read more

Don't be fooled by the lineups!! As my family and I were . Definitely not worth the hype. Not from the Vancouver area so we decided to try this place as tourists since there was a huge lineup and the donut selection looked good. We got only half a dozen to try ($13) flavours included matcha, mango cream, balvarian creme , butter nut and Dutch chocolate. They were nothing special really, matcha was by far the worst as there was no matcha flavour. The only flavour that was actually really good was mango creme. I would suggest to get donuts that have fillings and none of the cake based donuts as they were dry and too heavy. read more

Had zero qualms with the donuts or service here. Only thing is the line can be pretty long, especially on weekends or days when the market is crowded. I still think it's worth it. We got the honey dip donut (their classic) and it was perfectly moist without being oily on the outside or inside. One of the better plain donuts I've had in my life. Really tasty and would recommend everyone get this. We also got one of the jam filled ones which my boyfriend really enjoyed. Not much to say about this place because it's just a simple and good donut shop :) read more

One of the best places for donuts in Vancouver, there is always a lineup here. Instead of getting our regular 6-pack, we got two singles to go - matcha and gingerbread and they were both fresh and delicious! If you are a fan of donuts, this is a must try place in Vancouver. read more

I don't see what's so special about the donuts here. Maybe I had the donut the next day. Maybe I bought the donut towards the end of the day. Maybe I did not buy the bestseller donut. In any case, the honey dip donut I tried (warmed up for 15 sec in the microwave) was ok. It was soft and not overly sweet. At $2.25 each, it was considered pricey when compared to Tim Hortons. Maybe one should just get the fritter for the wow factor. It looked huge based on other yelpers' pictures. Unfortunately it was sold out when I got there around 6pm. read more

If you're visiting Granville Island, Lee's Donuts is a must go! Everything is freshly made the morning of, and once donuts are sold out, they're goooone! Almost always, they have a line up out the door and it's no surprise as to why. Their donuts are fresh, so well balanced in the flavouring and texture, and if you're a fan of coffee, swing around the corner and pick yourself up a cup of Joe to pair with this delicious pastry. Only downside to Lee's Donuts is that (to my knowledge) they don't have vegan options available. read more

Love these donuts and absolutely love that I can get them fresh, still warm from the fryer. My favorite is the raspberry jelly (with that messy but wonderful sugar dusted on the outside) and just the standard honey dip. It's worth the wait but if you plan it right, & you get there early enough, there is very little or no wait at all. I was lucky enough to get the experience of these gems from the early days of Granville Market's opening and have enjoyed them whenever possible for the last 40 years. They are an icon and wrecked me for any Tim's or Krispy Kreme's. It's a blessing AND. a curse! read more

I've seen a lot of bloggers do reviews on these donuts so I was really curious to see what the hype was. There has been a long line every time we went to Granville Island so we never felt the need to wait. However, on a week day, Granville isn't too busy. We got two donuts. They were okay. I don't remember what flavor we got. They threw in an extra donut because it was at the end of the day. I was a little disappointed that they had no vegan donut options but that's okay. I think they get the four stars and not the five because I just didn't think their donuts were all that special. It just tasted like a regular donut. It was good but not memorable good. read more

One of my favourite donut spots in Vancouver. It's around $25/dozen buts it's totally worth it When I went there was a bit of line but it was socially distanced. My 3 Fave Flavours : Raspberry Jam filled: so good, usually I don't like jam filled donuts but this totally changed my mind! : Honey Dip: their most popular flavour and a must-try for your first-time visit. : Sugar-raised: very simple, but absolutely delicious Also watch out for the seagulls if you're eating outside, they're vicious! We got here right before closing, so not much variety of flavors left to choose from, but I had to try the place out. While visiting Vancouver, we went to Granville Island and saw the massive line outside. Naturally, I went onto Yelp and Google to see if this place was worth the wait. Ordered Honey Dip, Reese, Chocolate Iced Ring and Chocolate Crunch. I would say Honey Dip is really good even when eating it the following day. Good donuts. Many choices. Came from California and heard about this shop on You Tube.

Lee's donuts are good for a quick sweet snack but underwhelming IMHO. It's a classic style doughy doughnut in mostly traditional flavours - sugar, chocolate, honey dip, coconut, etc. They do crepes (savoury and sweet), and they have basic coffee and tea on the menu. read more

Yeast or cake donuts? This place has you covered with either preference. I'm a yeast donut fan myself, so the Bavarian filled donut was a pillowy taste of heaven. The only downfall was the lack of filling. I made it half way into the donut and started to really doubt whether it was filled at all. It was, but veryyy lightly. Thankfully the fresh sweet donut was tasty enough with the sugar coating/without the filling but I definitely would have preferred more of the Bavarian cream inside. read more

Worth the wait! We dropped by Granville Island on the last few days right before Phase 3 was announced so there were definitely some wait-time for Lee's Donuts but it's all worth it! It was our first time so I asked the gentleman behind the counter to just give us half a dozen of whatever he recommended the most..and he did not disappoint! The donuts were MOIST .. the jams were actually tolerable (for me who hate any jam filling in her donuts) and they were yummmmyy! My husband and I devoured at least 2-3 of them before we even got home and were happy to find out that the donuts actually keep their moist-ness a day later.
