Pedicure service. After being there about 10 min, I received an medical emergency call. I needed to leave right away. They wanted to charge me full price which I was unwilling to pay. I said you didn't finish, I can come back. I was told you must pay full price. I gave partial payment and the owner/manager "screams" at me. "don't ever come back, don't make me mad!, don't ever come back! + a few other choice Vietnamese words" Then men then surrounded me. What!? They were going to become physical over 11 dollars!! Rest assured I will never return, and with that type of interaction, I hope you don't return either. By the way, this incident was witnessed by at least 10 other clients plus the staff. read more

This is ABSOLUTELY, positively the worse nail salon I have ever been to. I would only recommend you go there if you want to be treated poorly. My 1st time going into the shop I witnessed how a dissatisfied customer can be treated as if they are less than a person and disrespected as if the money she spent on services fell out of a tree and had no true value. Then as a consumer I spoke out about how "Nancy" treated the customer on a social media site only to have "Nancy" tell me that she thought I had high class but she was wrong just because I told her I just could not agree with how she treated the young lady. Never thought I would see someone representing a company have so little regards to why they are open in the 1st place...their customers. read more

DO NOT GO HERE or to their other location Anthony Vince! Horrible customer service. First of all the picture they have up here is NOT Lee Nails. They have been in business over 20 years but still try to scam people out of money by pretending they don't understand English and upping the price when you pay. They threatened to call the police on my 13 year old sister when they did this due to a "language barrier". When I had another negative experience myself years later, I went to their Facebook page to see if other people had the same experience. I commented on someone else's review whom they called the police on. The next thing I know, employees of the shop, stole photos of myself and my family, and posted them side by side with photos of people from People of Wal-Mart website in an attempt to cyber-bully and harass me. Very unprofessional. Go somewhere else! read more

Just had a pedicure and it felt rushed and wasn't a great job. Also, their massage chairs do not work when getting a pedicure. Staff is very unorganized when a client requests a specific nail tech. read more

Never in my life have I ever received the kind of treatment and customer service from a business in my entire life. I decided to try Lee's Nail Salon and Spa on Mercury Blvd in Hampton, VA today. The gentleman who did my nails were aggressive and very rude. He was throwing my hands and drilling over my skin causing me to jump in my chair. I asked him to slow down. But, he ignored me and continued to do so. My reaction was to ask for another attendant but I decided to sit there thinking I just won't use him the next time if I come back. But things got progressively worse. He started painting my nails like he had blurred vision. He refused to listen to me when I told him he was painting my skin as well as the nails. He eventually stopped and two other techs had to step in to fix them. My nails were very bumpy and lop sided. When, I complained to the young lady who was ringing me out about the disappointing service, she told me it wasn't her concern because I wasn't her customer and she basically didn't care. I asked for her name and she told me "it was none of my business". She said "If I had an issue then call the owner of the store". This woman basically made me feel as if I had done something wrong when I voiced my complaint about the service. She threw the reciept at me and walked away and left me standing there. I'm currently trying to dispute the charges as I feel the service I received and the embarrassment I felt being spoken to in this manner that they aren't worthy to be in business or be paid for this type of behavior conducted today. These people exhibited to me they care nothing about the customer. They are here to take your money. Nothing else! read more

TRASH CUSTOMER SERVICE. I left a very lengthy detailed review and as SOON as I did, they deleted their Facebook page. They had two. One that had more customers on it and another one that seemed to be not updated as much. If you search for this business on Facebook you will find that page, not the one with all of the actual bad reviews. Not to mention their Manager NANCY (who says she is not the manager when its convenient and other times she is quick to call herself the manager) responds to people's reviews on that page with negativity and rudeness. She is also just as rude in person and will ignore the hell out of you, literally. I stood in front of her asking her a question and she didn't lift her head to look at me not once! It's so sad that such a nice place treats you like shit and like you aren't important or a priority when there is a true issue brought to their attention. OH and everybody at this location barely speaks English so forget about telling them how you want your nails done. I think they just wing it and you end up leaving disappointed with a huge bill. read more

