Ledos pizza is different than most. So, don't compare it to a Neapolitan pizza. I've been eating Ledo's pizza for years. I've also been going to the Falls Church location for years. I usually pick up a half baked, but this time I decided to dine in. The service was excellent. The waitress couldn't have been more accommodating, cordial, or friendly. We sat on the bar side for the first time and it looked like a real nice neighborhood place where people could come and feel comfortable. Definitely a place to check out for some unique pizza. Pretty solid spot for takeout with a different pizza vibe then you may be used to. I ordered two pies, one with pepperoni and bacon and another with jalapenos and peppers and bacon. Cheese ratio is good and it only took 15 minutes or so to come out. I did miss when they used to do bacon bit like pieces, here each slice had like 1/4 a piece of bacon on top of the pepperoni which was both comical and also random. My son was craving lasagna and have heard great things of this place. We order for takeout and it was prepared and ready within 20 minutes. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted and the food was already sitting on the pick-up shelf. Once back home from order to pick-up, it was about 45 minutes. The food was a little cold, which we had to put back in the oven. Overall, the lasagna noodles was a little on the thicker side and the cheese was grainy. It may have just been that it was not hot. This Ledo Pizza has been in Falls Church for years!!! Over 25 years per their website. We've been customers for at least over 15 years. Their food has been consistently good but service can be spotty at times. When you come into the dining area to the left, you seat yourself in their massive booths or half booth half chair table. It's pretty dark. There are tvs on the walls. To the right is the bar area and in front middle is pick up for take away. This visit was on a Sunday evening. #Sundayfunday as Ledo Pizza calls it. Every Sunday, it's AYCE spaghetti dinner for $9.99 per person & $6.99 for children 12 & under. You can add meatballs and/or sausage or other items for an additional fee. Plus you get garlic bread as well. They start you off with a large bowl of spaghetti and sauce. It's at least one or two servings. After that, you can have more. We only finished or barely finished one bowl. When you come, come hungry. It's not the greatest spaghetti and meatballs but it's decent. The garlic bread is buttered toasted italian bread. No garlic flavor at all. Be that as it may, come hungry if you want to get your money's worth. Oh and please don't waste food. You can't take leftovers home. So please finish what you can. This Ledo Pizza location from a food perspective does represent the franchise well. They do the thin, crispy crust perfectly and the cheese and sauce quantity was acceptable. While the franchise pizza is not amazing pizza, this location is the best I have had. The prices are acceptable. The service, however, was not the best since it was quite slow while we were there for Saturday lunch. A family that came in after us actually left since they waited around 10 minutes without being waited on. They only had 1 staff member working the entire dining area. The interior ambiance is acceptable. We like that they keep the music volume low so we can talk. The interior design is nothing special with minimal decorations. I'm gonna be like I'm not a huge pizza fan, but Ledo pizza is the best pizza I will ever have! My family goes there frequently, we consider it way better than most other pizza chains. Ledo pizza is so good, I love the thin, square crust and the sauce and cheese is so flavorful! Ledo pizza style is so unique, I wish all pizza sauce was was like this. I love the wide variety of toppings for the pizza. They also have salads, wings, calzones, and other Italian classics. Servers are always super friendly, they make you feel at home! Many families go to Ledo Pizza together, but it doesn't get too crowded so you'll be able to find a table. On 1/26/23 I was asked to get a pizza from my wife. Ledo's Pizza is a place I have eaten at with my family years ago in Falls Church. I found what had to eat delicious. This said, I was hoping to having the same great experience as I did back then. Ordering the food by phone didn't work on the first two tries, because of phone difficulties on both ends. The third time was a success. I order a small veggie pizza for my wife and a medium sized pizza for me. The pizza was ready when I arrived and I was in and out pretty quickly. Unfortunately when I started eatting the pizza, I felt a little strange. Sometimes one's intuition does always kick in immediately. I ended up eatting a few more sliced before my body and mind said "put the pizza down and go to the bathroom." Whatever extra ingredient(s) were in the pizza powered through me. Willy Wonka's chocolate water came to life, but for ingesting. Even after an hour waterfalls, I was still feeling sick. The sickness did not clear until around 12pm the following day. On 1/27/23 I had time to reflect and think about how unsafe practices could be going on at Ledo's Pizza. Maybe this is a one time thing, but I don't wish to eat their food again and a store credit for something else would not suffice with me. After work I return the Ledo's Pizza and ended up speaking to 3 different people before i could get a refund. As I suspected, I was first offered an instore credit for something else. I said "no thank you. I would like a refund for the pizza i ordered." The general manager had to get on the phone to get an authorization for a refund. While waiting for the manager to get an authorization for a refund, a woman came in the store with a pizza box and said this wasn't hers and that it was someone else's. I commend her on her honesty. The next thing I saw was the blonde female employee look at the pizza box, wait for the female customer to leave then put the same pizza box that been outside the store in another customer order. The right one I might add. How many dangerous possibilities of