Mmmm, square pizza at its finest! I loved square pizza as a kid and this place felt like a throwback for me. My fiancé and I ordered the 18" Ledo's Deluxe (came with pepperoni, bacon, "hamburger," green peppers, onion, tomato, and mushrooms). 18 inches was plenty for us and we even had leftovers for breakfast the next morning (I love eating cold pizza for breakfast)! I can't believe the two of us finished all that food :D We also ordered those tasty waffle cheese fries with chicken and buffalo sauce. Tasty, but not as good as the pizza. The reason for the 4 stars (instead of 5) is that though it was tasty, the pizza crust was very weak. The pizza was flopping over so much when I held the slices in my hand that I had to start using utensils to eat my pizza... In general, I like a bit more crust to my pizza. But the cheese and toppings were delicious! And it was fine using utensils to eat my meal ;) Overall, we had a great experience with Ledo's! read more

I gave the Ledo's in Reston 4 stars, but after frequent experiences in the past couple of years with shocking differences in the quality of the pizza in general and the toppings used at this location I decided to review it so that people would know that clearly Ledo's does NOT use the same recipe, cooking techniques or ingredients for all locations (I assumed since it was a chain that I could depend on the pizza in Arlington to be the same--or differences negligible--as the Reston location). The pizza at this location is to me on par with Domino's or Papa John's, whereas the pizza from Ledo's in Reston is of much higher quality (on par with Santini's, Voccelli's, etc.). The crust is totally different here--much thicker, more doughy and uneven. The toppings are the biggest disappointment in terms of difference between Reston Ledo's and this location. The veggies they use are chopped into tiny pieces and don't taste fresh, whereas the veggies they use at Reston are large, thinly sliced, fresh circles of onions and peppers (as if you had chopped them at home yourself). Lots of times the pizza comes very sparsely covered with cheese and the cheese baked on so much it's almost burned looking. The cheese at the Reston location is delectable and plentiful. This I think is a clear case where the individual owner of each chain clearly show where they are choosing to sacrifice quality/cut edges for cost purposes. If I didn't know they were from the same chain I would think these two locations were entirely different establishments. The owners of this location clearly must think the differences in ingredients aren't noticable to the average customer but trust me, they are! The quality of the veggies at Reston Ledo's is so high that I sometimes order from them instead of my favorite pizza place, Flippin, JUST because I can know that the veggies will be so good. Made the mistake of depending on that last Friday from the South Arlington location and instantly regretted it! read more

This time we did pick up since the delivery seems to be pretty atrocious (delivering wrong order over an hour wait, etc). The past 3 times I've ordered here they've left at least 1 ingredient off my pizza and have never cooked it well-done as ordered. The delivery times are average to long, but my pizza has arrived at least warm if not hot. If there was another ledo's within delivery distance I'd order from there instead. read more

I'm not actually a fan of Ledo's pizza -- don't care for thin crust pizza in general, and making it square with smallish square slices doesn't do anything for me either. That said, what I like about Ledo's is their pretty substantial non-pizza menu. My faves include their toasted ravioli, their spaghetti (it's great with the works: meatballs, sausage, peppers, and onions), and their florentine four cheese sub with grilled chicken. The Columbia Pike location delivers and the service I've gotten from them has been really great, so I wanted to give them a Yelp shout out. read more

I love Ledo's!!! (and that's saying a lot coming from this Chicago gal) Seriously, I don't know what it is, but they have the prefect combination of tasty crust, yummy sauce, and liberal toppings. My friend and I treat ourselves from time to time to a large veggie pizza with jalepenos. (Have you ever seen two girls tackle an entire large pizza with no apologies??) We always pick it up as opposed to delivery to ensure it's piping hot. The guy who works the counter at this Ledo's location is always there. I'm not sure when he goes on vacation or sleeps. But he's also super friendly when he sends us on our way with that awesome pizza. Basically, when you have good pizza and good service, I'm going to keep coming back. ***UPDATE*** I recently moved out of Arlington and I find myself really missing those square Ledo's pizzas. We were regulars at the Edgewood Location, real friendly staff. Bottom line: Amazing sauce. Awesome Crust. Perfect pie at a great price. ***OLD REVIEW*** The stromboli is perfect for those nights when you get home late from work and don't have the energy to cook something. I usually do pick-up and never have had any troubles ordering by phone. The in-house staff is friendly and fast. They say it's ready in 20 minutes. But, I leave my house after 10 minutes and it's usually ready. I discovered Ledos after being fed up with the big, national chains. Their sauce and pizza is damn good! Everytime I go in, I see cooks flipping up the dough and making it by hand, so it's definitely fresh. the spicey ravoli app and meatball hero are pretty good too. Probably the fastest option for getting a good, quality pizza. read more

