My only issue is that when they called me to schedule an appointment I scheduled on the day they suggested. After the appointment when I sat to get a new prescription, they checked my benefits and told me I was there one day early for my plan to cover it. (Yes, I should have checked when I was there last, but I assumed they had done this before my appointment). I received a bill for the full appointment and my insurance wouldn't work with me (Spectera through UHC) even though I had paid for the insurance all year and it was the only time I had used it, they wouldn't budge on paying the bill. My advice... do not assume this clinic verifies benefits prior to your appointment.

So I simply let my feet do the talking. Adios. Really it's too bad though since I've been going to Mann Berkeley way back in the 90's and then followed Berkeley after the split with Mann. But one bad apple (or store) can ruin everything.

When I did my consultation with Dr Su, she was so friendly and informative and I commend her on having both types of LASIK done on each eye to be an excellent doctor. From the moment I checked in to the surgery to check out, everything went so smooth. I was in and out in less than 1 hour. Now my surgeon, Dr January, I appreciated him taking time to check my eyes once more before the surgery and doing such a wonderful job because I can finally see without glasses. 10/10 recommendations and 5 stars for the whole experience.

It's been a pleasant experience from the first day I picked up the phone to call and ask questions from CINDY. Everyone was really kind and caring which made me feel really comfortable . Dr. Scott Segal is a professional at what he does and he was very kind, informative, and caring. I did thorough research into who I should pick to go with for my lasik surgery and I'm glad to have picked him. I'm currently recovering from the procedure and it seems to be going great. Dr. Scott also gave me his personal number in case I have any questions or concerns. All information regarding financing, prescriptions, and scheduling were easy to follow. I had my post op checkup this morning and I already have 20/25 vision :).

I find it strange that when a patient makes an appointment with a specific doctor and waits until there is an opening to see that doctor that the patient is seen by someone else. I am unsure if the doctor I saw is an optometrist or an ophthalmologist. I addition, it is important for people to know that they add a percentage to credit card payments and do not take checks over $100. Fortunately I have a debit card.