cross contamanation will the next person get? I do not know, but this did not sit well with me at all. I think about pizza I ate last night. Mike or Molly could have had a bowel movement and not washed their hands before making my pizza and other people's food. The general manager got off the phone and did issue me a refund. I got the idea that telling him what I just saw would have gone through one ear and out the other. I do not recommend eatting here. Upon getting my refund, I turn to leave and saw the food order for someone with the cross contaminated pizza box was gone. I saw the person who got the order had not gone to her car yet. I would like to take a moment to commend the young men, Joseva and Kevin, who worked the front tonight on Halloween. I was really appalled to see how folks, specifically, an older woman in a pink shirt (I'm speaking to you!) complaining that her pizza was taking an hour. Since when is an hour a long wait for a pizza, especially on Halloween, one of the busiest pizza ordering nights? She accosted these two young men, making them feel physically uncomfortable, stammering how long she has waited and being emotionally abusive demanding to speak with the manager, receive a full refund, and still receive her pizza. She then had her husband call the store to harass the workers, demanding he speak with a manager and declining to provide his name and number for the general manager to return his call tomorrow when they're back in office. The sense of entitlement to 1) speak to Joseva and Kevin in an emotionally abusive way and 2) act like their time was more precious than the rest of us waiting for our orders, was a disgrace. I want the general managers to know that Kevin and Joseva handled this very challenging night with professionalism and grace. Those waiting and witnessing the husband be belligerent to them on the phone all commended them after for their ability to remain calm and professional. Ledo Pizza is a family favorite pizza place with a few regional locations. I've been to Winchester and Falls Church and menu, service and quality is the same. They have GREAT wings and their signature pizza is square shaped. They have the best pepperoni (large thick slices), italian sausage and their sauce is delicious. Their pizza is a cross between frozen pizza and Little Caesar. We had a deluxe, their version of a classic supreme, except it was doused with a pound of cooked bacon. The bacon tasted like really thin fake bacon. It was so greasy I had to pay it down with two paper towels. The next time I have a pizza craving, we'll be going elsewhere. Okay, we all know Ledo Pizza is a chain. You ain't finding no "New Yawk-ah" pizza quality nor anything of that nature. Ledo is where you go when you are in need of a quick fix to satiate that pizza craving and you don't want to travel 30 minutes to the closest NY-style pizza. This is one of the best things about America - if you want something now, you can get near-instant gratification - and that was what I got when I was pulling into the Trader Joe's parking lot. I saw Ledo's beckoning me, and I succumbed. To my delight, having not eaten Ledo's for close to a couple years, it did not disappoint. By no means was it the best pizza ever, but it satisfied my craving for a heavy-load of toppings over a thin crust, a light layer of oily-ness on top to indicate that it would be muy deliciouso, and a side of their "jumbo wings" to cap off the night. The wings were surprisingly good, probably one of the better pizza-joint wings that I've had, likely due to the large and meaty presence they have. I ordered them dry/plain with the sauces (ranch, buffalo, old bay) on the side, which they happily provided one of each sauce. Any true wings connoisseur knows that such chicken wings should be had crisp, and a sauce will only reduce the crunch that bites back; accordingly, have the sauce on the side! TL;DR: When you're in a crunch and you're in the area to pick up some groceries at Trader Joe's, stop into Ledo, place an order, and finish your grocery shopping. Incredibly satisfying, I wish I had discovered Ledo's earlier! I've never actually eaten there, so I can't speak for their dining room or table service, but their pizzas are incredible. I've taken out my fair share and have never been disappointed. It's one of my comfort foods, which I would think is a pretty high compliment. My favorite pizza is the meat lovers and it has thick cut pepperoni and big chunks of sausage and meatball. The ingredients always taste so fresh and the crust is good too, although on the soggier side. If you want to firm it up, ask for it to be well done. We generally order a small pizza and some wings or some pasta for a great meal that is just enough to hit the spot, but without over doing it or having left overs. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza to go for $15. Pizza comes out rectangular instead of circular. Pizza here is thin-crust. While waiting for our order, we stopped by Trader Joes to pick up some $5 sparkling wine. When we got home, we unexpectedly added some of our own lightly stir-fried bell peppers, mushrooms, and more cheese. Along with our $1 redbox movie rental, we had a nice relaxing dinner and a movie. Ledo seems like a regional classic, so I decided it was finally time to give it a try to see how it measures up. I ordered two pizzas and a salad for carry out. The pizza's thin crust itself is a little underwhelming, it's a bit cracker-like and doesn't take on any color, so the flavor is lacking, particularly on edge pieces. But much to my surprise, the thin crust makes for a really solid balance on the middle pieces. Seems like a lot of pizza is all bread and not much substance, so I think the square shape and cut really works for this style of crust. I figured I would have leftovers, and boy did I...for days! I definitely learned my lesson about not over ordering, but let's just say none of it went to waste. I feel like the leftover factor is important any time I get pizza, so I liked that Ledo's was still delicious and snackable at all temperatures