Technician seemed angry, and treated me as though he was doing me a favor applying 'pure gel' to my nails two days ago. He also seemed angered that I pulled my hands out of the heat lamp when it felt like they were burning, and he fussed at me! ~ Imagine that.... Today one of my thumb nails gel coating chipped off. I returned to the same shop and the atmosphere seemed as if I was a bother - so I left - deciding never to bother them with my money again. After visiting another shop, I was told that the reason the gel chipped off was because the technician failed to 'rough up' my nail under the gel first, so the gel could not adhere to it. I was also told that all my nails will soon follow suit! I have NEVER written a review like this before..... Enough said. read more

Today my husband and I decided to go to Lee Nails. He got a Regular Pedicure (no polish of course). I was at the end of mine and getting ready for polish when we were informed that he could no longer sit in the chair beside me. Keep in mind that there were 18 EMPTY chairs. They said the manager "Nancy" said that he had to leave and wait up front. After I was finished I approached the "Manager" , she proceeded to make a huge scene and even told me I was stupid. I have been going there since they opened and was never treated that way. Even the nail techs were embarrassed by her behavior. She made all of the customers believe that she was the owner. So in the end, I will never spend my money in an establishment that treats paying customers like cattle that need to be butchered with verbal abuse. (Note: There were 18 empty chairs) - the only reason this got a star was because it required it to post read more

See all

if u could do a negative 5 i would!!! i will never go here again!!! they are rude no customer service not handicap asessable and the wait is ridiculous because out of 12 stations only two i said two people know how to do pink and white nails. read more

I'm only giving it one star so I can do the review. These people are God awful. The owner Nancy is rude as well of the other people who work for her. I came in to get my nails polished I had had an overlay prior and still had some acrylic in my nails they attempted to just buff it down and polish over top of the chipped acrylic and on my real nail. I became frustrated with them so i politely said that I will not be getting my nails done and that I would just wait to get my eyebrows done they proceeded to call me cheap which I'm not sure how asking for them to not do what they were doing and just take the acrylic off made me cheap when I wasn't looking for a discount I just wanted my nails to be done correctly. All in all I walked out you will not disrespect me and then think that I will pay you for the service no thanks. However the other Nancy that use to work here now has a shop in ptc def go there for better quality service I just happen to already be in this shopping center read more

No nancy i did not have fake nails i had a gel set and you guys put me under the wrong lighting that caused my paint to peel up. I had natural nails and they aren't long enough to break. THE MANAGER TOLD THE GIRL TO ONLY FIX THE NAILS THAT WERE PEELED BUT THAT WAS 9 OF MY NAILS ONLY MY PINKY LASTED...and i told you guys you mine as well do all of them and the manager was very rude to me that's why i was rude back I HAVE A WITNESS THAT WAS THERE. read more

Unprofessional management! If my dog needed a pedicure, I would not allow him to set foot on the site of Lee's Nails. I walked in at 8:15 pm to get a pedicure and the close at 9:00 pm. I was told that the staff had used all of the hot water to clean the chairs and the floor. I was told to wait for the hot water heat up again. So about thirty mins later, the water was still cold. I informed them that I did have somewhere to go. The nail tech said that she would give me a free polish for my inconvenience. After she told the owner this, the owner said I must be charged $9.00. I asked why would I pay $9.00 for a polish today and turn around and spend more money tomorrow on a pedicure. This shop had already wasted thirty mins of my time, here I am with no pedicure and I am being asked to pay for someone to slap polish on my feet. I could've done this myself. So the owner would not come over to discuss anything with me, she sent her "manager" over. The "manager" states that if I pay for a polish, they'll give me a design for free. I told her I didn't want a design! I said from a business aspect I should not be handled in this manner, they are the ones that don't have hot water. She said it wasn't their fault and from her standpoint if she gave me a free polish, it was no guarantee that I would come back for the pedicure. Then the manager began speaking in her native language which I couldn't understand. So I asked her, you can speak into the air, but you can't speak to me? She said I have a customer, talk to the manager. I said I'm done talking, thank you all for nothing. It was too many fails from this business for me. First of all, why don't they have hot water and the business was still open for another forty five mins. Also, my time was not valuable to them as I waited thirty mins for the water to heat up and it never did. Thirdly, the nail tech had already promised me a free polish, so the owner should've honored that. Lastly, the owner should have addressed me directly. They would rather gain $9.00 than lose a customer and positive feedback regarding their business. read more

