Great location, pretty good food options and the beer is pretty darn good (Gnarly Cedar's and the "guest beers"). The waitstaff / servers are very attentive, friendly and very outgoing. The Thursday night Wine Down series is fantastic and the bands that they have managed to book is impressive and who can argue with the setting for the shows. The only stones I can throw is that the beer is a little on the pricey side compared to other establishments that offer the same "guest beers". Also, recently after a show, we got to talking to friends and spent some time at the merch table after the show was over and by the time we made it inside to settle up, the credit card was already charged even though it was less than 30-minutes after the last song. When asked to confirm my charges, whoever was in charge seemed to very highly annoyed at my request. Kind of a turn off to be honest. read more

This is an excellent winery for spending an enjoyable afternoon. Pleasant vistas of the vineyard provide a relaxing ambiance. The food is quite tasty. While the wine flights and tastings are nice, most of the wine is just average (I enjoyed the Petite Syrah and Albariño, but the Pinot Noir was subpar - I did not finish my tasting of it). Several reds are made from local grapes and are ok. I feel they are on the ascent, but not yet to the level of top tier Wisconsin wineries such as Blind Horse or Von Stiehl. The red wines they serve are kept at room temperature, which in the summer actually makes them taste worse than they would be if served cooler. Also, insist on having the wine served in a wine glass (not a sippy cup), unless taking it outdoors. read more

Very nice local winery that makes a range of nice varietal wines and locally crafted beers. Relative to the wines, which was the purpose of our "tasting" visit, they include a nice selection ranging from white to red and sweet to dry varietals. As part of their business model they import quite a bit of their grape juice from out west but do make some wines from their local vineyards using Marquette and Frontenac grapes that are hardy cold weather hybrid grapes developed by the University of Minnesota for Northern climates like Wisconsin. These grapes have a unique flavor profile that most people have not tasted before from a wine perspective but are good from both a dominant grape driven profile wine and a blended wine profile, both of which this business does. Wine aside, the winery is located in a very picturesqe setting with nice views of the vineyard and hilly countryside offering very appealing and calming views to enjoy while drinking your wine on their outside terrace. Relative to the staff, they were very friendly and oh so helpful as they probably spent 15 minutes educating me on the do's and dont's of growing the Marquette and Frontenac grapes both of which I grow in my own yard and have had open questions on for years that were finally answered by this great friendly staff! Overall it was a wonderful visit and I would whole hardily recommend this business if you are a fan of wine or beer as you will not be disappointed. Tasting a flight of their wine and strolling through their barrel room and on their picturesque grounds is an experience not to be missed. read more

I used to be able to give this place 5,even 10 stars because I used to love it so much. I was discouraged almost to the point of tears tonight and didn't want to stay. The wine seems to have lost its focus in terms of smaller batch local wine that hit so good you wouldn't want to leave. Sitting around drinking 3-4 bottles of wine and enjoying the SIMPLE bread plate with oil and balsamic used to be how we loved to spend our days. Spending 20 on a sub-par sandwich and more on sub par wine hurts my soul. Not having the option to decide how your meal is cooked(rare,medium rare) is a big letdown. I will probably not be coming here as frequently as I used to, and only when my husband insists we show. It feels like the vineyard has become profit focused instead of quality focused. read more

I spent a lovely afternoon here catching up with old friends. We were fortunate it was a beautiful fall day...lots of sun, a gentle breeze, some good music and terrific conversation. There were eight of us and we brought some lawn chairs and were able to snag a table. We ordered some food (cheese plate and flatbread) that was tasty and hit the spot. I don't drink wine so I had some delicious beer on tap (there was a great pumpkin beer when I went...very flavorful and not too sweet). My friends drank several bottles of wine and enjoyed it. Millie, who is the a dog that I believe belongs to the owners, hung out with us for awhile which was very cool. I highly recommend this place as a fun and leisurely getaway from the stresses of modern life. Do bring your own chairs (and a portable table to hold any plates) and enjoy a wonderful day in the countryside. read more

This place is great overall. The wine is spectacular. Their events are always awesome. They always pick great local musicians. Gather a large crowd usually. We enjoy sitting outside by the fire pits or indoors playing cribbage. The place is nicely decorated and there is a lot of room outside. Great for families. I wish I only had good things to say about this place, but there was one time we purchased tickets to an event and they ran out of what was supposed to be unlimited drinks within the first hour. We also had an unpleasant encounter with an employee who questioned my mother about her service dog. (I believe they allow dogs outside just not indoors). There was also another time my fiancé had a choking incident here and the staff did absolutely nothing about it (not sure how much they saw however). Despite these things, we still come here. We enjoyed a perfect evening on the patio, and the view was beautiful. We could see the vineyard and the bluffs behind them as well as a lush green lawn in front of the vines where friends and families sat in Adirondack chairs. Our server (sadly, I didn't catch her name) was attentive and helpful without hovering. She made recommendations when we asked for them. One of her suggestions was the Ribeye Melt, and we were not disappointed. My husband and I shared this entree, and we both loved it. The fries were some of the best I've ever had. I would 100% recommend this dish, and I will order it again if I don't get sidetracked by some of the other choices. We will definitely go back to Ledgestone Vineyards! I came here wine tasting last week to an absolute VIP experience. Tonight I took my lovely college colleagues to dinner tonight after a hard semester to the worst food and service I've had in many years. Not only was our salmon crostini completely frozen and tasted of cat food but due to ageism we're served less than 10% of the rest of the patrons. I'd like to add-- this was certainly not taken off our bill even after I a commented this to our waiter. To compliment the experience, we were rushed beyond belief-- not even being able to enjoy our overpriced experience. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

