Delicious coffee awful terrible customer service. Don't go in unless you have hours to waste.

paid $7.50 for a cold brew. it literally came with 3 ice cubes and was room temperature...this was not a nitro version. I politely asked for some more ice for my "iced" drink and received an empty water cup with 2 more little ice cubes in it....not an exaggeration. I actually thought it was a joke. i was waiting for the punchline, or figuring I was going to be told there is apparently an ice cube shortage...but nothing?? I could not see the employees name, or I would call her out, but because of her we will never return. Just a final mention, there were only two customers in line. I might have understood if they were slammed, I probably would not have even asked. But that was certainly not the case. Just terrible customer service and attitude. Won't be back...no chance. Go elsewhere is my suggestion. read more

With a 3.5 Yelp rating, I went into Leelanau Coffee with low expectations. It's the only coffee shop in Glen Arbor so we had no options early on a Saturday morning. However, overall it was a good experience. Here's why: 1) Coffee: It wasn't bad! The coffee menu includes straight up coffee and specialty drinks. My latte was well brewed, balanced and not too sweet after they put the hazelnut syrup in it. They also have decaf options. 2) Food: They sell breakfast food, including several breakfast sandwiches. Our egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich was tasty as were our chocolate croissants. 3) Service: It wasn't the most friendly, but I think it's because there was a long line being the only coffee option in Glen Arbor. 4) Space: There's a little inside room with tables and chairs. If it's not raining, there's an outdoor back patio too. read more

Stopped in for a quick caffeine fix as we were shopping around Glen Arbor. They have a large seating area if you want to hang out. And lots of their coffee beans for sale along with mugs too. The service was quick. I had a cafe latte which was nice snd rich. Very good. read more

I cannot stress how important coffee is for road trips and so it was the first thing on our agenda the morning we're leaving Sleeping Bear Dunes for Upper Peninsula. We discovered this place in Glen Arbor from Yelp. Apparently it has been around since 1993! They have their own parking lot, which is very convenient. The place is very spacious, but we only grab to go. They have few selections of baked goods and several variety of coffee beans, but I don't see a lot of specialty lattes. It's pretty nice because you just ask which coffee you want, got handed a cup, and fill it yourself with your preferred sugar/cream etc. We also grab a cheese bagel, which tasted good toasted. Such excellent coffee! I had one of the best Americanos ever, and it was very welcomed after the sad in-room coffee at our hotel. There was a long line, but that's a signal to me that it's worth it. It was! It also happened to be the day the farmers market was happening across the street. I highly recommend getting a delicious coffee and heading over to enjoy it at the adorable farmers market! read more

Loved their espresso Frappuccino! I was hesitant that it may be too sweet for my liking (given my typical reaction to Starbucks traps) but this was just perfect. Definitely hit the spot on a hot summer day. My boyfriend got the traverse city cherry ice cream - also hit the spot on a hot summer day. Stopped in to grab a coffee during a drive through Sleeping Bear Dunes. Its a great place to find some unique coffee flavors! I just got a regular brewed coffee and they had 3 or 4 different ones to choose from. I tried a blueberry roast. It was quite blueberry-like! Definitely recommend. read more

Two friends of mine have previously visited this place and recommended I check it out. I was on my way back to Cherry Capital Airport and got into Traverse City earlier than I expected - so I made the 40 minute drive over the Glen Arbor to see this place and get some coffee. I met Mike the owner and chatted with him for a few minutes, and got a cup of coffee to go. Nice guy and good coffee! You really can't beat a small batch roastery. The variety that they offer is insane and extremely impressive especially for a local and independent shop. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful! Being that we love locally roasted coffee and are kind of coffee snobs, we asked for their best opinion and they knew exactly what we would enjoy. Plus they offer more than just coffee! Brewed to order coffees have such a finesse to the craft and it makes for such a delicious cup when made properly. We ended up leaving with an iced coffee, 1 pound of the Glen Arbor blend, 1/2 pound of the Sidamo, (a unique suggested bean recommended by one of the baristas) a sticker, (because I collect local coffee shop stickers) and a coffee bean burlap bag! We are very excited to try the roasts we got and if we love them we love having the peace of mind that they are also offered online! read more

These are no newcomers to the coffee roasting scene, they've been around 25+ years. Go for the Yrgacheffe; a great coffee with the unmistakable berry flavor. Not surprising, but we found buying beans and coffee at their store is waaaaay better than grounding their beans at a local grocery store. Much more fresh! read more

Really?? We show up at 8:45. My wife, son, brother in-law, and nephew go in to get a frozen coffee drink and smoothie for the kids. They place the order, wait several minutes and get their drinks and then they tell them they have NO STRAWS! Ok just try to drink your smoothie and frozen mocha drink without a straw. I'll just tip up the cup and see where it all lands. Just a thought if your not smart enough to count and keep straws for your drinks then maybe tell the patrons before they order them! I wonder what's taking so long so I stroll in at 8:55 and as soon as the girl sees me she says " just so you know we close at 9:00". Really ?? You in a big hurry to chase out your customers? Never online order!! My family and I have been coming here for years and their service quality has diminished greatly over the past few years. That has never stopped us from wanting to support this local shop, but today was too much. We online ordered to make it simple for us parents traveling with 4 kids, and ended up waiting 40 minutes for an order that we were told would take 10. Normally I wouldn't mind the wait, but watching person after person waiting in line go past us and leave and the manager of the shop walking past me many times and never doing anything to help, just felt like a waste of time and a slap in the face. I had even asked for a refund at one point and was told that the cashier had no idea how to handle that. I do not blame him for that, but defer this blame to management for their lack of training as well as attentiveness of their shop. Unfortunately, we will never be coming back here after a 20 year tradition of stopping while we are in Glen Arbor. read more