and times of day. The ladies at the front were nice and continued to check on my food. After an hour someone realized that my order had been placed in the wrong area and was cold. Cool little pizza joint. It was quiet and the service was lightening fast. I guess my family used to come here 15-20 years ago or so, so I was dying to check it out. I had the Ledo Italian salad and it was really good. A little shy on the most Italian part... the salami, pepperoni, and provolone, but they nailed it on the dressing. It was a Ledo Romano Cheese and Herb dressing and was tossed into the salad. It was just the right amount and was yummy. It was a good salad. The calzone we had was really good, so I'm told. Sauce on the side, which was nice. They have gluten free pizza and it's pretty decently priced compared to some pizza joints. I didn't try it this time, but the next time I'm in town I will for sure. This was my second time visiting Ledo's. I know I'd been before but I couldn't remember the experience. Last night we ordered takeout - cheese and pepperoni pizza, boneless wings, and fries ravioli. First, the pros: -crunchy ravioli and delicious red sauce for dipping -great boneless wings - good sauce with just the right amount of heat, no tough or gristly pieces, and not over cooked -delicious ranch dressing (hard to find around here!) -nice, thick-cut pepperoni and the right amount of cheese on the pizza; the sauce is great, too. The only con: The pizza crust is literally the worst I have ever had, that I can remember anyway. I'm not sure how to describe it even - super thin, no structure, no rise or flavor at all really - like a cross between a stale wheat cracker and convenience store pizza crust (you know, the pizza in the rotating glass case that's been sitting there for hours, sweaty and tough). That sounds harsh but I am totally stumped by how many locations Ledo has and how unbelievably bad the pizza crust is. It's bad enough that I will probably avoid their pizza in the future and stick to the appetizers. Maybe the crust was old? Or maybe it sat out in a hot kitchen too long, rose too much, and then lost its structure (and any self worth it might have had) when it was punched down to be pressed into a pizza? I'm not kidding - a pita would have made a better crust. 3.5 stars is more appropriate then 3 since everything else was good. A decent crust would make this place worthy of five stars. read more

I usually like this place but today I left disappointed. We got our bill and then waited for 10 minutes to check out. At the 10 minute mark I decided to go pay at the carry out area. It was explained im supposed to for My server but she'll check me out. And they'd been helping the customers that just came in. I'm still a customer until I leave so why explain to me the mew customers were basically more important than me? the food was great today and up until that point service was ok. This Ledo's is right down the street from the University I work at so I am grateful for that. The staff is always friendly and it's always a good lunch crowd on either side of this place. When you walk in, you have the front counter where people come to pick up call in orders or to place take-out orders. Then on the right is the pub (bar) area and on the left the restaurant. All seat yourself which is cool as well. When I use to eat chicken Ledo's wings were my thing but now it's a different story lol. I've been a patron of this particular Ledo's for several years. I live a few miles away and stop in for happy hour on the way home from work. The happy hour prices are good, the food is good - the Wings and Pizza are my favourite - I've grown to know the wait staff, the bartenders and even the kitchen staff - all have been very friendly and attentive. There is the resteraunt side, which I use and the bar side which I use more frequently. A few months ago they switched over to a new manager which has changed the entire vibe of the customers and staff. My issue was not with the closing hours, but with other changes mentioned (lack of your standard beers) and the pushing of new "trendy" apricot, IPA, and other fruity beers on tap, which don't seem to sell leading the patrons to order bottles, which are always running short. The AC is constantly off or not working and the bathroom is a mess, without properly stocked paper or soap. The new management is walking around looking for mistakes instead of being proactive in his duties. On top of that, I have witnessed the new management act very unprofessional towards his staff several times. More than once I've seen him scolding and correcting staff in front of patrons in an unprofessional and demeaning way (in this case the waitress was not at fault, but had no chance to explain) Another was a case of a customer complaint in which the manager immediately blamed the staff in front of the customers in a way I assume he thought was funny. In summary, the quality has declined and management seems to be busy pointing out others faults instead of leading by example. I won't be back any time soon for drinks or food. read more

What a disaster. Nothing about this place is good. A friend and I stopped in after a long day of jeans shopping at tysons. I mention this because it means we would've eaten and enjoyed almost anything. But this was that bad. We ordered the veg out pizza, but asked for goat cheese and spinach on only half. We wound up getting spinach on no part of the pizza, and no basil on half. We were basically eating bread with sauce and a few veggies. It was not good. The fact that it was served on a cafeteria tray was just kind of gross. The service was awful. When we walked in, it wasn't clear if we should seat ourselves, so we looked to a waitress. Three of the them standing in the back just stared back at us without saying a word. Throughout the evening it was clear they couldn't be more pissed to be working there. They all just stood around doing nothing and giving angry looks. No one ever said, when we were clearly looking around for our server - she's over there, she will be with you shortly.
