Ben was fantastic on the acoustic guitar, excellent voice and sense of humor. It was a small group when we went but he still worked the crowd. The boat was clean and I appreciated that they had binoculars available in each bench seat so you could take advantage of seeing the sights. Ben also does some of the scenic tours so he threw in a few nuggets of info about the area in between songs but overall the focus was on the music and enjoying the views. Sunset was perfect! My wife bought me a certificate as a surprise so my dad and I could go fishing. Instead of just…read morepaying the $100 deposit, she paid in full up front. Unfortunately, some not so good things happened. I don't want the certificate and can't use it. I called and asked for a refund because of the things that happened to me...but the response I received was very cold. I was even called a liar and was told, "I don't know you." I was also told the website said there are no refunds. This could very well be the best fishing in the area, but customer service isn't very good. The first time I called (months ago) I was told I had the wrong company because they didn't have my invoice. I gave them my wife's name too but they said they didn't have it. I guess they found it now, but they are refusing to give me a refund. The website says very clearly that DEPOSITS are non-refundable, but nothing about the rest of the payment. If the policy is "no refunds for deposits" so be it, but keeping the rest of a customer's money even if you don't do anything for them...come on now...that's just bad business. WARNING: be careful buying a gift certificate for somebody...they might not want it and you can't get your money back. Don't even ask for it because the response you'll get will be pretty rude. To be fair, I was offered the opportunity to go ice fishing or I can use the certificate next year as well...but I have no desire to spend the day with somebody who treats me like I was just treated. No refunds certainly means no refunds.

Even more impressive was his energy and effort in constantly searching the lake for a better location and better bite. Under some adverse conditions on Day 2, he even had us out on 3 different lakes looking for fish which were being very tight-lipped that day. He uses only top-notch equipment and the latest in ice fishing technology. His fee is reasonable and even includes a fresh cooked hot lunch on the ice (for full day trips) which we really enjoyed.
