We ordered delivery from Anthony's one night while we were in town. The food arrived on time and it was still nice and warm! I ordered a 10oz New York Steak with a side salad and balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was nice and refreshing and the steak was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly! My daughter ordered the Oklahoma Smashed Burger with a side of chips. The burger was as big as her head! LOL! She said it was very greasy but very good! I was pretty impressed she almost ate the whole thing! She had been craving chips and these ones appeared homemade--she said those were good too! Was happy we were able to try this place out while we were in town! read more

Anthony's is the perfect place for a family (or friend group) meal. The extensive menu offers Greek, Italian, and American options--sure enough to please anyone's palate. Going with a big group of adults and kids mix, the restaurant was very accommodating in pulling tables together and having a separate table section for the kiddos. The food was not only delicious but the portion sizes are well worth the price! read more

I hadn't been to this restaurant in a couple years but the minute I ordered the question popped in my mind is this place Under New Management? The quality the food is not worth the price anymore. I could absolutely taste a difference in the quality. Additionally they've decided to stop serving sandwiches with any side less than an additional minimum of $1.50. I guess this is why the restaurant was basically empty when I walked in. The couple in the booth in front of me who had been there when I arrived was only just getting their Pizza as I was leaving. I sure hope the new management can turn it around, I know I won't be back. read more

Once again Feven was our waitress and she continues to be friendly, attentive and willing to please. I ordered the pastitsio with string beans and both were just as good as before - hats off to the chef for his consistancy. Still good bread but could not get any real butter. They are only offering a plain strong olive oil which is not my preference. A lighter Olive Oil with some herbs would have been more palatable. read more

I cannot understand why a tuna dub, side of French fries with an ice tea needs to cost 26.00!! This is awful!

Change in ownership. Change in pricing and portion size. Ultimate example of shrinkflation. $100 for 3 people for just a meal and no drinks. No chips with sandwiches. Is Brad served at all anymore? Everyone go there a little less of something. Very sad. Went from "go to" to gone to. read more

I've been coming to this restaurant since 2023, which makes my experience today particularly disappointing. I've never felt compelled to leave a review like this before. I came in to pick up an order my wife had placed. When I arrived, the waitress at the front was having a conversation with friends. I waited patiently for them to finish. As her friends were leaving, they noticed me standing there and actually apologized for keeping me waiting. The waitress then asked what I needed, and I explained that I was picking up an order. She told me to wait, but instead of checking on my order or giving me an update, she went back onto the floor and appeared to occupy herself with other things. What happened next is what concerned me most. A white male customer came in after me, and she immediately approached him and asked how she could help. She then stopped another employee and specifically asked him to assist that customer. His order wasn't ready either, yet he received immediate attention while I continued to sit there without any acknowledgment or update. After approximately another 10 minutes, a different employee finally noticed me and asked if I had been helped. As a biracial man, I can't say what motivated the difference in treatment, and I don't want to make an accusation I can't substantiate. What I can say is that the difference in how we were treated was noticeable and made me extremely uncomfortable. Watching someone who arrived after me receive immediate attention and assistance while I was essentially ignored was difficult to overlook. Regardless of the reason, no customer should be made to feel invisible. Having been a customer since 2023, I genuinely hope management takes this seriously. I've enjoyed supporting this restaurant over the years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. read more

I have been a here a few times. The atmosphere is casual and their service has been consistently good. You can tell when you look around at the clientele that there are some regulars, which I really like to see. On to the food. One of my favorite options is the steak and cheese sub. It's one of the better ones in the area. The ingredients are fresh and generous, and they are wrapped in a nice soft roll. I usually pair it with some fries and I am good to go! Give it a try! read more

Have been here several times a year for breakfast due to the proximity to the nearby Honda dealership. Quality had dropped over the past several years so, I quit eating there. Recently, ended up there for lunch with friends on a Sunday and was quite surprised. Great service and food, the cost for four of us was reasonable. Will definitely be returning. If you've been disappointed by a previous visit, give it another chance. read more

Used to always get from here when we serviced our cars because it's located near the dealer. My son always got the Fettuccini Alfredo with Grilled Chicken entree $32.00 (not worth the price even if the food wasn't spoiled). Last time he got it there was a hair in it. Tried it again but this time the Chicken or sauce was spoiled so I called to complain. They credited back $27.00 not the full amount, which is bad business. I assume they are charging for the side salad. They already lost our business from the spoiled food but they're also getting the bad review for not refunding the full amount. Badly done!! read more

