If you are looking for a great breakfast sandwich and tasty donuts this is the place!

The service was quick, the music was a vibe, and the people behind the counter were so sweet.

Stopped by to get my daughter lunch and surprise her. Well I was surprised no fish or chicken. You greedy people lol. So, I asked the owner. I guess he's the owner he is always there. No fish or chicken nooo?! We both laughed bc he's pretty cool. He said no. He said maybe an hour or so. Well lunch for her will be over buddy. I said to self! I said I will be back in an hour or I will call. Off to Home Depot. She really doesn't like fish like that or chicken on the bone. So, if she doesn't want it. Ha ha I can eat it! JK. Ok Lee. 3 stars bc an hour to fry more chicken and fish hmmm .

Superb donuts!! They're always super fresh (often still warm!). The selection of donuts changes slowly through out the day as they make different types, so it's really about getting whatever is fresh out of the fryer! They usually have a selection of yeasted and cake donuts, donut holes, plus some specialty donuts like apple fritters, cinnamon swirls, maple bars, and fruit tarts. If you want a cream-filled donut - just ask! They keep them refrigerated in back, and they are some of the best cream filled donuts I've ever had! Sometimes that have old fashioned donuts and blueberry cake donuts too! ...I haven't tried the savory food yet, but I've been tempted, it smells delicious, and I've been told by friends it's excellent cheap & greasy Chinese food! There are a few booth-style tables where you can sit to eat there. I appreciate the community vibe - I often end up having conversations with other customers in line or eating at the tables. The folks who work her are also very kind!

Went there because of the reviews .. the place is small and parking lot small but I was there for the donuts and croissants :) amazing soft fresh! The best I had in the area so far no dense fluffy not too sweet just perfect! The croissant sandwich with egg was just amazing !! Will go back for sure!

So were I work I always see the guys eating fried chicken for lunch and I found out that it was from Lee's Doughnuts. Apparently, they have quite the reputation. So here I go getting the fried chicken and doughnuts. Well, ooohhhh chile! The chicken was really good. It was fried crispy and seasoned delicately but well. Now the only downfall was they dont fry the chicken to order. It was pre-fried and sitting under the heat lamp. It was warm but not totally hot. That said, it was still very tasty. The doughnut was so hot and fresh, soft and delicious. It was a glazed doughtnut and as good as the best of them. If you are every looking for some fresh doughnuts and/or some hot chicken then this is for you.

    The Chicken Stick!
    Nobu K.

Up date, about 5 hours after I ate the chicken stick today, I still can taste and smell of the chicken. ----------------------------------------------------------- BBQ Chicken Stick, 3 good sliced chicken meat on a skewer= $1.50 Meat ball Stick, 3 of 2 inch diameter meat balls on a skewer= $2.00 Both 8 inch skewer. FXXX, it's good shit. Both juicy and good. Tax included! I definitely can't become a vegan. Who cares for the donuts! Well, I do. And I had the donuts too. It was not too bad after the chicken stick. You just don't eat the donuts 1st. There is a small sign on the front window says Chinese food, chow mein, fried rice and egg roll. And donuts. Hey Mr. Lee, You are doin' the chicken right too! And the big juicy meat balls. Keep it up, dude! P.S. Please see Amelia P's review. and she is right, the chicken stick sold out very fast every day. I went there at 11:30 A.M!

Why the HELL have I never been here?!…read more for starters, I have a really bad gluten sensitivity, and finding a place like this feels like an oasis. Immediately after coming in, you are greeted with a shelf of delicious gluten free goods, a freezer full of REAL gluten free bread. Not the doodoocaca stuff you can buy at the regular store. I'm talking baguettes and sh*t. But then that's not all. They have an entire menu that you can dive into and munch on if you are just looking for a quick bite. What the f*ck Mariposa, hell yeah!