Worst experience of my life. They threatened to CALL THE POLICE on me! This was my first time at this salon and I will never return after being treated this way. I asked for a polish change on my toes and gel manicure which she said was 39. The girl starts on my toes and I ask if this is all for just a polish change and she says yes. At the end of the already crappy service she charges me $50. She brings over another worker to translate since she barely spoke English and they force me to pay the money even though she told me the wrong thing in the beginning. I am trying to resolve the issue quietly and they say they're calling the police on me. (Over a $10 mistake!) This girl should not be in the front or working at the nail salon if she can not speak English nor is licensed! As the customer they shouldn't have treated me this way over a miscommunication that was their fault. read more

Came in for a full set mani and pedi at aound 2:30pm Tues May 2 , 2017. My pedicure was very nice, it did feel like he barely put any effort into the massage but the pedicure itself came out really nice. Now when we got to the actual manicure part, that's a whole other story. He began the full set manicure as usual and then it got to the point where he wanted to know what shape and how long did I want them. I explain I wanted them to be square but not to square (Square round) He then begins to insist that I get "coffin" I proceed to tell him that I didn't want that shape, yet he continues to insist that I get coffin. Giving that it was 3;45pm and I was now ready to go, I let him do the coffin. When he was about finish, I look at the nails and tell him that this didn't look like coffin nor did it look even.He tells me that he wasn't finished and that it would look better when he is done. When he did finally finished he then rushes me up and to the register to pay, then immediately rushes to the back of the salon after I gave him my payment. The next day, I come in and the nail tech that had done my nails, sees me and comes to me so fast to ask what the problem was, I basically inform him that he didn't do such a good job and I would like them redone without the coffin shape. He tells me that I couldn't get my nails redone and that basically my nails looked fine and that I would just have to be okay with that. At that point I am getting upset because he is technically telling me that he wasn't going to fix the problem. Then started speaking to one of the other nail techs, and I guess she told him to try to fix the problem. He sits me down and starts to tell me that he was only going to reshape them, I say no I don't want you to "retry" I want a whole new shape. If he couldn't do the coffin the first time then I damn sure don't want you to try again. Then he gets mad, and starts speaking to one of the nail techs again while pointing at my 18 month old daughter. Then he walks out the of the nailshop completely. The woman nail tech asked me to come over to her station to take a look at my nails, she goes to tell me to fix my nails the way I wanted them it would be 45 dollars. NO NO NO NO I paid 40 dollars for you to do my nails the way I wanted them and I'm not giving you another dime. She then tells me to remove myself from her station because I was disturbing her customer. I was like excuse me but you called me over to you. When she finally gets me in her chair she one tells me that I need to find soneone to watch my kid ( she was in a stroller) then she goes to fix one nail and really actually makes them look like the coffin shape, but like I said I really didn't want them from the start and since he did a poor job, I no longer want this shape. She tells me that she can only fix the coffin and that's it, If I didn't want her to fix that then I needed to get up out her chair and she flipped her hands at me telling me to leave. I tell her I'm not leaving unless I get my money back, she says she won't give me anything back. So I asked her was she the manager, she tells me no so after that I got up and said I will be contacting her manager. read more

Rude, and very slow and sloppy. The manager did my lashes, which partially fell off 8 days later. I've never seen lashes done so poorly. Then, I go to get them fixed, and I wait over an hour, while she helps other people. She did three eyebrow waxings, which were probably horrible as well, while I waited. I address her bad lash job and she gets mad and refuses to do them, AFTER I waited for an hour. She got in her feelings, the rude manager, because I told her she sucks at lashes and she was horrible at customer service. read more