I haven't been to this popular local restaurant in a while. We had a good size group and we were very happy with the service and the ability to do separate checks. They specialize in Greek and Italian food. The menu is large plus they have specials. We devoured the garlic bread. We enjoyed crab cakes, Greek salads, spaghetti with meat sauce, chicken sandwich, ravioli, Italian combo, French dip. Big portions equals many to go boxes. They have a fabulous selection of desserts. They do a solid takeout business too. Really nice bar area and plenty of seating. read more

Friday (10/24/2025) was the last visit Anthony's for me. Since 1976, I have enjoyed the variety of dishes and the price point, considering inflationary factors. Since Tony and Faye retired, there have been several changes to include recipes, portions, and prices. However, I will give the owner credit for the appearance of the restaurant. I stayed positive over the past several months supporting the new owner and his decisions while trying the various dishes. Friday, I had one of my favorites over the years, the gyro platter. The portions compared to previous owner's: meat 70%, fries 90% and salad was about the same. The taste was bland. These ratios are true for the past 12-14 dishes I've had in the past 6 months. The restaurant was less than 50% full. I am unsure if this is a reflection of the changes or just generally given that it is more expensive to eat out these days. To me, the restaurant does not cater to the younger families anymore. The restaurant is becoming more like Maggiano's price wise, but not like the quality (I am not a big fan of Maggiano's). I would also advise that the owner claims the Yelp account so he can read and address the concerns regarding the long-standing customer base the restaurant once had. I am rating this a two as the servers are the redeeming quality. read more

(September 2025) My wife and I have had dinner here several times, but earlier today was our first time here for brunch. Dinners we've had include the gyro platter, a few of the pasta dishes, the pizzas, smashed burgers, and the steak & cheese. We've also had the garden salad, Caesar salad, as well as some of their desserts. Earlier today for brunch, I ordered the chicken & waffles ($17) which comes with a side of hot honey. My wife got the greek omelet ($15) with the fresh fruit and biscuit. Like our dinners, our brunch was excellent! All of the servers are really friendly and we are always greeted with a smile. Can't wait to return (again)! read more

Loved this restaurant until the new owners took over several months ago. The portions sizes are so small for the price. I always enjoyed the steak and cheese sub in the past but now there is barely any meat in the sub...not much cheese. I basically was served a greasy lettuce and tomato sandwich. The meatball and cheese sub was awful. Now it consists of four party sized meatballs (previously the meatballs were extremely large) which didn't have any flavor and not much cheese. The sauce was overcooked and tasted burned. Unfortunately, the cost exceeds the taste and portion size that I won't be returning. read more

Just went back to see how the new management has affected the restaurant food. Ordered the Greek Combo for take out. Portions are much smaller than before, maybe because all restaurants are doing that now. The internet says two dolmathas (like it always has been) only one included, spoke to mgmt, now only one dolmatha, mentioned they may want to update the internet. The mousaka was okay, a lot of potatoes and not much eggplant, typical for store bought. The pastitsio was quite good, like before. Want to try their pizza again. In summary, much of the food is still good, but portions are getting smaller so plan for that--maybe order more items. read more

This beautiful jewel box was born the year I was born in falls Church . I came to know the place through my husband who had been going there for years. It quickly became our regular place to connect before we had our son. Our son grew up taking an ice cream from their fridge without telling anyone about it and assuming that it was his right to do that whenever we went there.Mr. Mr. Anthony and his amazing family always made us feel at home and now that we have moved to California what we miss the most about Virginia is our little hub! Wishing you guys much success for many many years to come, and thanks for so many wonderful memories in your place. read more

Breakfast is great the food and service all could not have been better. Seems dinner recipes have changed since the new owner took over many months ago. Did not care for the (manicotti) entrée the garlic bread was hard and tasteless and the the dining room was grossly understaffed for a Saturday night. So disappointed in the food and the service. :( read more

Great service and delicious breakfast! Always stop here on the way home after visiting family.

One of the Worst Dining Experiences I've Ever Had If I could give zero stars, I would. I had lunch here today, (Sunday 5/18/25 arrived at 12:04) and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Our waitress (of Asian decent, possibly Korean) was inattentive and careless she never cleared our table, never offered drink refills, and barely checked in on us the entire time we were there. We waited over an hour for our entrées while watching other tables who arrived well after us, get served quickly. I ordered wings, calamari, lasagna bolognese. My guest ordered a bean soup and gyro. Another guest ordered a burger with fries. My calamari came out soggy, rubbery, and inedible. I had waited 30 mins for an order of wings and a salad. My guest waited 45 minutes just for a bowl of bean soup. Absolutely unacceptable. After all that, we finally gave up and decided to leave -- and not even the manager bothered to acknowledge the delay or offer an apology. No accountability, no concern for customer experience. It was like they couldn't care less. After telling our server we wanted our check and didn't even want the entrees anymore. She asked if we could wait a little longer, like did you expect us to wait another hour?!. The waitress came back to our table and threw the check on the table. This was hands-down one of the most frustrating and disappointing meals I've ever endured. We won't be back and I'd strongly advise others to think twice before wasting their time or money here... read more