Let me begin by saying that I think this place has the best key lime pie I've ever tasted, and I…read morecan eat gluten. I also like that this location has longer business hours than most GF bakeries and serves breakfast all day as well as lunch items. Another big plus is the allergens are clearly labeled online and in the shop. However, I've had negative experiences here on 3 consecutive visits. I go here for my gluten free partner. On one of the visits, I ordered a stuffed bagel and waited for 15 minutes before going back up to the counter to say that I still hadn't received my order. It was busy, but by this time, the person standing at the counter had nothing to do. They apologized and made my order then, but the experience left a bad impression on me since it was my first time eating inside the bakery. On my next visit, I ordered several items inside the bakery to take home with my pickup order and received a pain de chocolate instead of a cinnamon donut, which I didn't notice until I got home. The pain de chocolate costs more and my partner wasn't able to share it with me due to a soy allergy. I suppose I could've been paying more attention, but these items don't have similar names at all, so I was not expecting this error. That said, I made a mental note to pay more attention when ordering inside the bake shop for future orders. On my next visit, I ordered a mocha cupcake and berry muffin, but the cashier rang me up for a hand pie instead of a muffin. Again, the hand pie was more expensive. This time I caught it and asked for it to be corrected. I work in customer service and I act with kindness when mistakes are made because we're only human. However, I believe 3 negative experiences in a row shows a pattern and warrants some attention. I will continue to patronize this business due to the reasons I mentioned at the beginning of this review, but I will now have to be vigilant in ensuring that I receive the correct items and am charged the correct amount. This of course is not ideal. I hope service improves.

Don't sleep on the strawberry short cake, on a biscuit rather than angel food cake, fresh whipped cream and the best strawberries. All the cookies are good too. The OG "upscale fried chicken" sandwich in Oakland. It changed the game in the 2010s but the rest…read moreof the world caught up fast. The sandwich has three elements: bun, chicken (or tofu), and coleslaw. The strongest is the chicken: afried breast with thick batter that makes a satisfying crunch and contains enough black pepper to bring some warmth. The coleslaw is heaped on and becomes its own substantial event. It could be part of the greatness but for two drawbacks. First, there is a lot of oil in the coleslaw. Maybe it could work for a grilled chicken sandwich, but a fried one already brings the oil. Second, shrinkflation came for the bun. Holding the thing together is a challenge. However much, the plain bread used to soak up the slaw oil, there is just not enough bun to do it now. But here's the catch: there are at least two great upscale fried chicken sandwiches just down the road. BSB is a good take on what the chicken sandwich can be, but I wouldn't make it a regular spot.

Tried the char siu and ham combo banh mi ($12) and the shredded pork summer rolls ($7). Everything is vegan. First, the servings are big. And at these prices! And it's not just big but delish. Second, it's good food. Banh mi bread had a crisp crust and a satisfying chew. The fillings were generous, and flavors were well balanced. The pickles had a nice crunch, and the "meaty" parts were savory goodness. Would def get again. The summer rolls come 2 per order; using a bit of lettuce of separate them was a nice touch. Slightly preferred the savory "fish sauce" especially after I soaked the jalapeños in it. The peanut sauce was a little sweet for me so prolly would have enjoyed more with some chili sauce. The shredded pork was a fun, slightly bouncy texture. Also bought a lemongrass beef banh mi but didn't have room, so looking forward ti lunch tomorrow.

It's like a morning bun, and the texture of the morning bun is light, fluffy. Lots of sugar on it, it shedded everywhere while eating. The filling is the star. It is a curd and has a strong a prominent yuzu flavor. They filled it VERY generously. You get curd with every bite. We both agreed the meringue on top, while good, was not needed. The yuzu curd is not too sweet, they really lean into the sour so it balances out the sweet bun nicely. The pandan bun is like nothing I've EVER had. It's the strongest pandan flavored anything I've ever had. You can smell the pandan before you even bite into it. It's a lot like a brioche bun (not dissimilar to challah in texture) with a pandan-flavored concha top. It has a cream-style pandan filling which is a SUPER strong pandan flavor. Yuzu Meringue Bun -- Spot on with the cruffin and meringue combination. The yuzu flavor was generous, although it leaned a little too tart for my personal preference. I wished there was more meringue -- perhaps having a layer of meringue in the center would have made it absolutely superb! Brown Butter Mochi Bites -- These were alright, but nothing particularly special. They were missing the signature mochi chewy texture, so they didn't quite feel "mochi" enough to truly be called mochi bites. Sesame Cookie -- Unfortunately, it was too hard and crisp for my liking. Crossubi -- A very unique concept and not bad overall. I just wish the interior wasn't quite as hollow; a little more filling would have elevated it.
