In a day where every amusement event (including fairs) bleeds you dry from entry fees, fast passes, food, drink and souvenirs...this place is gives you hope that this city still cares about the word "Family" in entertainment. .25 cents a ticket...no individual ride over 6 tickets (think there is 4 maybe out of all the rides). Parents aren't unhappy shelling out wads of cash so the vibe is good. No second looks at people wondering "where'd they come from"...or "let's go over here guys". We go several times a summer just to ride a couple rides and pop out to finish the days errands. So if you want to see why everyone is moving up above Manitowoc...spend a couple hours here. It's a good park, but it has seen better days…read more The park is under-staffed. Each day, a handful of rides are not in operation because the parks department failed to recruit staff. For example, the park has opened a new train this year, but that means the old train line is not running. The new train line is far less scenic, but because it's new they staff it. Parking is generally free, but the park has recently designated prime-parking spaces near the pavilion building as paid parking spaces. To use the paid-parking spaces, they want you to download an app. Consequently, these prime parking spaces are left empty through the day, except for the one car I saw parked illegally there which received a ticket. The park is clean and the staff is usually nice. Tickets for rides are inexpensive, and concessions are inexpensive. Expect prices for tickets to increase in the near future. Also expect the number of tickets required per ride to increase. This amusement park has had a good run, but the parks department management is doing all they can to kill the park.

I attended a wedding there officiated by Bobbie (of Weddings by Bobbie fame) which was quite memorable. The beautiful backdrop of the scenic lake made for a dramatic event (the weather also helped).