New management...so sad it's not the same. I've been eating at Anthony's for 50 years. I'm not writing them off just yet because I can't let go...but portions are ridiculously much smaller. Just a single example - meatball used to be 1/2 - 3/4 cup size - GIANT for the 2.50 extra charge - now $2.50 meatballs each are a spoon full of meat, about 1/4 the previous size. Shrinkflation and new management - too bad. read more

Have been going to Anthony's for 30 years and absolutely loved the place. The restaurant is under new ownership now. Met the owner and he was very friendly, I want them to do well so thought we'd try them out. Ordered two cheesesteak subs to go and found they were very very salty, almost the point where we could barely eat them. I've ordered cheesesteak subs at a hundred different places and they never tasted like these. Disappointing to say the least, as this was one of our fave restaurants. Won't write it off yet, but a pretty bad first experience. read more

We were looking forward to trying Anthony's out for a midday meal last Sunday at the suggestion of the friends who joined us. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. After waiting about a half an hour for the waitress to appear at our table, we finally asked the head waiter if he could ask her to come. She served beverages and then disappeared for another long period until we had to ask another waiter if our waitress could come so we could place our orders. Finally our orders arrived the omelettes for or friends were nothing out of the ordinary, my turkey rueben was a flat disappointment and my husband's Greek chicken/lemon/rice soup was nothing to right home about. Then another long wait for our check. Our friends who had been there once before said it was the last time they would be coming. We certainly will not be returning. There are simply too many other restaurants in the area with similar menu choices that are tastier and easily much better service. read more

I had been coming to this restaurant for at least 15 years, even when they were situated at a different location in Falls Church. However it had been at least three since I had returned, and today I had a craving for one of their gyros. I drove over and ordered the gyro with no onions from an awesome female cashier who was working the register today. I ordered it to go but in hindsight I probably should have dined inside of the restaurant just because of the super friendliness! The prices here have definitely caught up with inflation and it was definitely worth it for that awesome smile! The gyro was great and I was glad to come by here today. I thinking that I should come back soon fto order my second favorite Italian food spaghetti with bolognaesa sauce. read more

Evidently the new owners didn't get what made Anthony's great. The dolmades shrank in portion and in quality and taste. The good cheese on the pizza is now like everywhere else. The Greek burger doesn't have the flavor and texture it did and the feta is now small and not good quality. Probably won't be going back. read more

Sad to say we will not be going as often as we used to. The sandwiches are good, but no longer come with anything! Chips are now extra!!! The restaurant is definitely an accessible place to find, when walking it it's very casual" . The menu was extensive: Greek, Italian and American. They literally have something for everyone, which is great. My hubby and I shared a bottle of a mixed red, it was yum. We got mozzarella sticks & the medi trio dip for appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were AMAZE, the dips not so much. The texture was very think and chunky for all 3 dips. I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo, which ended up being yummy. The downside was that they had to give me my meal twice due to HAIR being it in the first time. They were sweet and replaced the meal. My hubby got the chicken parmesan sub, which he said lacked flavor. We also go to go boxes, which 1 had HAIR in it again. Would we go back, maybe? but i'm now freaked out with having two incidents of HAIR in one sitting. read more

I've been going to Anthony's for over 15 years. The food is consistent and the service is great. My favorites include the chicken souvlaki, French onion soup and pizza. The chicken souvlaki has moist tender chicken with a hearty portion of feta, tomato and onion wrapped in a delicious pita. This is always my go to! Reasonable price for the portion. The French onion soup is very flavorful with an abundance of cheese on top. You can't go wrong on a cold day. The pizza is delicious. I always get cheese and I'm never disappointed. Takes a bit to cook but worth the wait. Pizza as a takeout is great too. Leftovers heat up well. Don't skip the baklava for dessert! Easy lot parking and clean restaurant with lots of space. TVs to watch a game at the bar if you're interested. A big room on the side you can rent out too. I'll always be a customer of Anthony's. Koi read more

I belong to a local professional group that has meetings here. About 25 people ordered meals off the menu at the same time. They have an extensive menu that features Italian and Greek dishes. I ordered the Moussaka. I received a Greek salad as an appetizer. The Moussaka came with rice. The salad was fine; it had lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and feta cheese. The Moussaka was decent but it was barely warm. I like hot foods to be reasonably hot. The service was excellent. The staff served drinks before the meal. Attendees were separately billed. The staff was efficient in preparing checks and processing payments. Some of the other dishes looked good particularly, sandwiches and Italian pastas. I plan to return with a much smaller group. read more
