Garlic with fries, date drink, lemonade, chicken shawarma salad bowl and falafel salad bowl
    Dahabina O.

I went today with my mother and I had the chicken shawarma bowl and she had the falafel bowl. I also had the garlic with fries. The food was good. The fries were crisp and not too salty. The chicken and falafel were fresh. I liked the Tahini sauce and the garlic sauce. This isn't our first time there. The last time we went my mother didn't enjoy it as much. I didn't mind it last time though, I thought it was ok. This time was better for both of us.

8/21 Not the same for worse... They moved a street over across from the SS package store and next to a public parking lot. Has more street presence BUT - more of a typical fast casual now - limited menu with zero authenticity - friendly staff but UNDERSTAFFED - SLOW I got something similar to Anna's platter but wasn't good.... did not finish the food. This is my last visit....another one down :-/

    Looking for my kids shawarma

Hey, we love the garlic . We love the food but the order was screwed up and there was no way to contact em quickly! Sooooo here we are ... DONT ORDER KIDS FOOD ... we asked for chicken (great!) and with chicken shwarma. But no shwarma ... A 'bait and switch ' we got fries. We don't want fries we want kids chicken shawarma . We rarely complain ... see review history folks but this was really lousy. Two stars

Pick Your Platter Kibbeh Chicken Samosa Pastries Msaka Baba Ghanoush

Had lunch here the other day. My husband really enjoyed the traditional platter. He ordered it with beef shawarma. I built my own platter. I chose to get falafel as my protein but was sad to see only two were on my plate and they were not large. Tried the kibbeh and chicken samosa but did not love them. I do however love the baba ghanoush.

Finally some excellent hummus and baba! The falafel were fair, better than cava. The chicken was tiny small pieces, not big chunks on a skewer like I expected. I loved the cucumber yogurt dip as well as the tabouli both were so fresh. My husband said the basmati rice & hummus were both delicious but he thought the chicken was dry.

Came here for lunch with family recently to the new location. I ordered a falafel sandwich and my family member ordered a lamb bowl. The sandwich was delicious. It was my first time and I almost missed the toppings bar. I loaded up the sandwich right away. They don't have lamb bowls, but we're very accommodating to substitute it out. The whole order came with two loafs that the sandwich came in. We took it home and ate it with dinner. So much food for the price!

Emly restaurant terrible service no excuse to be so unkind to costumers

Unfortunately after being very considerate and waiting 10 minutes for a gentleman to take my order his Name was Valerio as he got very upset that I was in line there no costumers therefore I don't understand the attitude there was no greeting no salutation just a "what do you want " as I've worked in the food industry for over 15 years and knowing how hard it's to retain costumers I was just very desapointed on his behavior I've come to this place I the past and service was OK but this time it was terrible aslo my food was cold and as I requested a change the gentleman just rolled his eyes and said I'm on the phone please be careful when this gentleman is on shift

Sitting here waiting on my order. This is by far the most delicious middle eastern food I have tasted. Always fresh, clean and friendly. So many choices.

Kia's Platter - Baba Ghannouge, Falafel, Kibbeh, Shakshouky, Chicken Shawarma
    Addy C.

My sister & her husband like this place, and they usu. order several different things and share. Portions are generous. My sister brought me here last wknd, and we shared "Kia's Platter" which includes your choice of 4 mezza items plus chicken or beef shawarma. All this for just $10.95, and it was plenty of food for 2 people. We picked the Baba Ghannouge (good), 2 Falafels (good), Kibbeh (ok), Shakshouky (good), and the Chicken Shawarma (flavorful but salty). The platter also comes with a couple of very large and puffy pita bread ... yum :) We didn't get the kabobs but my sister said they're very good, too. FYI - garage parking available but rates are very low. Restaurant doesn't validate parking. This restaurant has 4 locations.

    Lamb shawarma, average.
    Mekdela T.

Very very average :/ I'm only giving it two stars based off the space of the restaurant, easy/cheap parking in the the garage, and the location. Keep in mind when I came, there were a lot of families with kids, I enjoyed it, but I do know some people don't like when there's a lot of kids due to noise. I really expected better food. The rice was amazing, and that's really all I ate. I ordered the lamb shawarma with salad and rice, my cousin ordered the chicken shawarma and fries, the kids I came with ordered the grilled chicken strips and rice. My lamb shawarma just didn't fast fresh and well seasoned. I was pretty sad about it because I've actually had better shawarma bought at a food truck. The fries my cousin ordered tasted old and not that great. The hummus was good and I like the big pita things you dip into your hummus, but that was really it. Expected more from this place.

