    Gorgeous winery!

Beautiful winery! I live in IL but grew up in Green Bay and didn't think anything like this existed in WI! Took my best friend from Atlanta to Door County and stopped on our way back from our girls trip. This was the icing on the cake for our trip! We came on a day where they served mulled wine and it was so delicious! Highly recommend !

Theres a little piece of Tuscany right here in Wisconsin, called Parallel 44. You've got to check out this amazing winery where they use grapes grown in the onsite vineyard! We visited Parallel 44 as part of the Open Air Tours convertible event. Imagine pulling up to a hill overlooking a vineyard literally dripping with grapes! It was an incredible sight to see outside Kewaunee. We looked at the grounds which included a beautiful patio overlooking the gorgeous vista then wandered into the vineyard. There was a scenic overlook, a table set up where one could imagine a family enjoying the fruits of the harvest. Inside we saw enormous tanks filled with gently fermenting wine, and enjoyed the set up of long bars where wine sampling could be enjoyed. There were bachelorette parties here, it was fun to sit on the patio and sip a wonderful chardonnay while enjoying the beautiful late August weather. You have to see this place to truly appreciate it. Go already!

We have been meaning to go to this place for a couple of years. Today was the day. We walked into the building and found it open and light. A friendly lass approached us and filled us in on the protocols. We were directed to a tasting area in the back. Here Steve offered us samples of 4 wines, a white and three reds. There were also some tasty cheese samples. Although we don't usually drink white wine, we found the white pretty good. All the reds were outstanding. The Marquette Reserve is pure nectar! We moved to the front room, to the bar. There was live music. We were offered another four samples. All the wines were reds and there wasn't a bad one among the batch. In fact they were all really good. Make sure you try the wild grape wine. We thought about joining their wine club; but balked when we found we had no say in the wines that would be shipped to us every 3 months. We have no desire to be offered a sweet white wine and have no alternatives. This cost them a star. So no, we didn't join up. All in all, this is a nice winery to visit. The people there are extremely nice; and their wines, albeit a bit expensive, are excellent. If you like fine local wine; and are up for a ride in the country, it would behoove you to come out here, enjoy the scenery, and some nice wines.

Stopped here on an adventure/road trip and was pleasantly surprised! We walked in and were instantly greeted by Sarah who welcomed up, informed us, and helped us with our sampling. She was very welcoming and upbeat on a really busy day. She helped us picked samples and was very informative. Highly recommend stopping here and picking up some wine.

This winery will always have a special place in my heart since my boyfriend proposed to me there this afternoon! We started off with a flight - I did the red flight while he did the rose flight (naturally we swapped tastes, so we could try everything). I left with a bottle of one of the reds (can't remember the name at the moment) and a bottle of the Drink Pink rose which has just the right amount of sweetness and a beautiful rich color. We were encouraged to walk about the vines and sample grapes which is unlike any winery I have ever been to. Our server was incredibly friendly and hospitable, and we enjoyed walking through the vineyard and overlooking the winery while we sipped. This place really is a little Napa in Wisconsin. The estate is absolutely gorgeous!!

