The vibe of the places what you expect of an nail salon. It was just conveniently located for me that day. Most of the staff was nice but there were some parts that I didn't love. I didn't enjoy that they tried to push for gel polish after I already said I was not interested. I understand the benefit of gel but I did not want it and my husband's grandma was not interested so it was annoying to have it kind of pushed on us. I usually get gel myself but we just needed something quick and I had no desire for gel that day. Most the staff was nice and got us in quickly. Another moment that I just didn't love was when I could tell one of the nail techs got mad at my husband's grandma because she accidentally chipped her nail because she's not used to getting her nails done during the process. I get the frustration from the nail tech but I just felt like it was a bit awkward and made my husband's grandma feel bad. But it could have been a one-off bad moment as the other moments was pretty good and the staff is really nice. So I just have a mixed bag of good moments and some moments that I just thought was not ideal. If I needed my nails done and I needed it nearby then yeah I'll probably go back again but I wouldn't make an effort to go here as it didn't wow me. read more

My appointment was at 10:30 am to simply get a manicure and pedicure. They sat me in the chair to get the pedicure until 11:00 am when someone from the staff came to start. He didn't do it right, he didn't clean my cuticle well, I told him not to continue because I was leaving, but a lady who works there told me not to worry, it will be fine, let him finish. He painted my nails as if they told him not to use so much paint because he didn't reach the end of the edge and I left there at 1:15 pm. Since 10:30 am for a regular manicure and pedicure, I do not recommend them. read more

I have frequented this nail salon many times over the last several years, and the cleanliness and service has steadily declined. The last time I went in 2 weeks ago for a pedicure and full set of dip, my friend and I had an appointment. One person started my pedicure and did a poor job and another lady finished. Overall, it was not the deluxe pedicure I have been accustomed to receiving. I went back in today for another full set of dip and the gentleman that helped me did a terrible job. He pressed down too much with the dremel and burned my nail bed, the dip is messy and thick in some areas, and I asked for a natural shape and he filed them all different lengths and most are square shape or misshapen all together. I also realized after the fact that he brought me to his station right after finishing another client, and he never cleaned/sanitized anything. I have been there previously and heard how customers who are not satisfied are talked to and treated, so I won't waste my time- but I certainly won't be returning. read more

Hello, this was a first time visit. On the plus side I didn't need an appt. to get a mani/pedi. It went down from there. The mani was below average and rushed w/a brusque attitude. The pedi was not much better w/ the same rushed didn't care attitude. Not a great impression for first time visit. They must have enough customers that one more is just an inconvenience. I've never left a review for anything before. The staff was friendly, but I just paid $73 for a liquid gel refill and they look awful. Bubbles in my nails, the sides were left unpainted, paint on my skin that won't come off, splotchy paint job, the design looks like a five year old did it, and my hand is still burning from the drill + and chemicals that got under my nails. read more