Very good and authentic Lebanese food right in downtown silver spring. Had the shawarma chicken combo and it was really too much food for one person

Decoration is lackluster or plain off-putting (bare black shelves!?). The soft drink machine is out of order. There is only one restroom. The tables are grossly sticky. The menu seems too big for the small team to execute properly-- many dishes on the mezze menu were 'meh'. The wait to get food was impossibly long for fast-casual. They need to get back to basics. Spruce up the inside. Slim down the menu to just the best dishes. Speed up the service. Had the mezze sampler; some things like the hummus were good. Falafel and kibbeh were fine. Fried items were not good. Tabouleh had no bulgar wheat in it. Salads felt sort of sad. Best thing we had was the mixed meat kebabs which were very good. Shawarma sandwich was pretty flavorless.

LebTav has a good system in place so that an order can be filled fairly quick without sacrificing taste. I've not had anything here that could be categorized as so-so. All the Lebanese food that I've consumed has been nicely done and fresh, and I've been coming here for a few years. I didn't know that LebTav is actually an outgrowth of the Lebanese Taverna restaurant business. Those particular restaurants are found all about the DMV and are more formal in service and have larger menus. I should have figured out the connection given the acronym but was a bit slow on the uptake. My favorites at this spot include tabouleh, baba ghanoush, fries & garlic, chicken samosa, meat shawarma sandwich and lambwich. Generally, I get mine to go, but if I do sit and eat, it's usually for a short period of time. I just don't think you can go wrong here in terms of fast, casual.

The restaurant itself is stunning. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by the massive open hearth where much of the cooking happens. Watching the chefs tend the fire throughout the evening adds another layer to the experience and sets the tone before your first bite even arrives. Our server explained the tasting menu ($95 per person) and optional wine pairing ($75 pp), but we decided to order à la carte--and I wouldn't change a thing. We started with the Carrot Havuç spread. It was impossibly light, silky, and beautifully whipped. I'll admit, the bread seemed understated at first, but after the first bite, it became clear that the spread was meant to be the star. Every bite was packed with flavor. The lamb shish kebab was incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The Omani shrimp arrived with five enormous shrimp that were cooked flawlessly. Then came the whole roasted chicken. Watching it roast over the fire as we entered made us excited, but nothing prepared us for how incredible it would taste. It was, without question, some of the best chicken I've ever eaten. Moist, deeply flavorful, beautifully seasoned, and delicious completely on its own. It came with an accompanying sauce that was excellent, but honestly, use it sparingly--you don't want anything distracting from the chicken itself. When a dish can stand entirely on its own, that's greatness. Since it was a whole chicken, we happily went home with leftovers (which felt like winning the lottery). The cocktails deserve their own standing ovation. A special thank you to Nancy upstairs-- Great bartenders don't just make drinks--they elevate the entire experience, and she certainly did. The Serpent was beautifully balanced with bright citrus and herbal notes, while the Medina Palmer was refreshing, unique, and one of the most memorable cocktails I've had in a long time. Every drink felt carefully crafted rather than simply mixed. In the beginning of our night they asked if we were celebrating anything and I immediately answered, "my friend graduated from nursing school." Little did we know, they came with glasses of bubbly at the end of our dining experience to celebrate! Such a lovely gesture to end our evening. The word that kept coming up throughout dinner was divine. Service was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about guiding us through the menu. A few practical tips: * Reservations book well in advance, so plan ahead. * Street parking is limited. We chose to Uber and were glad we did. This was one of those meals where every course made us look at each other and say, "Wow." I can't wait to return.

Two condiments - harissa and garlic toum. Had a mix of drinks between four of us from beer to cocktails (gin, mezcal, burbon), and wine. Total was ~$430 all in (they include service fees). The endless bread is wonderful and the server was kind and attentive. I just didn't LOVE the meal, especially for the price. The zucchini was sliced incredibly thick and felt like it might as well have been baked. The hazelnuts added a solid crunch and fun flavor, but I wanted crisp. The asparagus was decent but nothing to write home about. Hummus was... Hummus. The carrot havuc was quite good but the beet borani was the crowd pleaser. The lamb kebob was my favorite part of the meal - perfectly cooked, rightly sized, and an excellent cut of meat. The ribeye was precut and sizable, with a fair number of slices without hefty doses of fat. It was perfectly seared and paired well with the condiments. All in all, it was a good meal that felt over hyped and heavily focused on bread. The restaurant itself is designed in a way that makes you feel like you're on vacation. The open hearth is awesome to see, but gosh is it toasty. Summer time might not be the best time to visit!