I visited Parallel 44 Winery as part of my sister's bachelorette party. It was an amazing Upon arrival, the scenery was beautiful. There was nothing but acres of grapes and greenery around us. The winery was fairly small, but had a gorgeous patio to sit out on and enjoy a glass (or bottle) of wine on a warm day. The staff was extremely friendly and overly welcoming. We started off with a small ((complimentary!!)) tour of the vineyard, learning how the grapes are grown and how their cool climate grapes differ from those that grow in warmer climates. We moved on to then have a short tour inside to see how the grapes were processed, fermented, and turned in their fantastic wines. Then it was on to the wine sampling. I think I nearly tried them all - compliments of Parallel 44! I probably got a good glass or so out of it. It was fantastic. Some of their varietals are Marechal Foch, Frontenac, Louise Swenson, St. Pepin and Petit Pearl, which are the genetic cousins wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Riesling. Given that Parallel 44 wines are only sold online or in Wisconsin stores, naturally I bought 6 bottles to take home with me ((they that were that fab - especially the Frozen Tundra wines)). They range from $13 - $21 a bottle, which is well worth it. ((Note: you can buy them online!!)) A few faves both red & white: // Tundra White - A semi-sweet aromatic white blend of Wisconsin grapes, with dominant peach and tropical fruit flavors and a hint of honey // Baco Noir - Medium bodied red wine with a light carmel aroma, bing cherry flavors and a light oak finish // Glacier Red - Earthy aromas followed by fruit forward expressions of currant & berries // St. Pepin Late Harvest - Made from the St. Pepin grapes, harvested in late October and then put thru a cool, slow fermentation for complex tropical flavors If you're in the area, Parallel 44 is a fantastic place to stop, enjoy the scenery, have some wine, and learn a little about wine making. Between the knowledgeable staff, friendly service, complimentary tour and wine tasting, we started the bachelorette party off right. And with a buzz.

It was ok. Good selection of wines. Both sweet and regular grapes. There are better wineries and worse wineries. It's worth the stop to sample what they have. We liked it enough to purchase a bottle

Our Lady of Good Help Shrine is located in the middle of nowhere, in a field far from anything. We found a Groupon for 4 people - $40 for $22 at a place called Rendezvous. After mapping the location we proceeded to drive from Our Lady of Good Help Shrine to a location in the middle of nowhere 9.2 miles away on a country road intersection. The Rendezvous is a combination restaurant/bar/bowling alley down by 2 county roads. When we walked in we had to go down about 4 or 5 steps into a very dated establishment. There were a number of people sitting at the bar having drinks and watching college games on tv. The bowling alley was empty when we got there. We asked the bartender if we could grab a seat and she said sit anywhere. The dining room looked like the basement of a old 60's condo that I use to live in. There were folding tables and chairs set up so the 4 of us grabbed a table. The waiter came with 4 menus and gave us a brief rundown on some of the items. He was a young guy that was very pleasant & was willing to put up with questions from the Illinois city folk. Overall the service was good, a little slow, but good They have a variety of items for dinners and were reasonably priced. I orders the family style broasted chicken (as much as you want) which was very good that came with way too many sides. The sides included mashed potatoes (ehh made from a powered mix), coleslaw (which was very good, seasoned well with fresh ingredients), stuffing (ehh not worth mentioning), gravy (kind of a grey color and way too much cornstarch), corn (not too bad) & sauerkraut (ehh I could have done with out it) & desert (cherry cheesecake, brownies, pumpkin cake& homemade kit Kat cake). Did I mention I tried all of them? The broasted chicken was delicious and by far the best item in the family style meal for $8.95 all inclusive. My wife's friend ordered the 4 piece broasted chicken dinner. Her husband and my wife ordered the short ribs which were pretty blahhhh It was an ok meal (broasted chicken was pretty good I would give this a solid 4+ stars) for a reasonable price, huge quantities and good service. The short ribs were probably not even a 2 star. I doubt if I will ever be out there again in the middle of Packer country, but hey if you don't try it you never know what you are missing.

I thought the idea of bungalows on site for the wedding party was a neat idea, and it was great to see our friends let loose, drink and have fun, and know they could get to their room safely. It also was convenient for those families with little ones who needed to retire early. Ceremony and reception spaces were both large and beautifully decorated in a chic rustic barn look. The staff was great about adjusting games, ceremony times, and events to some unexpected rain. We even had some umbrellas brought out and chairs dried prior to starting the ceremony. Bartenders and waitstaff were great, and music was able to be played at the perfect noise level to get people in the mood (I hate venue restrictions with subtle soft jazz noise levels for weddings..impossible!). The event time was generous and more than enough to party everyone out. Lovely location.