I could not wait to return home to write this review while it was fresh in mind! I gave this nail shop a two for cleanliness and appearance. I noted their customer service skills to be woefully inadequate. My technician was an older male. He did not tell me his name. I complimented on the appearance of the shop twice it was really nice. He did not say thank you. After attempting to communicate to him what I wanted done to my fingernails and toenails it was downhill from there. He understood I wanted a full-set and pedicure, but when it came to the specifics of what I wanted he had much difficulty understanding. At one point I asked out loud if there was anyone there to help him understand my requests. His co-worker came over to assist and she was not much better. I really should have taken a picture with me. If you are going to provide services to a predominantly English speaking public you should have command of the English language or at least someone there that can communicate English effectively! Their broken English and tone sounded like they were being rude. It would also be extremely helpful if they were required to pass an English test and Customer service class before being given a business license. I was appalled when another male worker was asking customers that were arriving, "may I help you baby or may I help you honey?" I would rather go to a nail shop that is less appealing to the eye, is professional and able to communicate effectively and do your nails the way you request. Appearances aren't everything. Like the old saying goes, "you can't judge a book by its cover." My husband did compliment me and said my nails looked pretty. So what! It wasn't what I asked for! This was my first and last time at this establishment! read more

Poor nail service and stole extra money off my credit card. I usually go into Lee Nails to only get my eyebrows done. I decided to take a chance and get a pedicure. Worst pedicure ever. The nail tech was upset because she messed up the designs on my toes a few times. She had to redo the designs like 3 times and I still walked out with one smeared art on big toe. I was done at that point. I paid for services rendered but without a tip. I signed my receipt for 25.00 and put a line across the tip section. Also, left a message on receipt. I looked at my bank statement 4/13/17 noticed they charged more money 30.00 on 4/1/17 without my consent. Lee Nails refuse to give me back my money after nail tech showed me my receipt in her phone ( took a pic because of the message I left on receipt). I called the police and she refused to show proof to police. I don't like how they conduct business. You do NOT steal from people!!!!BEWARE OF LEE NAILS... read more

Its terrible I have to write this review. I have come to this salon for over a year to get my eye lashes done and I recently had a horrible experience. The only woman there who does lashes was so rude to me and I have no idea why I have always been more than pleasant to her. She had no one she was working with she flat out told me she wasn't doing anything until 10 am (even one of the employees told me she never heard her say that when they are open they are open and she is just mean like that sometimes) when they open the store at 9:30 I waited for 30 minutes as she her changed out of her gym cloths, put on her make up in the front, and ignored me. at 10am I asked her if she was doing lashes now and she told me no after I patiently waited her 30 minutes). I have no idea why she was in such a terrible mood, but I have never done anything to her. I have always been poilet and even always tiped her 5.00+ every time I come.... So I left and found another salon since there is one every 2 miles and everyone does lashes. I posted a review on their business facebook page as that's what reviews are for so customers can give honest opinions on their visits and was then I was cyber bullied by the owner who took screen shots of 8 or 9 of my pictures and left all kinds of raciest comments and remarks. She posted side by sides of pictures of terrible looking woman I guess in an attempt to hurt my feelings. So unprofessional is this a business or high school????????? So of course they were reported and blocked immediately and I will file a formal complaint with the better business bureau and I will post this on every review site in hopes she understands treating customers in such a rude and dismissive manor for no reason at all is bad business and shows a persons character. Of course I will never visit this business again and share with everyone I know and those I don't. My awful experience. read more

I went to lee nails today in Hampton for a Mother's Day treat to get a pedicure. I was very displeased at the service I received. I have been a long time customer to this establishment and have never received the rude service that I did today . The gentleman that was doing my pedicure was very rude , he told me that I talk too much and would I please stop talking at first I thought he was joking because I couldn't believe that he would say that . He said it again , he said he'd had a busy day and didn't feel like talking . I was just trying to be polite and make friendly conversation , I thought he'd feel the same because that's good customer service. I was definitely wrong . When it was time to paint my nails he didn't put the flip flops or toe dividers that are supposed to be provided with the service so I asked for them he just ignored me so I asked again and he grabbed them out of the drawer and sighed while rolling his eyes and shaking his head . I was in complete shock . At the end of the pedicure he said to me ... You need to get up because someone else needs this chair . I was I disbelief of how rude this gentleman was to me . I went there to relax and enjoy a nice Mother's Day treat and due to his extreme rude behavior that didn't happen . I ask to speak to someone who was in charge/ manager so I could explain what had happened . When I did it was just treated very lightly like it was no big deal . I understand they were very busy due to the Mother's Day holiday but that is no excuse for rudeness what so ever ! I will definitely look else where the next time I need a pedicure which is unfortunate because as I mentioned before I have been a long time customer. Too bad so sad :( read more
