My favorite part about pupatella is its food. The food is so good i would literally trade in my child for a free pizza. The service is really good too. The food came very quickly, and the waiters, specifically the handsome one, Gunner or Gunter? were extraordinaryily nice. The ambience was the 3rd best out of the service and food and ambiance, there were lots of vehicles which admittedly did make me feel a bit intimidated, but once you realize they are tied up and can't run you over, it really adds to the atmosphere in a way no other steel structure could. 10/10 read more

Went to this place because it popped up on the InKind app. Figured we'd check it out during happy hour--$5 beers and apps sounded like a solid deal. Ended up paying $20 for a small individual pie. Pizza was tasty, no complaints there, but I definitely left still hungry. The real kicker? I got yelled at for opening one of their porch umbrellas while trying to shield my 6-month-old from the sun. Wrote a super long review on google but decided to paste a shorter summary of it here as well. Our server Kathy was extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn't like how we asked for a topping on the side even tho it was for religious reasons for my boyfriend. She took 10-15 mins to refill our drinks, took off the pizza topping by HAND instead of remake our pizza since it was wrong, and wasn't helpful with the menu. When I asked how big the gelato scoop sizes were she replied with "a regular sized scoop" and just stared at us. She seemed very interested and chatty with her other tables so watch out for her because she plays favorites if you don't look rich! I would suggest she works on her customer service skills. Only good thing from this location is Bailey! She was super sweet, caring, and just overall what you want in a server. Solid 3.5 that I am choosing to round up because I think next time could be better. We went on a quieter weekend early (4:45 / 5 PM). We were able to sit right away. Inside space is rather small and they have a decent patio. We received good service and enjoyed beers and then pizzas all around. I opted for a zuchinni special. They have a solid menu with a good number of vegetarian options. Ambiance was a little off, just kind of a weirder space. Nothing to complain about in terms of pizza quality and service. They are always providing friendly service and they have really good options for beverages. Having really enjoyed our lunch at the Pupatella in Reston, we decided to try the location in Mosaic.  The site is colorful and clean and airy with many tables and a bar area.  There is also a lot of outside seating. The only downside to this location was that the music was pumped up pretty high so that even our server apologized that she could not hear us over it.  We ordered the sausage arancini which were super crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside.  They are a great comfort food for when the weather turns cold and rainy.  The pizzas this time seemed a little more doughy and not as flavorful as our last visit to the Reston location which was a little disappointing.  The tiramisu, though, was light and tasty.  There is plenty of parking in the nearby garage and it is always fun to walk around the neighborhood. read more

We were at the Mosaic Pupatella for their anniversary party to pick up pizza, but I messed up our order so we decided to stay. They couldn't have nicer and took very good care of us with special treats and party favors. It was lots of fun and we were so glad we stayed. Usually, this place is great. It can be hit or miss on both pizza and staff. Still, when it's good it's good. Love the pizzas, the salad with shaved Parmesan and grapefruit is very tasty although it too can be off on occasion, just tried the zucchini sticks - - yummy, nice and crisp. It also has a full bar, which is very nice. I will definitely go back. I have gone back many times . This location is so much less stressful than the one in Arlington. the pizza is still just as good, but there is never a wait for a table, the service is ... decent although not perfect, and it's not loud or crowded. The food comes out in reasonable times. I enjoy their wine list and their spritz options. The margarita pizza is delicious and it's been rated as the best neopolitan style pizza around, so there really is no reason not to stop by. I have had a few slow servers or a few messed up orders (giving the pizza to the wrong table). But the place is SO lowkey, you don't feel rushed and they eventually correct it. And it's still worth going. I am surprised that this place doesn't have a constant takeout business going. Only a few at a time. read more

However, it was a little small for the price. Would I get it again? Probably not. It was an average tasting meatball. 3.5/5 starts as compared to two of my favorite neopolitian pizza places in Chicago. I wanted to try this place as it came highly recommended and while I enjoyed ordering at the counter and grabbing a table, I did not think the pizza lived up to the hype. We got the appetizer sampler platter which everything was good but nothing special, all fried. Then we got the arugula prosciutto pizza and the pesto white sauce one and added crumbled sausage. Both pizzas were good but not mind blowing amazing as we were told. They both could have used a little more flavor and I was surprised the crust on the bottom didn't have a tad more crisp to it, it was soggy. We took half of each home and added hot honey to the pesto and balsamic glaze to the argula one to jazz it up. Sadly I don't plan to return. read more

The person I spoke with said they'd need a card to charge it to, so I have it. Then I was asked "would you like to add a tip?". I found this very off-putting, but I wanted to try this place based on my prior experiences with the Arlington location and I was hungry bordering on hangry, so I said yes. That rude request framed everything else. A tip is after service is rendered, not as a precondition. It's rude, it's obnoxious, and I'm kinda done with this place after that. Onto the pizza. We sat at the bar. Couldn't get a drink in thirty minutes. They couldn't even make the Napolini from the menu. Not sure why. Missing ingredients? Too hard? Basil or vinegar shortage? It was too loud to hear. We are still waiting for our first drink order. Who knows if we will ever get food....