This is my second time at this salon. Both time my names were done by Lyn. She is a very sweet and talented lady and has been doing nails for over 20 years. I told her I wanted my nails short and she did exactly as I asked. I love this shape of nail and she even made sure they were rounded enough to my liking. When I arrived with no appointments I was greeted and politely ask how can we help you. Not what you do you want or what do you need like other places. They offer drinks while waiting and receiving service. They take cashapp, Venmo, cash, and card. I found this place while doing other errands in the area and I'm so happy I did. I never write reviews because I think they're very petty.!first time reviewer!! reviewing cause Kim literally sucks and scammed me 60 dollars! came here on Wednesday after noon to get my nails done for prom. my friend and I both wanted the same thing, acrylic French tips. The first photo below was what I wanted, and then the second is what I got..... The man doing my nails (who was very nice and respectful) added white tips to my nails, I asked if I could get a nude color underneath my nails so you wouldn't see my nail whites under the nail. Kim, kept saying no and said the nude had to be out on before the acrylic, I said I didn't know I needed that, and asked if they could just put it on top. Kim kept disagreeing but said I can go look for a color, after a minute of me looking she called me over and said she had a nude color. She painted it, asked me if it was okay, it looked brown to me in the dim lighting but I chose not to say anything. The actual French tip was done very poorly. Eventually kim was going from client to client as I was waiting for my nails to dry. I got there at 3:45 and just asked before if I would be done by 5:30 because I had work. I know I'm not the only customer and would be totally fine if they said no, but that's why I asked before. Her going back and forth leaving got me out at 5:40. I was late to work. After I left and saw it in the sunlight. The nails were hideous. I looked a werewolf who had claws. I called Kim and asked for a refund. She said no. She said she can file down, and buff the nails and paint over the brown. She was very rude. didn't care for the customer at all. I go in the next day and she files the edges, and gives me lotion, no buffering for the poor chunky shape, and no filing them down. I said these still look the same (3rd Photo) and i just asked if she could remove them. Her words were "no, do it yourself, you're just wasting our time and you have a problem." Theyre a nail salon?? I said they can take other clients and I can wait for them to be removed. Kim said no and refused to remove them. I left. I had an absolutely awful experience here. The person who did my nails was very aggressive with the way they were maneuvering my hands. He would throw my hands towards me whenever he would want me to put my hands in the UV light, or to switch hands. The first time he tried doing my nails he used the wrong technique and when I told him he said he misunderstood me. I don't know why there would be a misunderstanding when I showed him a clear picture of what I wanted. he visibly got upset and started being more aggressive with the way he was doing my nails and did not even care to check the other nails to see if they looked the same. I told Kim the owner that I was very unsatisfied and I did not get anything that I asked for. She proceeded to tell me that he would charge me 70 instead of 75. She also told me that "that's a very tricky technique." you can tell that this business cares more about money than their customers satisfaction. I would never recommend this place to absolutely anyone. I sat in that chair for 2 hours to walk out unsatisfied. read more

This is my usual go to place for nails. Never had an issue before today. All I asked for was a gel manicure. The nail tech kept going over my nails with acetone, taking off the top coat and reapplying the nail polish. I asked her kindly to take off the paint around the nail and she took a nail file to file down my skin. It was painful. I finally said I'll just go home and fix it. Very, very disappointed. The water for the pedicure was hot where it was perfect. Their English was very good so I could communicate with them easily. Worst experience I ever had! I went in for a gel manicure, she didn't let me soak long enough to get my old gel off so she filed off the old gel which hurt! I told her she didn't let it soak long enough so she put it on for another few seconds then continued to file the rest. She dug her nails into my finger while she was painting and then scraped her nail against my finger to clean off excess polish which did no good as I still have polish on my fingers. DO NOT COME HERE. THEY ARE RACIST!!! I am a brown woman and they treated me like a second class citizen. They prioritized the white women that came after me, offered them drinks while waiting. When they finally called me, I didn't get offered anything. The employee who was doing my pedicure kept leaving me to do other peoples nails while everyone else got a full service. I was rushed and she did a half ass job doing my nails. She skipped many parts to my pedicure that I had to ask for her to do her job. And even though she rushed her job, I still ended up staying longer than average because she kept leaving me to do other people's nails. I was the only one being treated like this. Everyone else in that salon got a 1 on 1 full service. Do not come here and spend your money unless you're white!!! read more

My nail tech was Anne and she was very polite. The paint job for my nails was a little off and could have been better. She was a little ruff with the filing and buffing. I bled a bit on one finger and others hurt after. The pricing was very fair. Anne was quiet, but asked many questions before doing anything and help me find my colors. This place has a very good location as right next to Harris teeter but never go on a Saturday. I waited for 40 minutes. It's not as glamorous as the other nail salons in the area but it gets the job done. It is about $30 for a upgraded pedicure and $30 for a gel manicure which is the going rate for the area. I would t say it's the cleanest place but they did a great job on the nails and the owner seemed as though she kept the place in order. I will return but just not on a Saturday ! read more