Two and a half stars, really. The gist: decent, but you better like thin-crust pizza and not be in a hurry. I'm reviewing this branch relative to other Ledos (Ledoses? Ledoes?). I have to say I've never been a huge fan of the signature Ledo crust--thin, crispy, buttery--but if you're a thin-crust aficionado, you'll feel differently. I think it's unfair to judge the place based on my deep-dish loving subjective taste. This branch slam-dunks the Ledo product, which incorporates fresh ingredients, bottomless Pepsi products, and fun twists on staples (think spicy buffalo chicken calzone, with Tabasco inside). The staff's friendly, too. ...That is, when they appear. Which is rare. My impression of this place is that it's run by a family or tight-knit, small group of employees. There are separate dining and takeout/delivery rooms, and when my compadre and I entered the dining room the other day, the former was empty. As in, no staff, no customers, is-this-28-days-later?, nada. After about seven minutes of standing in silence, Matt went next door to ask the staff if the dining room was open, and a waitress came running in. No, not closed. She proceeded to get us menus, but long service intervals followed as she kept running next door for 20 minutes at a time to handle what she said was a busy takeout crowd. Another few customers came in during one of those intervals. They discovered something we didn't - a little service bell on the dining room counter, designed to bring staff over from the other room. They rang and rang it. No dice. When the waitress finally came over, they told her they were in a hurry and had been wondering whether the dining room was open. Holy amounts of bacon, Batman!! Friends and I picked up the BBQ chicken with bacon and a veggie pizza. I was a little put off by how long the two employees took to ring us up when we picked up. They both kept answering phone calls for over 10 minutes after their coworker (manager?) had given us our pizza and told them to ring us up. But wowzers, this is excellent pizza! The BBQ pizza had a ton of bacon and the crispy crust with the sweet baby rays sauce....oh man. All irritation over having to wait went right out the window! The veggie pizza was also good. I'm quite surprised that Ledo's hasn't grown larger than it is. They have a truly unique thin-crust pizza, thick pepperoni, and endless toppings, INCLUDING my favorite: green olives!!! I'm sure some of you are thinking "ewww...i'm never eating anywhere a guy who eats green olives on pizza thinks is good," and perhaps that's somewhat justified, but if you've read my other posts: anything salty goes for me, so a Ham and green olive pizza with jalapenos and mushrooms is DIVINE. The tomato sauce here is a little bit sweeter than I tend to enjoy, but it tastes fresh and is very good. Another plus: They have fantastic hamburgers, and oddly enough, their buffalo wings are killer--i'm talking huge wings in great hot sauce for a great price. For your Sunday Afternoon football parties, Ledo should be at the top of the list.... Now if someone in their organization would just realize that being the only pizza place in town that DOESN'T deliver is NOT an advantage to increasing your sales revenue... perhaps more of these great little shops would exist in the district. read more

I will state that this review is for this particular location. I have eaten at the original Ledo Pizza, before it moved, numerous times and have been to multiple locations in the Annapolis area. I am very familiar with their food and think the pizza is awesome. They also have great wings. The sauce is excellent and they are always large. The reason this location gets 2 stars is they fail to provide the type of service that I have come to expect from other Ledo locations. We routinely order delivery from them and they have started to disappoint. Yesterday we placed an order for a large pepperoni pizza with pineapple on one half as well. We also ordered 25 buffalo wings. The total came to $49, which isn't bad in reality because this was enough to feed four adult men. We called at 4pm and were told it would be 45 minutes. Roughly 90 minutes later a very nice delivery girl showed up with our food. Our order was correct. The wings were actually still pretty hot. The pizza however was lukewarm at best. I almost wanted to put it back in the oven but after waiting 45 minutes longer than expected I was to hungry to go that route. Also it appeared as though one side of the pizza was cooked for a longer portion of time than the other. It was very noticeable. We probably order Ledo Pizza once every 2-3 weeks. It has just become incredibly inconvenient how it takes them much longer to arrive than they say it will take and how the food seemed to have been ready for a long time before it was delivered. We got a bunch of toppings but I think the toppings take a bit away from the cheese, sauce, and crust. So I think next time I'll just get a cheese pizza. I use to love ordering from here but not anymore. To me, the quality of the food has truly taken a nosedive. I ordered the chicken tenders were overcooked and dry and they put the honey mustard sauce in the bag with the hot food so when I opened it, the sauce spilled everywhere. I also ordered the Ceasar salad with crispy chicken that was horrible (the best part of the salad was the lettuce). I asked to speak to the manager and got the same person that I placed the order with posing as the manager. She did not really act like she cared about my complaints about the food and basically brushed me off. Having grown up in the area, Ledo Pizza has become something of a local favorite. When my high school friends come back to visit, we always make a point to stop by Ledo's. Hey, they don't cut corners right? It's a square pizza with roughly 2 sq inch slices, which makes it perfect for sharing. Yes, it could be on the greasy side depending on what you get for toppings (those thick cut pepperoni slices oozes oil), but I'm not eating Ledo's to maintain my figure. IT'S BULKING SEASON. Pile on that delicious thin crust pizza with a group of friends. We mostly get delivery which takes about 40-60 mins. The delivery guy is always polite and comes straight to our apartment door. I love Ledo pizza. I usually order to go. If you eat-in the service is lackluster and the employees go in and out of the bathroom in pairs as if doing drugs. My only complaints: small delivery area and (this is the biggg one) often times there is not sufficient sauce on the pizza to cover it, like it will be slopped onto 1/2 of it and the other side will be cheese on crust. That's a shame bc it prevents me from ordering as often as i would otherwise. Inconsistency. Ive addressed it before and they'll state that maybe the maker was rushing. Ledo pizza had mediocre reviews. I was hopeful when I picked up the pizza. Once I got home and took a bite the disappointment set in. It tasted exactly like a lunchable pizza. My pizza consumption has gone up about 60% since discovering Ledo's. Can't vouch for the atmosphere, since we always get delivery, but the pizza is absolutely addicting. I love the buffalo chicken with sweet peppers and my wife just gets the plain cheese, but we can easily put down a medium each over the course of a lazy Sunday night in front of the TV. Not good for the body but my mouth couldn't be happier. For those who haven't read the other reviews, the pizza has a unique crust- thin and buttery - and the sauce is strangely sweet but in a good way. Definitely our go-to place for delivery. read more
