I can only say positive things about this group…read more Doctors are extremely attentive and appointments feel properly spaced out to accommodate the full needs of patients. The clinic is busy, but the system and secretaries make things run quite smooth. I'm a rather difficult case, presenting with angle recession glaucoma following an injury I had over 15 years ago. After a botched attempt in changing my eyedrop regiment at another clinic, Dr. Coburn's team accepted me as a patient and asked me to come by ASAP. As bad as the situation was, Dr. Coburn set me back on the right path. When I'm in a critical point in my care, the doctors here are willing to make exceptions. Dr. Queen has placed a beautiful shunt in my eye. I can't see it. Post-op check ups are frequent and I feel comfortable as a patient. Compared to other clinics, communication is quick and much needed emergency visits are taken seriously. Hard to get care this good anywhere.

Dr. Lee is hilarious, forward, and has a great bedside manner. He thoroughly explains my diagnoses and treatment options and always lets me decide how I want to treat my chronic illness without forcing his medical opinion - yet he gives good support and advice. The treatment and care I've received is why I always tell my husband if anything ever happens to me, take me to Methodist for treatment. You feel like you're on Grey's Anatomy with all of the med students, fellows, and residents that accompany him, but you also learn more about your illness/situation. I can't recommend Dr. Lee and Methodist Eye enough to those in need of specialist care.

Friendly and attentive staff! Good experience all around…read more I accompanied my mom today for her patient. She's a new patient and was referred by her PCP. This was our first experience with HEA. At first glance, I thought this was a standard office building that HEA was renting a space or two out of. Nope. Instead, they own the entire building. With that in mind, they really offer everything you could want and need relating to eye care, from optometry to all your different ophthalmologic subspecialties. My mom was here for a recommended annual visit. We went to the second floor. The front desk staff was nice and prompt in getting us checked in. Highly recommend doing the previsit info through your phone so you can be settled in faster. We arrived a bit earlier than her appointment and waited about 10 minutes before being called in, earlier than the scheduled time which was great. The provider who did the initial the initial tests was informative and efficient. She explained all of the tests as she did them and without much issue. Before you knew it, we were already back in the waiting room for Dr. Lim to go over all of the tests that my mom did. Similarly, Dr. Lim was thorough and took the time to educate us on what was going on along with his professional recommendations. My mom felt comfortable making a decision once everything was done. After getting checked out, there is luckily an eyeglasses store on the ground level. We did not opt for prescription glasses there (yet) but the folks there were also friendy. Overall, as our first experience with HEA, it was great and superb in every facet. Shoutout to Dr. Lim and the staff in his clinic on April 14th.

I have a serious genetic disorder that runs in my family which causes the lens to rapidly dislocate…read morearound the age of 40. This caused my great grandmother to become blind and my grandmother almost lost her vision. When I was referred to Dr. Koch half my zonules were gone and my lenses were actively dislocating. Dr. Koch suggested an approach that was different from the surgery my mom and grandmother received - one that involved putting a new lens in the normal place it would be (as opposed to on top of the iris) and held there by two rings that are sewed to the sides of my eye wall. Dr. Koch saved my vision and he is my hero! He performed extremely complex surgeries on both eyes. Not only is he one talented and amazing surgeons but he also possesses a gentleness and calmness matched by none. His bedside manner is superb! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Koch and words constantly fail me when I try. He is the best.

The large folds…read morein my cornea caused extreme night vision problems making it very difficult to drive at night or even be outside after dark. I was terrified to have the invasive surgery required to fix the macrostraie, as with any surgery it came with additional risks. Dr. K was patient while I hesitated but took a firm stance on the best approach to permanently fix my problem. He always responded timely to my e-mails filled with questions and never rushed the many office visits throughout the 9 months it took me to gather the courage for the surgery. Dr. Koch is an AMAZING surgeon! He meticulously placed A LOT (too many to count) of microscopic sutures in my cornea at the exact positions to straighten out my cornea properly, a procedure that I believe he invented. At my last check, up he was absolutely delighted (big smile) at the improvement in my vision and the health of my eye. Dr. Koch truly cares for his patients and is extremely passionate about his profession which also involves teaching the students at Baylor University. If you are enduring a vision problem, I highly recommend Dr. Koch! He is the BEST! I am his patient for life and would not trust the care of my eyes to anyone else. Dr. Koch will always do his best and I truly admire his work ethic, skilled hands, knowledge, and intelligence. He restored a quality of life to me that I doubted could return.... which is HUGE. Thank you once again Dr. K! Important Side note: Dr. Koch did not perform my LASIK surgery

It Has been a long journey and still never did my contacts as he promised that I won't be using glasses it took a year and at the end he completely lie to me and never wanted to really fix or correct the prescription for my contacts. He send his nurse to tell me that he will send the contacts back to Baylor Lab to be corrected and they will be mail about 3,to 7 days time pass I start calling living messages with customers service because is impossible to speak with no one at that department. I call so many time that the lady that I spoke so many times at customer service told me to call complain Departement. I did call and took about two months for some one respond. Then he told me. To call Mrs. Pam I call her so many time and left messages but she never did. I call him again few times left him messages that lady never have contacted me. Finally she call me but she was like to talk to Trump or to a rock. For her position she never show any courtesy or willing to help me. I spend $1,850 for contacts that Dr. Manuel said on July 12, 2017 that Dr.Weikert recommend me to see him dor him to evaluate me for contacts. But I went to Dr. weikert because my Eye Dr refer me to see him in which I have to see him few times because he got my eye glasses prescription wrong. Then he insisted for me to visit with Dr Manuel, I agree too see him because I was and I am getting so many head ake and my glasses are getting heavy that around my cheeks and no use and my ear is very uncomfortable and painful; well Dr Manuel said that if agree to go ahead with the contacts it will take a while to perfession my contacts and if I be patient it will be what I want and I won't need no longer to need to used glasses. Well he completely disappointed me because it has been more than a year and he never have the intention to do my contacts as he said. I still using glasses and spend all that money. Time driving a long way and my Husband lost more than twelve days of work during all that time plus parking, mileage, gas and cost of food. Also every time I went they dialating my eyes and I could use the contacts that he promise. Mrs. Pam just told me that she could arrange to see another Doctor but I will start all over plus pay again. I was so vivid, upswept, disappointed and also was felt betrayed and a Clinic that supostly is so good completely took my money, my time my expectections that I was going to be able to use contacts and no more glasses. I will tell you that go to some place else because they are there to get your money and don't deliver what they promise. Mrs. Pat I don't know how you got that position that you have because you don't have the tactic to speak or sympathy or courtesy to be able to resolve a problem that is obviously cause by Dr Manuel and your Baylor Lab and your staff. I will tell everyone never go to them. I want Dr Manuel to call me and also Baylor refund all my money and suffering and other expenses because I never could use or get the contacts.