We decided to try the Sunday breakfast. We reserved a table a few days ahead since we know there is limited seating. The table was nice and looked out on the vineyard. Great views. Unfortunately, the music played over the speakers was far too loud for us to hear the waitress and enjoy a relaxing time. Then the bill came and it was confusing. She said it was $24 and never came back with the change $1.00 change. We just found it odd that she didn't return. Since she never came back, after 15 mins we went to the bar to order something to enjoy the outdoors. Again, the music is way too loud to comfortably talk or hear. We sampled a two beers and then the bartender gave us our beers. We each got a pint. We found out later that we were drinking each other's beers because he didn't verbally tell us which one was which or listen enough to put the proper one in front of the person that ordered it. The food was just ok. We have had dinner before and it was delicious. Though this time it was average. For $18, we expected it to be foodie style. It was average. Seemed like batched potatoes and very dry. If they adjusting the music for a calm breakfast atmosphere and asking the staff to make they are clarifying, it would make for a better experience. Our visit was just average and some of the aspects made it less than enjoyable. Hopefully, they do some adjustments to improve. read more

What a little hidden gem this place is. Stopped in for their Friday music/ vendor and food truck Friday's that they do the first Friday of the month in the summer. The venue is beautiful I could see having a gorgeous wedding or something here. I need to come back to do wine tasting but for this event I had the moscoto and their house white (I forgot the name) but it was scrumptious. A bottle will set you back about ~$20 which is insanely reasonable for the quality of the wine. If nothing else stop by to just see the view. Just to quickly comment on the event the food truck was amazing, music was lovely and the vendors had amazing things they were selling (I bought bread, honey and tomatoes). Yum! Disappointing. Went here for the past 3 weeks for the Thursday night concert series. Wine is fine. Menu is limited. Lovely setting although if you don't get there early to get a spot in the shade the sun is killer. The music has ranged from OK to awesome. Here's the problem. For 2 of the weeks we were near people who think it's OK to shriek, yell and carry on as if they are at their own private party. I realize it's an outdoor venue and people are there to socialize but there is a certain level of courtesy to other people as well as respect to the musicians. The last concert featured the band Dead Horses which is pretty popular and ticket prices ($20) reflected that. We sat near the patio area so we could be in the shade. Behind us was a table set up for the jewelry vendor. During the concert, this person selling jewelry and 3-4 of her friends decided to have a shriekfest and be loud during the music. When we complained to 2 different bartenders, one said I'll send someone out and the other said "move". Someone did come out to speak to the girls. The girls protested and complained, (yelled at us). "THIS IS A WINERY! WE'RE SUPPOSED TO TALK! YOU'RE A PSYCHO! We will not be returning to this venue as management is OK with their behavior and does not seem to value a paying customer's business. read more

We love LedgeStone SO much... the location is beautiful and there is a ton of room to spread out and enjoy their wines + beer on the grass. They frequently have live music and it's always a great time. They have great food options, we love the charcuterie and flatbreads, and they also often have some awesome food trucks there as well! I have loved all of the wines I have tried... you really can't go wrong here! The best part is the awesome staff and owners who are so friendly and helpful! Extremely upset. We drove here from Fond Du Lac to be turned away. No where on there website did it say on Thursdays they wouldn't allow anyone in at all without a purchased concert ticket. We went to Ledgestone for our first gourmet grilled cheese Thursday... And I think we will be back! My hubby & I shared A blueberry and balsamic brie grilled cheese and an artichoke and bacon grilled cheese. Both were very tasty. The blueberry and Brie was a little sweet, while the artichoke and bacon was more savory. Of course you can't forget the wine! We shared a bottle of Moscato D'asti which went down very well! Went in to celebrate and engagement, had an open bar tab for guests to drink on, ordered multiple appetizers and pizza's...only to be yelled at by Tiffany, supposedly the owner, to "consolidate" our group to one table because it was about to be her "busy hour". it was such an awful and uncalled for behavior. We were paying customers and being courteous to others there. She completely killed the celebration and we left. Will not be returning. We do NOT recommend having any gathering there. read more

The place wasn't overly packed, it was steady so not sure why we were such a burden. When a member of my group who has poor eyesight asked for help with navigating the iPad at checkout, one of the waitresses behind the bar had aggressively spun the iPad around and stormed off into the kitchen. After two minutes of being inside, we were welcomed with attitude and a snippy comment. There was no "Welcome! Have a seat." and definitely no, "Thanks for coming!"
