The fields were also bustling with kids throwing footballs, running and playing. The basketball court and tennis courts, also full, kept older teenagers and adults out in the sunshine and active. Two-hour street parking seemed relatively easy to come by, and with the library and a community center right there, the space is perfect for all things Saturday.

This park is a prime spot for softball and baseball games, so be sure to make reservations if your league plans to use a field here, as the place gets busy, especially at the field we were at because it had lights -- essential for summer night games.

First of all, this park is HUGE! We walked around the center or the park and we passed by 3 playgrounds, one huge dog park and a garden. There was also a climbing area and they have ropes there for that too. It doesn't look too fun since it was burning hot. The dog park though .. OMG it's amazing! There are tons of little bushes for doggies to pee and jump around... Or play hide and seek. I love seeing all the doggies run around without a leash. I think it's just so wonderful and they all look super happy. Two huge doggies came to play with us and I got to pat them. They are super fluffy!!! I can't even tell the breed but they are huge with long fur! My daughter was in a carrier on me and she was a bit nervous when the doggies sniffied her feet, but overall she was fine with it. I also think this is also for dog owners to meet and mingle... Dog friends anyone? The garden is mostly for people to plant stuff, so it wasn't too interesting. There was also a performance area with a ticket booth, and several spots for picnic. Ps. Pay the $1 parking fee, or worry about the possible fine when you are spending time at the park.

Large gravel lot for parking Pay at gate for entry ($5 adult, kids under 7 free) Concession had lots of options including ice cream man ice cream,burgers, etc. Real bathrooms and sinks were clean. No playground meant my 3 yr old was grumpy. And not really an area for him to run and play except the main path where there was constant foot traffic. The fields were very well maintained. Not much space between fields so it seemed more crowded than it was. Bleacher seating but lots of parents brought their own chairs.
